I worked with Verity, one of the PTs in Chippenham and she made the session fun and motivating! I had such a good workout and left feeling positive and strong! The gym is always clean. The changing rooms are regularly cleaned; I saw a manager personally check and clean himself. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. It was busy, as I expected for a Sunday at 11:30am, but not over-packed. Free parking right outside too.

Overall, the gym is pleasant to use - there’s a variety of equipment and the women’s area is decent enough to cover at least 70% of your workouts. However, the toilets and the changing rooms are in dire need of cleaning/altering. The changing rooms, at least the women’s, reek of sewage and poo. I can locate the smell from the hairdryers as I whenever someone uses it, the smell becomes stronger and unbearable. There seems to also be a smell from the showers, but nowehere near as bad as whatever has happened to the hairdryers - this makes the entire room stink, with people having to rush in and out, or cover up their noses to avoid smelling it. The toilets are horrific, there should be at least more frequent and more deeper cleaning, or make 2/3 of them gendered. The smell and amount of urine on the floor is extreme, it’s terrible to even go in and sometimes I even avoid using it if it reaches such an unusable state. Quite literally there are urine puddles, splashes, USED toilet paper all over the floor - clearly some members don’t have basic hygiene awareness, but these need cleaning much much more often than the usual routine they have. Honestly, Id quit this gym from the hygiene, smell, and cleanliness alone but there’s not much else that offers 24/7 access locally.

Just did my first class there (Combat with Jack) and as a bigger person trying to start their fitness journey I did feel nervous and weary about going but I didn’t feel out of place and Jack was very positive throughout the class giving suggestions for variations on some of the exercises for fitness! Although I may not go back to that class until I’m a bit fitter i still enjoyed it and felt like it was inclusive positive class!

Great gym with state ofthe equipment, modern and clean, but... I tried two classes GLC and Zumba. A complete travesty. In the first class the trainer walked around the whole time with an energy drink and a phone, without any approach, not even showing the exercises. In every other gym in the town there is a waiting list for Zumba. Maybe you should think about why almost no one attends this class - some kind of dance, more like jumping without any rhythm.

I don't feel safe as a woman there!

Pure Gym is amazing value for money and the equipment is well maintained and clean. The staff are really supportive and responsive too.
I recently experienced a problem with a parking issue. Pure Gym Manager Stephen Radford took up the issue on my behalf and had it resolved really quickly. He communicated his progress professionally throughout the matter.
He is a great example of problem solving skills in all aspects of membership. Cheers Steve 👍

I was so anxious when I walked in and the trainer I can’t remember his name but he made me feel at ease and he very simply showed me how to use machines without making me feel he judged me in anyway and you have great variety of machines

Recently joined in January, the gym equipment has improved, cleanliness is outstanding. PT Luke & staff are dedicated to ensuring the gym equipment and areas are immaculate. Highly recommended as gym.

The gym has four bikes, which is perfect for people like my with joint issues as it’s low impact. All four bikes have issues. One has been broken for almost two months. Two have issues with straps which continuously come out, making them very hard to pedal. The other has awful tension so it feels like you are treading through mud and you can’t fix it. This gym massively requires people to fix the facilities. We pay for a fully equipped gym, not broken equipment.
UPDATE: still broken, what a surprise! This place is beginning to feel like a scam, what am I paying for?

I have so many good things to say about this gym that I don't know where to start: the cleaning my God is extraordinary the machines are clean without dust, the showers are extremely clean and especially the toilet are my god! The women-only area is very inclusive and appropriate, the gym has good ventilation and aroma everything is so clean 😍 I feel so safe and confident I RECOMMEND IT 1000% if you have any hard you can come to see the machines and have a look around as I did and I didn't finish going out and I automatically got my membership
