False claims re stock
I ordered a piece of software from Proviation that was, and still is, advertised on their website as "in-stock" . My money was taken swiftly taken and then .......nothing................ until I added myself to a lengthy list of dissatisfied customers on a forum that cannot be named; and then made a "one-last-try" attempt to contact them via the live chat on their website. NOW for the first time in over 5 weeks I have had a response !!! . my previous multiple emails, telephone inquiries and even live-chats have been completely ignored , Now I am assured that my goods have been dispatched ( to a "blank" post code) so only time will tell if the goods will turn up . BTW I did cancel my order and ask for a refund, but it appears that that request was ignored along with all the other queries . Never again :-(
It would appear that a refund is in process (awaiting confirmation ) .
A "reply" from the advertiser of the goods I wanted stated words to the effect that I was contacted and to confirm this , they also stated they were sending me a copy of the email that they claimed to have sent; not a great surprise to note that nothing was received in either case. PP disputes need to be raised withing 45 days so that is the path I took.
I would suggest that any would be purchaser does a thorough search around the internet and I would add further that they might inquire why so many reviews are taken down so quickly for spurious reasons. A company that seems to spend most of its time defending itself from negative feedback has more problems that it cares to admit to in public .

Brilliant service at a great price.
I have used Proviation twice now and their service has been second to none. The first delivery to the North of Scotland arrived within only 48 hours and to a one hour delivery time. My second order to be delivered within London arrived within18 hours of being ordered. I have sometimes found the goods ordered cheaper but my gut feeling has been to stick to Proviation as I know they would step up if I ever had a probelm.

5 STAR Customer Service & Satisfaction!
I have purchased many items from this company and have always been treated extremely courteously. Most recently I purchased a beautiful watch as a little retirement gift to myself.
Nothing is ever too much trouble for Proviation staff and I can only say good things and highly recommend every one to use them. They have never let me down and feel certain that they never will. Keep up the good work.

If you can find it on an other site buy it there!
If I had looked at this review site before placing my order I would never have ordered from Proviation.
My story is similar to many reviews on this site, ordered a jacket showing as in stock on 26/09/13 Delivery method chosen: Standard Express 2-3 days, needles to say nothing arrived.
E-mail communications started positively with apologies for the item being out of stock however the e-mails soon became farcical with this one sent on 10th October being an outright lie "Just a quick line to let you know its due to leave tomorrow, hope this is okay?"
This extract from an e-mail, left me more than a little confused,
"A lot of jackets coming in, and going out, has made it busy over there. I was told to be patient- so I will keep my eye on this for you" busy over where? i thought I was buying from a UK shop, the part about them being told to be patient is pure Basil Fawlty.
In conclusion unless you need someone to talk to via e-mail without ever receiving your goods, avoid buying from this shop.

Poor customer service. Appalling communications.
Like any other reviewers I have had a frustrating experience with Proviation.
I placed an order with Proviation on 12/09/13 for a leather messenger bag which their site listed as being in stock . I received a confirmatory email confirming that I had opted for the 'Standard Express 2-3 days (UK) delivery option. Payment was taken immediately.
Nothing arrived within the stated delivery window and when I sent the first of a number of emails trying to find out the status of my order I received an auto-reply which said:
'This is just to let you know your email was received safely and one of us will look into it and get a reply to you ASAP!
If you're waiting for an order, rest-assured we'll get back to you soonest.
We try to get to all emails within 24 hours. If we don't write sooner, it doesn't mean we've forgotten you and we're probably sorting out your request..
A subsequent e-mail elicited the same response but in neither case did I receive any response from a human.
Today I contacted them by phone but like the previous reviewer only reached an answerphone.
On logging on to Proviation's site to check my order status it was listed as:
'"Waiting for delivery from supplier." Some items show a longer estimated despatch time of 5-12 days, or 2-3 weeks on the item description itself. In some cases, there may be a short delay due to stock; in this case we will have emailed you to let you know when to expect your order, or will do so shortly once we have information for you.'
Unsurprisingly Proviation has not emailed me. Since it is now nearly 8 weeks since I placed my order I attempted to contact Proviation by phone only to encounter an unmanned answerphone. I also contacted them on their chatline only
to be told that it was busy but that I should leave my e-mail address and they would contact me
I have no great hopes that they will and if not I have no option but to use Paypal's resolution centre.
Proviation claim to hane contacted me 'at least twice' with updates this is true only in the sense that I received two auto-replies from the'. Still the threat of a Paypal resolution claim seems to have inspired some action in that my payment has been refunded.

Appalling, Unprofessional Service
In March of this year, I ordered a high power X21R LED torch costing £263. The website stated a 3-4 day dispatch, and I am still waiting for it 7 months later!
During this time, I’ve been messed around in a very unprofessional way, with various excuses being made for the non-delivery (e.g. change of suppliers) and several delivery promises being made and consistently not met. My emails have largely been ignored, and it’s nigh on impossible to reach them via the 2 telephone numbers quoted on the website.
Some time ago, they had completely exhausted my patience, and I requested a refund. In their most recent email, they said that if I was prepared to give them another chance, they would arrange delivery. You really couldn’t make this stuff up!
I note that during the whole 7 month period since I placed the order, the X21R torch has continued to be listed on the website with a 3-4 day dispatch. Why, when they know this cannot be delivered?
Without a doubt, this is the worst experience I have ever had of online shopping, and I would not dream of going anywhere near this company again.
--------------------
It is now 9 days since this review was posted. Proviation have not contacted me during this period; nor refunded my money. It would appear that they are also unable to post an online reply to defend their unprofessional service.
I request that Proviation have the courtesy to advise me whether they intend to voluntarily refund my £263 (which they have now had for 7 months), or whether I will need to follow up the matter via other agencies.
*** Update 15 December ***
It is now 6 weeks since Proviation posted their online response below. They subsequently emailed:
27 Nov - Sorry to re-visit this late, but I am checking to see what, if any action, has been taken to resolve this.
[Yes, that’s right – they were asking me what action, if any, had been taken!! The answer, once again, was that nothing had been done, and I expressed my incredulity that they were asking me rather than sorting it out themselves – they responded below]
27 Nov
I left it to someone to look out for an email from our old merchant acquirer with respect to performing this reversal as previously suggested. Rather than wait for me to sift through this again I just wanted to ‘make contact’ with you. Apologies that this has given the impression of disorganisation, which was not intended.
This being the case I will decide what needs to be done off of the information I have and bring this to a satisfactory conclusion.
A week later they emailed:
3 Dec - I may be able to use a new PayPal account to transfer some, if not all of the balance by tomorrow, which I will follow up with a cheque tomorrow afternoon which will clear the remainder.
I really am very sorry about all of this and I must admit to having numerous difficulties over the last few weeks. I am sorry you ever had to encounter any of this, I really am. Rest assured of my continued attention,
------------
So – their last communication of 3 December advised me that I should receive my £263 back on 4 December. What happened? Yes, you guessed it – NOTHING.
Proviation make the refund sound like an extremely complicated logistical process. In the circumstances, if they had any serious intent to make up for their appalling service, they would have sent me a cheque immediately. They have now had my £263 for 8 MONTHS.
I genuinely wonder how this company can remain in business when they demonstrate such inefficiency. The story continues……

A trying company
Proviation are a company that tries although sometimes it can be your patience. I ordered a Sporty's Original Flight bag in from Proviation along with some smaller items earlier this year. The smaller items arrived promptly but after 3mths my bag still hadn't arrived so I got my money back. They blamed shipping difficulties with the supplier however when I ordered direct from the states the bag arrived within three weeks. Having said this Proviation did stay in contact and answer my increasingly frustrated emails promptly and refunded my money when asked along with a £10 voucher. When I used the voucher to but some smaller items they arrived promptly but with one incorrect item which they have let me keep FOC with the correct item arriving quickly.. All in all I would use Proviation again as I think they are a genuine company who may have a few logistic issues to improve customer service. They seem like nice people.
Took longer to receive items than I anticipated.
Having spent more than £60 and opting for a faster delivery method I still found myself waiting 3-4 times longer than I thought it should take..

Appalling customer service full of false promises - with a slightly positive update
Items ordered in March 2013 on 7 day delivery.
One item delivered on time and satisfactory.
I have chased remainder ever since to no avail.
I have tried the following on numerous occasions:
- telephoning: usually results in a verbal promise to action immediately followed by another few weeks of waiting and no result.
- emailing - usually results in a promise to look into it immediately followed by another few weeks of waiting and no result.
- on-line chat with an advisor - resulted in a verbal promise to action immediately followed by another few weeks of waiting and no result.
- emailing the owner directly on more than one occasion including a threat to take legal action - no response.
- posting a comment on Facebook asking if a discount code could be applied to my outstanding order - immediate response from a member of staff asking for order details and confirmation of what was missing - followed by no further response and guess what - the comment has been removed from Facebook (or I am no longer able now to view them!).
The items that remain outstanding as of October 11th are a GoPro wifi BacPac and Remote plus some anti dew inserts. I was sent a Bacpac without remote but what use is that to me?
What do I have to do to get action out of this company? I always thought that small claims court was a last resort but it looks like thats the only option left open to me.

Update October 30th
Following my earlier report I received an immediate response by email that afternoon from the boss at Proviation. Goods were shipped same day with a regular email follow up with the hope that my review would be revised / updated accordingly.
Most goods now received with the exception of a wrist strap which was part of the GoPro wifi remote bundle as ordered but not part of the individual wifi and remote components as supplied. I have now received an offer of a refund for this item.
On a positive note I was advised by email the following from Proviation:
"it has taken time, but we do now have a better way of managing these situations. Unfortunately your order pre-dates this."
By contrast I would like to draw a comparison with a company who shipped a £50 item to me by post which arrived the next day with around £1.50 excess postage to pay due to an error by the postal service. Upon contacting the company to advise them the boss insisted on a complete refund of the entire order value. Now that's what I call customer service!
My rating for Proviation has now been upgraded from one star to two as I feel there is still a lot to be learned from this incident.

Long term proviation customer, no problems
I've used proviation for years, for almost flight sim related purchase I've needed and prices and stock are usually excellent as is customer service and delivery times.
Definitely one of the best stores around for getting real and virtual world stuff.
Proviation is wonderful. A+
I loved my experience with Proviation because I was able to talk to a sales rep right on the website withoutcalling anyone. I only have a limited time to shop with my busy schedule and just needed some advice on a new radar system. I was recommended the AirNav Radar Box Pro and I grabbed the upgrade kit as well. I LOVE it so far and think it's the best available at that price point. I also needed a new flight jacket, and the rep was able to give me some great deals since a made a larger purchase. They have a huge selection of jackets, so it took me some perusing to finally choose. I went with a Red Canoe jacket as I loved the amount of pockets and design. Very stylish.
The rep was extremely friendly, very knowledgeable, and saved me money. It is no doubt they hold the highest standard of customer service. The same products at other sites cost more, so their ability to maintain the best prices is top-notch. Package arrived within 8 days-no problems at all. Great shop!
Excellent service. Resolved my problem
Proviation restored my faith in internet shopping after a bad experience with a similar company.
I paid for express next delivery, as I'd been let down elsewhere but received email to say battery could not ship that day and would not arrive until few days later.
Appreciated immediate contact by the company without me contacting them and received full refund for the postage. It arrived at the end of the week.
Excellent service and fast delivery.
Made an order of Air Training ATPL Manuals and some other pilot training books inclusive of 2 ASA Trip Kit flying bags. Excellent delivery, arrived earlier than I expected. Thumbs up Guys. Making new orders soon.
I highly recommend.
Excellent range; nicely-priced
Lovely selection of products. I ordered a small product to begin with; my second order was more substantial including smalls for maintenance and filters. This arrived complete in 2 days.
I will shortly be using them to buy a passenger headset, so highly recommend based on my experience.
Bad experience.
I've ordered some books long time ago. I was waiting for almost 2 months for it. I could't wait any longer, I asked for full refund. Now is almost a month and I still don't have money on my account. They don't anwser to my emails and their online chat is always busy. I just wonder for how long I will have to wait now...

An absolutely disgraceful company to deal with
I purchased a wireless weather station in good faith for a birthday present for my wife.
Ordered it, was told a 2 weeks later it was no longer available and offered an alternative. I wasn't too keen on alternative so asked for a refund. 4 weeks on and still no sign of refund. No-one ever answers the phone, emails do not get replied to, yet someone is tweeting on their behalf and still no sign of a refund or a call back. My advice would be to avoid this company at all costs. An absolutely 'pot luck' company to deal with, and until I get my money back, I will ensure they're reflected so in such a manner
Avoid, avoid, avoid

Terrible Service, Avoid at all costs !
I ordered some software which was shown as in stock, 3 days later I got an email saying they were waiting for stock, when I asked for my money back they said it was in stock and going out that day. Several days later I got an email saying it was delayed again. I emailed them but got no response, so I raised a dispute with PayPal, which they ignored. I then raised a claim with PayPal. 2 days later it was delivered, but still no contact or explanation. Also the case was damaged due to poor packaging.
If you Google them or look at there twitter you will see loads of similar complaints. I wish I had done first!
Please shop elsewhere, companies like this do not deserve your money....

I will not order with Proviation again.
I paid for and ordered a 'Desing 4 Pilots' airline case on the 21st of July. Proviation's website quoted an express delivery of 2-3 days for the item. After 2 weeks of waiting I contacted Proviation for information on the delay. No reply.
I sent another e-mail a week later and was told they would look into it and email me back. A further week later a received an email assuring me "Your delivery will be forthcoming". I chased them up for a more accurate delivery date and was told the item should arrive in a weeks time, the delay being caused by supply issues. I informed them that should the item not arrive by the end of the next week I would like to cancel my order.
At the end of the week I had not received the item and informed Proviation that I would like to cancel. 1 and a half months, 5 emails and 3 phone calls later and no response from Proviation I called my bank who cancelled the transaction.
Since posting this review I have received the reply below plus the e-mail as described. I was genuinely upset to result to cancelling the transaction myself and posting a negative review; after sending so many emails with nothing but auto replies I did start to wonder whether I had been forgotten or conned. I understand that others have had positive experiences with Proviation however mine is as I have described it. In future I will direct my business elsewhere.
