I have not worked with Ranstad education for over 7 years and I've just had the 5th person contact me asking if I am looking for work within education in 2 months and have since changed career.
I have explained this now to 5 people in 2 months asking me if I'm still looking for work in the education sector.
3 people have told me that they are very sorry and that they will write a note on the call log and remove my contact number but after continuously being lied to, I am gradually losing my patience with Ranstad.

Worked for 14 months for a local council through Ranstad which I thought was great as I was working from home but this set up turned sour once I was given a weeks notice just like that. Decided that they were going to go automated which for the scale of the job seems iffy as the other lass would have also gone. Asking me to take my it stuff back to head office where I had to pay for the privilege, cost £25 in petrol. There is an office local to me but even though I got most of the stuff from this place. Boss’s boss was an absolute arse to my parents who took this back for me, speaking over them!! Got myself a better job where I know this is for the long haul. Will never use randstad again, pay always wrong when my team leader was on holiday which was most of the time, ring to no avail. Absolute shocking!!!

Twice I have received a phone call about a vacancy they have for me, twice I’ve enrolled and twice I’ve never heard a thing from them after... will there be a third? NO WAY!

Horrible company to work for they treat you like your just a number, there are so much other agencies you should try before going to Ranstad. they are a very big company which is the only positive but other than that they will register you and never give you shifts regardless of how hard you work. They have there main staff which they will allocate there shifts to, it’s just not fair I’ve tried for years now and they keep gas lighting me saying they have no shifts available even though I’ve spoken to other people who work for them and they have had loads of shifts. I have had nothing but good feedback every time I’ve been to the homes they have sent me to so there is no valid reason it’s just down to
Favouritism instead of how good you are at your job. If they have done the same to you please leave a review and let people know because I’ve seen them do it to multiple staff who work for them not just myself.

My experience was pleasant and helpful, Thomas Chipchase was supportive and helped me through out the process. My only critique was that I was not informed of the company name before my interview and I received the wrong address. However, a quick email and it was resolved in less than 15 minutes, this was minor since the blame is not all their as I share some of it for not being fully informed.

Thomas Chipchase was very communicative about clothing for the interview. Also, he explained clearly how to communicate within the interview such as possible questions I would to be asked within it.

Probably one of the worst agencies I’ve ever had to deal with. They send your cv to every company they can and don’t inform you. They don’t pick up any calls or reply to any emails. I don’t think there’s a single good thing I can say about Ranstad

I would give zero stars if I could. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. Written many emails, no replies!!!

*Do not let them sit on your personal details/read the reviews here: they are notorious for abusing candidates. Avoid at all costs.*
IF you’re foolish enough to answer a call from this lot (they scout for jobs from job boards) ~ get your details off their systems. They will zap time energy sanity over jobs they don’t have ownership over.
Harrowing reviews and tears on line are all for good reason and mirrored by experience if you are foolish enough to grant them a nanosecond.
The man I dealt with had an alleged managerial title. He and his colleagues deploy mendacity through their teeth - as a norm - covering for each others’ nefarious incompetence. Do not ever go near Randstad in the SE - education dept - they are off the scale of recruiter horror stories and support groups have formed: let’s face it - many of them are notorious but this lot …my gods ~ couldn’t make it up …
This lot have you researching who the regulatory body is - for the recruitment industry: they are heinous on a level extraordinary even in a broken country.

Even one star is a star too many!! Absolute joke of a company to contact once employment has ended!!! Impossible to get in touch with the recruitment officer or anyone via telephone calls as your only option is to leave a voice message or email which there is no guarantee of reply. My husband has been frantic trying to contact yous as he is in need of a job reference due to previously being employed by you. And your company is practically making this impossible!! Sooo not amused pretty grim to be honest!!

I will give you a review in 2 months time. Right at the moment, it feels silly to wear a badge that has no information about your position or colleague number whatsoever. It's a cheap piece of paper with hardly any info about you in a plastic envelope that you can just clip on or pin to your shirt or t-shirt. Any other detailed review I will add later on in couple of months as I only just done my second day. Also no info about parking. Paid £13 last two days.
Update on 2nd December: Here I am sitting at home jobless after 3 weeks at NHS. Don't go with Ranstad. Very unprofessional and unreliable. Worst agency to rely on.

Having ran my own agency I know how important customer service and communication is! Constantly replying to Hollie, jack ( you might have the wrong jack?) Charlotte ect with no retort whatsoever, it seems like I’m being made a fool off?? Not the case as I normally do the recruitment, I would never use this company even at a last resort!! It’s a shame because I doubt if their superiors have any inclination of the service they supply!! My advice, look elsewhere! I think I’m talking about Reading branch!?

Signed up with Randstad through my local job centre while on Universal Credit. First place they sent me with my 0 hours total of teaching assistant experience was a nearby secondary school. I had only just sent off my DBS cert application, but the Randstad employee I was in contact with assured me it would be fine.
Long story short; it of course was not fine, and I got sent home half way through the day. I was told I would be paid for half a day but that never happened.
Anyway, afterwards I was passed on to a different Randstad employee, who also seemed very confused as to why I was sent straight to a secondary school with no experience or DBS certificate.
She told me she would get me some voluntary experience as a first stepping stone, and then we look for opportunities with younger kids (I myself was/am only 19, so I felt a little awkward with secondary school kids).
Told her my availability, and she asked that I read up on some techniques and such while she finds said voluntary work for me.
Never heard from her again.
I gave up on it all, because I was already 4 months into my job search while on my "gap year" and decided I'd probably be better off putting all my attention on Uni applications in hopes of squeezing in somewhere.
Good news is I'm at Uni now! Studying something I enjoy. I just remembered how this all went down, and thought it might be helpful for young/unexperienced people to know about.
Recruitment agencies can only do so much.
So, while I can't put too much blame on them, since I wasn't really giving them much to work with, I do think things could have been handled a lot better.

Very dishonest and unorganized agency. I had the worst experience with them. Never again, still waiting on payments

The Randstad team communication was brilliant throughout my application process. I was always promptly updated and advised on what to expect from the interviews and how to best prepare. I’m really happy with the level of care and service provided, and would definitely recommend them to any jobseeker.

Becky responded very quickly and was very helpful when I misunderstood a small part of the application process.
The fact that I received a reply quickly was crucial to alleviating my worries.
