I got a ladder point which I got early in the morning, wasn't thinking straight which was to big for what I wanted, when I rang Scott at customer services he sorted it out for and I got one for the size I needed and swapped it over for me,

They had the right part that I required, whereas others couldn’t. The existing loft ladder had a bracket to which a ‘standard’ brass type wouldn’t fit

Excellent service and delivery. I would have given 5 stars except the ladder supplied was not the model advertised on your website. The telescopic ladder received was Zarges (2 mini mounting plates). The one in your website pictures has a single mounting frame for the top of the ladder, so is a different manufacturer. I looked specifically for the single mounting frame type as it does not require two people to be present to do the installation. In the end I was happy with the ladder supplied and was able to find someone to help.

Phoned up about a ladder that was out of stock.
They sourced it and delivered the next day.

Excellent product at a reasonable price. As my ladder was made for me and not ex-stock, it took a few weeks to arrive: a little more info on order progression would have been good, but I would certainly use Ramsay Ladders again. Michael.

Went to see Ramsay in Forfar to ask about getting some springs for a loft ladder I bought direct from Ramsay in Forfar. The springs and wire rods were missing from the ladder.
Spoke to a first guy who was quite helpful. He tried to find some springs etc, but could not. He originally suggested they might just take them from another ladder in stock!
He then passed me on to another guy( Stuart?/Scot? maybe).
He was saying how it might be difficult to source these springs, which I found a bit strange. I thought they bought the stuff in and assembled to make the ladder.
Turns out , these ladders are bought in from Dolle, and only distributed!

NOT even a Ramsay ladder.

I could have bought any number of different ladders, but thought I would stick with the Ramsay as thought they would be the best.
I thought I was actually buying a Ramsay ladder, but I was wrong.
Also, there are 3 different instructions for these ladders. One from Ramsay in Forfar, one on their website and one on the lid of the ladders themselves. Ridiculous!

Anyway, the guy says he will get back to me about sourcing new springs in a few days.

Guess what? 2 weeks later, I still never heard back.

Went in again to see this same guy, to be told he can't find any. Then 2 minutes later he has them up on his screen to say I can buy them for £40.
Shows me some pre-built ladders( bought in from Dolle) and says he doesn't believe the springs were missing.
So I can buy them myself for £40.

Very good quality ladder! Very happy with the service and product! Everyone raves about Ramsey ladders and now I see why.

I had arranged a joiner to install the ladder, but I was delighted with the delivery process....ordered one day and delivered the next!

Needed a fairly long, (4.5m), single section aluminium ladder but didn’t want the stabiliser bar or cut outs for one as it was to be used for hedge cutting on roughish soil based ground. Spoke to these guys after plenty of online searching and a supremely helpful lady said no problem to each of my questions and said it would be 14 days to manufacture. One week later ladder arrives all great, and a very fair price. There really are some great British companies and people. Many thanks.

Completely impressed by this purchase.
For a non-standard style of ladder - a wooden shelf ladder - all the ones online seemed very expensive - until I came across Ramsay's which was easily the most competitive.
It arrived the next day - admittedly from only 70 miles away - and I was very surprised by its out-and-out quality and value for money. Supremely sturdy construction - from Douglas fir with an attractive reddish tinge. Fully varnished, it has comfortable, wide steps, feels completely secure and will literally last forever.
Unqualified recommendation.
