The guys at Protyre Horsforth are always friendly, helpful and professional. I've been using the the centre for years, it has always been ok but the guys there now are outstanding.

I've always taken my car for service to the main dealer where I bought it, but as that's several miles away it takes a whole day, so I decided it was time to try someone local.
First off, I liked that Protyre's website explained exactly what you'd get with each level of service, and it gave a price for the whole, whereas some others give a 'total' price and then you find that some things aren't included so you have to pay extra for them.
The prices quoted seem reasonable, and especially if there happens to be a discount offer on when you book.
Also I appreciated being able to choose the time I brought the car in, and being told approximately how long the service would take.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, rang me to advise on additional work needed, and rang again to say the car was ready to be picked up.
I shall certainly use them again.

This garage and staff, and especially Matt and James, are absolutely THE very BEST.

Chose my tyres and paid on-line.
Booked a day and time, turned up and was away in about 30 mins.
Excellent service all round.

I couldn’t be happier with the service I’ve received from Protyre (Horsforth). As someone with an older car, I always approach MOT time with a bit of anxiety, especially given how some garages can take advantage, particularly when dealing with older vehicles or women customers.

My car passed its MOT with no issues at all, and importantly, there was absolutely no sense of being upsold or misled, just honest, straightforward service. A few days before the MOT, my parked car was unfortunately hit by someone who didn’t leave their details, which left me really worried. The team at Protyre were incredibly reassuring, taking the time to explain that the damage was only cosmetic and wouldn’t affect the MOT. That level of honesty and care is rare these days.

What really stood out was their customer service. Today, I had a small issue with my bonnet not opening due to a stiff cable. I popped in without an appointment, and they fixed it within minutes, free of charge. No fuss, no waiting, just genuine helpfulness.

Communication throughout was excellent, the MOT was completed the same day, and it only cost the standard £49—no hidden extras. In a time where many companies seem to prioritise profit over people, Protyre (Horsforth) stands out for doing the opposite.
