Management behavior

This is for 4800 4th st renton highlands store.
Attention Management
(In regards to Daqualine behavior ),

As a customer, I was very uncomfortable witnessing a manager speak negatively about a young employee. This employee has consistently been helpful during my visits. The behavior created a hostile and unprofessional atmosphere that affected the overall customer experience.

I strongly recommend considering appropriate corrective actions, including possible suspension and additional training. It also raises concern about how many employees may be subjected to this type of treatment on a regular basis.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

It's a job and nothing special about…

It's a job and nothing special about it. Repetitious pay check job with zero promotional prospects unless you go into management. The only reason I work here is for health insurance. The income is only a bonus. The company refuses to offer livable paychecks to it's employees and it is causing a ton of turn over in the business. The job is so horrid they are only attracting high schoolers first job ever or people so flakey they need jobs like this or it's nothing. The rest of us can't cut a break and get treated like garbage. The pros and cons of this job is so many it's different for everyone. I'm finding there are so many karens in this job it is tremendously demeaning. The make it right customer first policy is total asinine to deal with on a regular basis. I can not tell you how difficult it is to remain so shallow and stupid when working with the general public. you get treated like garbage a lot when working with the general public and demeaned to the point of crying a lot. I had to transfer away from two stores because the snobby money grubbing society nature of the towns were so bad you weren't even treated like a human bag but rather a verbal punching bag.

The union has pros and cons. The pro is everyone gets fair pay and certain rights. The union protects you in customer or employer disputes. This job is really difficult to get fired from yet people find ways on a daily basis. What gets most people is attendance, selling age restricted items to minors or violating to many policies or procedures. One con of the union is it protects people that should of been fired years ago but some how they manage to hold onto their job until retirement. This is one disadvantage. It takes 2+ years to fire someone. Some b.s. that's allowed in kroger would not even be tolerated for one week in office settings. Kroger stores have toxic work environments in most areas. It is rare to find a decent store that doesn't have one.

I can not tell you how many racist coworkers I've worked with. I've never experienced discrimination until I came here. racism can occur from any race to any other race. Not the traditional methods people think of. It's unfortunate but kroger has a zero tolerance towards this b.s. Yet it takes people 2+ years to get terminated for racism because of the union.
