Farcical - I had DSA support lined up requiring two different mentors…
They allocated my face to face to someone 250-300 miles away because it didn’t occur to the clown doing the matches that Lancashire and Hampshire are a long way from one another. When I raised my concern with the mentor they replied “LOL - just another routine mistake by the system” - it’s good to know that me being without support is worthy of ‘laughing out loud’.
The same day I was told that they couldn’t find a specialist mentor in the other role. This came after the office phoned me asking if I’d change my meeting method from face-to-face to online - despite the company saying that you can choose between face-to-face, hybrid or online.
A day later the office accept that they made a mistake in the initial allocation - only to then tell me that there is no mentor available for me in that role but they were hopeful one might become available at some point (but no guarantee).
But I was told that the other specialist had been found but not before impressing on me that she preferred hybrid meetings - so implying that my choice was an inconvenience.
Farcical is an understatement - I’ll be looking towards civil action as the distress and anxiety caused is off the scale - I’ve asked my DSA assessors to reallocate me to a new company. In done with Randstad - they are a dangerous liability who shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near people with disabilities.
I’ve no interest in a bog standard apology - this needs to go a lot further

Working with Randstad has been a fantastic experience. Everything is punctual, structured, and well-organised, with clear guidance, follow-up messages, and helpful reminders about things like timesheets. I’ve been very impressed with how easy it is to work with them, and all the staff are incredibly supportive and helpful.
This was one of my best years working with an agency, and I would go back to Randstad in a heartbeat if I needed agency work again. I’ve now started a permanent role, which I’m really looking forward to, but Randstad gives you that reassuring feeling that there’s always support and opportunities available. I would highly recommend checking out their available roles!

Someone sent me a job post from Randstad as she knew the people who run the company, if she didn't know them I wouldn't thought Randstad was an identity theft scam.
I applied for a job through Randstad. I should've know it was going to be terrible from the first moment I tried to contact the recruiter. We scheduled in a call which didn't happen and I was very adaptable the first time. It happened twice after that, with an eventual call hours after we had arranged.
Then the process of applying happened and I heard nothing back, no confirmation of receipt, no answering my questions, even when I phoned the person was never available and "would contact you when she's free" -its been weeks.
I'm so glad I didn't provide references and possibly cause upheavel at my current job with how badly this was managed.

Robert Davies & Brooke Palmer helped me secure a new property management position. They were both so helpful & supportive. I mostly dealt with Brooke to begin with and then she asked Robert to step in to deal with the contracts / vetting process as she was going on annual leave. Great communication by phone and email and even a good luck text before my interview which was a really lovely touch. I would thoroughly recommend Randstad if you are looking to get a new job. They have made the process really smooth and as stress free as possible. Thank you Brooke & Robert!

I contacted Randstad UK to discuss some of their current roles in nurseries and the person I spoke to didn't really listen to me and asked me the same questions multiple times. She seemed to lack understanding about the difference between a nursery and a primary school, and did not understand the difference between working with young children and young adults, and thought a job in a college might be working with children under 5. I felt extremely let down. I was also asking for full time, all year round work, ideally working 8-6 or 9-5 and she told me they didn't have roles with these hours, despite me looking at some on their website. I told her I was no longer interested and asked her to remove my details from their database. She confirmed this and then the same day another member of the team emailed me, and again I asked to have my details removed. After this had been confirmed the orignal person called and emailed me to say she'd made a mistake and they did have roles with my ideal hours. Again I asked for my details to be removed from their system. I felt disappointed, let down and shocked by the lack of professionalism and failure to comply with GDPR. I would not recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed every step of the process. The application was by far the simplest and most user-friendly I have encountered in over two years of job hunting in the UK. The first phase of the interview stood out as the friendliest and most relaxed I have ever experienced. It was straightforward and to the point, with no pressure whatsoever. Jonathan, my interviewer, was incredibly supportive and created a comfortable environment that made the discussion easy and natural.
The second phase was an assessment centre, which was both friendly and impactful. It was surprisingly fun, as I didn’t feel the usual pressure associated with job applications. Overall, the entire journey from application to hiring was swift and efficient.
I have nothing but admiration for Randstad and their professional yet approachable recruitment process. Highly recommended!

My experience with Randstad Care has been quite disappointing. Over the course of three months, I was only able to work for 4 nights. The majority of the time, approximately 90%, my applications for shifts were rejected. In my final month of employment, I managed to secure four shifts, but unfortunately, they were all cancelled—one just the night before, leaving me with less than 24 hours' notice and without compensation. The consultant assured me that the other shifts were still required, yet after two days, those too were cancelled, resulting in a complete loss of income for the month, with no coherent explanation provided. Additionally, I was sent for an interview for a temporary position with a third-party company, which I passed, but I never received any follow-up regarding the job.
In contrast, I have worked with several other agencies without any issues, with Staffscanner being the most reliable, as they offer compensation for last-minute cancellations. Therefore, I would strongly advise against working with Randstad Care in Scotland.

Fantastic communication explaining everything you need to know in advance what to expect on your very important interview and email reminders building up to your interview couldn't ask for more.

Gayathri has provided me with user support on several occasions. First class in every way calm patient polite incisive and seems to have an empathetic understanding of my various problems first off with every call she instills confidence - I am not very good at tech- Gayathri has always had a clear solution to every problem and is tireless in helping with supplementary queries. A shining light if all support was this good we would all be rich and happy. Thanks.

I applied for a role through Ranstad for APA. I spent days researching the company and preparing myself for the review. Claire Kane was supposed to be the consultant assisting me. She never bothered to call before my interview to ensure I was prepared despite saying she would. The morning of the interview I received a text saying she would call afterwards. I never received a reply from either party. I was completely ghosted by Claire and the the recruitment team at APA. After wasting days of my time preparing, neither company could find the time to simply let me know they wouldn't be continuing with my application. There is an etiquette that should be respected when people spend hours of their time applying for a job TO WORK FOR YOU. I will never work with Ranstad again.
