This is a Great Gym. No frills but great value for money for the price. I would highly recommend to anyone who maybe looking for a gym that costs about half the price of some of the other providers.

Shawlands is great gym full of great equipment and staff are always really helpful, classes are informative and staff are very professional in demonstrations, warmups and cooldown. The cleanliness of the gym is really good. The memberships for puregym are affordable.

Susie is a great manger here and always tidying up and offering great classes and running charity Events and offering a nice positive community and support to make everyone welcome! I recommend her Zumba class! I think the company itself need to invest in some better machines for this location to be in line with the other commercial gyms! Such as one of the lying leg curl machines and some callisthenics bars

I use the new Cumbernauld PureGym and really enjoy the classes and atmosphere. The instructors are all fantastic. I did a strength class with Zander on Sunday and he had obviously put a lot of thought into the layout of the circuit to make it feel smooth moving from one exercise to another. It was hard but really enjoyable.

Dealt with Emma in customer support who was extremely helpful and efficient

Gym ok when quiet, otherwise just full of kids loitering around on equipment!

Best PureGym I’ve been to so far! Especially love the women’s only training area in the basement.

Delt with a girl called Kate, so helpful at first I thought she was taking the Mic'.She answered my frankly inept questions with a friendly courtesy.
I work in the customer service field and know excellence when I bump into it.
Thanks Kate.

I really like this gym and I have no issues with the staff or with the gym itself. It is my local gym. the only issue I have is with how busy it is now. I used to use it a lot and now I can't and don't because it is always busy regardless what time of day it is. I only use it if I really have to and use a PureGym elsewhere now that is much quieter when I do my training.
As someone who is autistic it would be good if the PureGyms had quiet hours like what some shops do so that autistic people can go to the gym without feeling put off or worried about how busy it will be.

PureGym Woolwich is aweful. Very bad crowd goes there. Always smell of drugs makes it difficult to workout . Sometimes they play very loud music in the studio, which has no doors and neither is sound proof. I’d never waste my time and energy in this premise

Far too loud! When classes are running with music competing with that always played in the gym. The average volume is well over 100dB. This is sufficient to damage your hearing. Not what I go to the gym for.
Response from Pure Gym misses the point. It's not an 'inconvenience' to have my hearing damaged by music over 100Db.
PG also missing s marketing opportunity to push 'calm and quiet' time with NO amplified music.
I wouldn't be the only member to really value this, and folk that want music can use headphones during wuiet times.
PG also risk their employees taking legal action because of health ing loss.
I will see what response I get from my gym and review whether PG is the best option for me.

I pay for the Yanga sports water bolt-on, but the flavours are often unavailable and sometimes it just gives out plain water. It’s also been completely out of action for the last few days.
One of the entry pods has been broken for at least a couple of weeks as well, and it’s causing queues when people are trying to get in and out of the gym.
I do like the gym overall, but I hope the management can be a bit more proactive when it comes to addressing these issues.
