Convenient but not very comfortable/clean
I love the fact that it is very close to home and accessible whenever I want to go, no problems with parking and a good range of equipment.
HOWEVER - the air conditioning is appalling its a stifling sweat box, amenities (water/changing rooms) out of order multiple times, doesnt' feel very clean - you can just about see out of the windows as they are so dirty. I know it's a budget gym - but these things should be a given!

Temperatures in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Marylebone has a great recent addition to the team Lucaz classes are gaining a loyal followingEveryone greeted everyone warmly as they arrive, Lukasz enthusiasm wis infectious, which made it easy to stay motivated throughout the entire session. He moves around the room, offering helpful tips on form and posture, Currently hosting most of the weekday lunch classes, im finding myself more and more , creating extended lunch times to attend .Its easy see why he has been appointed Manager of the delayed opening of Kensal Rise branchThe studio at Marylebone has the benefit of natural daylight, which is amazing how much difference it makes to your energy levels to be in a dark studio.I strongly recomnend Pure gym Marylebone classes

Excellent gym with a great atmosphere!
I’ve had a really positive experience at PureGym. The gym is always well kept, clean, and tidy, which makes every workout feel comfortable and enjoyable. The equipment is amazing, modern, and well maintained, with everything you need for a great training session.
The staff are also very supportive and approachable, creating a welcoming environment for everyone. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to work out, with a great atmosphere and excellent facilities. I would definitely recommend PureGym to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and well-equipped gym.

Portishead puregym is by far the best…
Portishead puregym is by far the best puregym I have ever been to. Its clean, tidy, the weights are all racked instead of all over the place. Very impressed and looking forward to going back tomorrow

Customer service is abysmal
I signed up for a membership. The website did not state that this gym is not open until 22 May. The membership is supposed to allow access to other gyms but my membership remains pending. A direct debit has been taken and I have sent emails asking them to activate my membership so that I can use other gyms in the mean time or to get a part refund. I keep getting automated responses to every email. Their phone lines to do work and they do not answer their on social media. Customer service is abysmal.

We no longer accept inbound calls from members, and we're sorry that you have not received a response previously. It may be that an email or DM you sent received an auto-response and this needed to be replied to before it was put through to an advisor. Please also check your junk/spam folder, for any emails from us that might have been missed.
For any upcoming gyms, it will always be advertised on the gym's homepage via our website if a gym is 'Coming Soon', 'Opening Soon', or a specific time period for when the gym is set to open. To find that, search the gym's location on our website and click on its name for further information.
When you sign up in 'Opening Soon' gym, you make a payment for your first month and your joining fee via direct debit a few days after signing up. This initial payment secures your offer which is exclusive to member who joined before the gym open, and you won't be charged again until one month after your gym opens, so you will not pay for any time that your gym isn't open. Signed up members will also get an email with the confirmed opening date as soon as we have it!
Whilst your gym is waiting to open, your membership will remain temporarily inactive, and will only become active once the branch has opened. However, if you are looking to use an open gym in the meantime, we can transfer you over to another gym and bring your start date forward. This will be for the standard rate of the gym you are intending to use, but as soon as the new gym opens, we'll transfer you back to the special offer that you originally signed up for!

Best Personal Trainer Ever!
I have been working with my personal trainer, Glen Kee, for some time now, and I am thoroughly impressed with their approach to meeting my individual needs. My main goals have been to improve my balance, enhance my flexibility, and build overall strength. Glen has consistently tailored our sessions to focus on these areas, introducing a variety of exercises that challenge me whilst ensuring my safety and progression.
I particularly appreciate the attention to detail and the encouragement provided throughout each session, which has helped me see noticeable improvements. The bespoke routines not only address my specific requirements but also keep the workouts engaging and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Glen to anyone seeking a personalised fitness journey.

I’m very disappointed with my…
I’m very disappointed with my experience. I paid for PureGym Plus because it was advertised as giving access to all gyms in Edinburgh, but I’ve discovered I can only access two locations instead of all of them. This is misleading and frustrating, especially considering the higher membership cost. I expected clearer information before purchasing.

With a Plus membership, you will have access to any gym that is at the same price or lower than your home gym. Once you're a member, you can view and alter this list of gyms on the 'Your Gym' section of your Member's Area to fit your needs. If you are requiring access to a gym that is more expensive than your current home gym, this will increase your monthly price to the highest-priced gym.

The gym is very clean, class was fantastic
The gym is very clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Did the lift and core class Tuesday night. The class was fantastic delivered professionally and fun, big shout out to Glyn Davis for a fantastic class, booked again for next Tuesday.

Gym? More like a Coresh!
Bought a day pass to try it out for the first time and genuinely was more like a kids club than a gym. 21:30 and filled with groups of teenage boys taking up the entire bottom floor, couldn't use any of the equipment. Went to the second floor and used the treadmill instead. What a wasted £10 and a waste of time for me! Will not be returning.

We're afraid we are unable to monitor the usage of phones in our gyms, however where possible, we ask that members share equipment between sets, to ensure that all members are able to get the most out of their workout. Although sometimes this isn't possible, we do ask that other members are taken into consideration when taking breaks between sets.
