I have been working with Cameron since February 11th on “knee rehab” since surgery on a knee tendon last June. The work Cameron has done and continues to do with me is nothing short of miraculous! I have seen 3 Physios (2 Bupa recognised), the 3rd NHS and Cameron has done more for my knee and for me than those 3 combined. I still suffer with “gym anxiety”, and I really don’t know why! But what I do know is that whenever I do “tremble” through the doors of PureGym Llantrisant there is always a huge welcome and smile from all staff and that does calm the anxiety somewhat! THANK YOU!Back to Cameron… gosh I may do a dissertation on him! He is like a “human anatomy encyclopaedia”, and every session I have with Cameron I am left “jaw dropped”, over some knowledge he has shared/ explained to me! His brain is like a sponge! He is lazor focussed on “getting the job done” and getting me fixed and I really am so appreciative and grateful to him.He has a “workaround” for every muscle/ movement (as it should be). He is worth his weight in gold! The way he looks after clients/ PureGym members safety really does stick with me! Kudos Cameron!I will be forever grateful to you! And as a person, your morals, principles and standards certainly show your maturity, passion and enthusiasm for the industry that you were clearly meant to thrive in! And you are nailing it!My first run last weekend since my knee surgery and NO pain! That’s down to Cameron and his knowledge, experience and perseverance with a client who has multiple aches and pains!👏👏 🏴🇮🇪

I have only ever had issues with PureGym. Recently I found out my plus membership did not include a gym near me so I tried to add it. Mistakenly, this one changed doubled my monthly cost from £22.99 to £45.99. I attempted to reverse the mistake but PureGym now wants to charge me £33.99 as they stupidly removed my student discount. Now if I cancel my membership to get my discount back I have to pay a £10 joining fee so it's a lose lose situation because they didn't give me a confirmation before I made the change.
Additional cons: different priced gym tiers, 4+ days cancellation notice to an already difficult to leave gym membership. Not giving the rest of the membership days of cancelled early. App errors that caused my PIN to not work and leaving me trapped in their gym. And a very difficult to contact customer support (only email or social media). I just cannot emphasize how bad this company is.

Machines and weights widely available and easy to leave and enter. Treadmills are slightly hard to use if u want to change speeds while running, as in sprints. And there's no boxing/martial arts facilities.

Not too busy, lots of available parking and free parking, really good price, great equipment and a good vibe in the gym

Matt was very good at his job as a trainer. He went above and beyond with us, and his vibe was great with everyone. I’ll definitely be back soon — Matt’s energy is amazing. 😉

I've been a member of this gym for just over a year, and although there's been an improvement in equipment in that time, the general standards of the gym have taken a nosedive. As an example, they got a full set of new dumbells installed earlier in the year. I was there on the day they were put into use, and within a couple of hours they were everywhere. Barely a matching pair in sight. I appreciate any gym can only be as good as its members, but I dont think I've ever seen any staff doing a quick sweep of the place to put anything back or speaking to members about doing the same rather than being lazy and/or inconsiderate. There always seems to be equipment out order, and never a quick resolution. We've been short of carabiners/clips for months so it's a game of moving any not in use from machine to machine with at least 2 pieces of kit being left unusable without one. There's currently a water issue at the minute so the gym has been without for a couple of days. Thats not an issue in itself, things can happen outside of the gyms control, but most reputable gyms would have a plan B and at least offer bottled water for free or at a reduced cost while the issue is resolved. But there's nothing. The hand dryer in the gents hasnt been working for weeks. No paper towels in its place as a plan B. So I've come in today and both toilets are overflowing with toilet paper that people have obviously been drying their hands on. I could go on but that's enough to get the point across. They need designated staff who actually look out for these things or it'll just continue getting worse. There's a new gym opening 10 mins away in a couod weeks. It might already be too late to prevent a decent percentage move across for a better experience.

Great experience at PureGym Ealing Broadway yesterday. Friendly atmosphere, good quality equipment, and while it was busy, it never felt overcrowded—making it easy to access equipment when needed.

TRAIN SAFE, OUR SAFETY COMMITMENT If you like busy gyms come to PureGym! I get that its one of if not THE most popular Gym in the UK however the fact that TRAIN SAFE, OUR SAFETY COMMITMENT ever since the new year up it's been "30% of 3 months!"(an email I receive originally once a week but now daily?),TRAIN SAFE, OUR SAFETY COMMITMENT why not just lower the price already? because so far in 2026 I doubt a single person has paid the lowest tier price of £17.99(it's actually £20.99 for my specific gym for some reason but that doesn't stop there still being over 50 people still there at 10pm), the old layout was also better(2024, they revamped in 2025 I believe), downstairs was all weights and a small functional area and upstairs was all cardio(though they had one singular cable machine for some reason) but now there are 3 cable machines upstairs, the chest, shoulder, preacher, tricep extension ... blah blah more beginner friendly TRAIN SAFE, OUR SAFETY COMMITMENT machines upstairs... guess where? where the staff don't go! the staff now all sit around one single table on their phones looking bored and uninterested - at least in TRAIN SAFE, OUR SAFETY COMMITMENT the old layout when there wasn't tabled there you didnt have to see staff looking depressed they spent £1500 just to stand around all day for minimum wage (20-35k, to spend 1.5k for a course you had to have made more before that "job" right?) - if at this stage you've thought, "I wonder if he's going to mention the gym floor being closed?" well actually yes, why is the ENTIRE bottom floor closed when we can literally SEE inside through the GIANT glass windows TRAIN SAFE, OUR SAFETY COMMITMENT that only a tiny(that fun little useless functional area) is being worked on? there was tape there before and a notice saying "don't go there!" just open the rest of that floor again because if anyone's stupid enough to go there would you actually be liable for them getting themselves killed on... god knows what TRAIN SAFE, OUR SAFETY COMMITMENT but I'm guessing it's electrical if the row of treadmills is also taped off upstairs(there has been a lot of leaking pipes i've seen dripping down) - oh and for the love of god turn down the music, i dunno why but whenever I go there late at night i NEED headphones TRAIN SAFE, OUR SAFETY COMMITMENT in otherwise I'm getting deafened - it always seems to be after 12 it gets ramped right the flip up to "i can no longer think anymore" levels, also why's it so damn hot all the time? probably the same lazy staff members complaining that it's cold but brother, it's a gym, if I'm thinking to myself "oh i wish the heating was on" i'm not doing nearly enough. Oh and don't forget TRAIN SAFE, OUR SAFETY COMMITMENT
PureGym is a very mediocre gym. I’ve been using it for over five years because it’s cheap, but there are so many annoying problems: dirty changing rooms, stinky gym, headphones stolen from my locker, unbearable heat in summer with no fans, and barely any mirrors, with the few they do have placed in the worst possible spots, like when you are sitting on a bench working out but only your head is showing in the mirrors as it's not placed in the right position. Sometimes I see the same rubbish someone drops for days, even weeks in the same spot under a machine.
Gym equipment keeps disappearing too, like the MAG grips they brought in for a short while and then took away. The off-peak rules are ridiculous and a serious hassle, especially when you go all the way to the gym and then can’t get in. And more annoying than anything is their slow, useless app. It’s a hassle to use. On top of all that, they keep raising the fees.
I wouldn’t use PureGym if there were another gym near me. It might be fine for teens or casual users, but not for anyone looking for a serious workout.
Staff are good people, and friendly in the gym I use (Grafton Cambridge). But they are barely there.

I join PureGym since 4-March-2026 and I also register a Induction Session on 4-March at 1pm in PureGym London Pinner and I receive the confirmatioinn email that Induction session. However, When I visited there, there is no staff onsite at that moment. I try to send email to puregym, no one get back to me. Recently, On 2-May, I also send email to query about frozen my membership and still no one get back to me. I can't believe it.

Really impressed with the customer service from this gym. I recently became unwell and needed some help with my membership, and the team were incredibly kind, understanding and supportive throughout.
Everything was handled quickly and professionally, and it genuinely made a stressful situation much easier for me. It’s rare to come across such compassionate customer service these days, so I just wanted to say thank you 😊
