Wheel alignment failure

Booked wheel alignment. Refused due to rust. Drove out of garage to hear grinding and knocking noise. Pulled into garage opposite. Checked car and found wheel alignment devices still attached to passenger side wheels of car. Walked back to garage. No compensation offered for stress and inconvenience caused.

Utterly Hopeless !

Contacted Rates to discuss a new Ford Ranger Raptor. We will have negative equity in current car which is brand new, but told the salesman I was looking to put in a significant cash deposit, and I do mean significant ! Salesman took all my details, I was awaiting figures (to calculate just how much I needed to put in)….received a text for the original registration number (currently on a private plate) which I replied to…..but never heard from him again ! I mean are these people trying to sell cars, a hot lead, a willing buyer, a big cash deposit…..and nothing ! Utterly Hopeless ! Will not approach them again, ever !

I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding a recent experience I had with your dealership, which has left me feeling extremely frustrated and disheartened. I believe it is crucial to bring these issues to your attention, not only for my own sake but also to ensure that future customers do not encounter similar problems.

Recently, I brought my vehicle in for what I believed to be a straightforward repair related to a manufacturing defect in the gearbox and an issue with the air conditioning condenser. Unfortunately, what transpired during this process has been nothing short of a nightmare. After leaving the dealership, I discovered that my car was not only not fixed but had developed four additional problems that were not present when I initially brought it in.

I visited your service department on four separate occasions within just eight days, each time hoping for a resolution. Instead, I was met with a dismissive attitude that made me feel as though I was being perceived as paranoid or even foolish for raising my concerns. It is incredibly disheartening to feel that my worries were not taken seriously, particularly when I was assured that a thorough diagnosis had been conducted. To my dismay, I later learned that no such diagnosis had taken place, and I was forced to seek assistance elsewhere to identify the issues that had arisen.

The lack of accountability and the extremely poor quality of service I experienced are alarming. My vehicle is now in a state of complete powerlessness, which not only affects my daily life but also raises concerns about safety on the road. I cannot stress enough how disappointing it is to invest time, money, and energy into a service that has resulted in a far worse situation than when I first arrived.

I urge you to take this feedback seriously and to evaluate the practices within your service department. It is vital for the reputation of your dealership that customers feel valued and that their concerns are addressed with the utmost professionalism and care. I sincerely hope that no other customer has to endure the same ordeal that I have faced.

Not the same company anymore

Over priced and are not the same good company they used to be.After recent dealings with them my trust has totally gone there are better cheaper places to take your car to now. I used to be a long time customer of theirs never again.
Also it's a cramped parking area for there customers to pick up their cars afterwards how these cars are not damaged parked that close and that crammed in is a mystery
Rates have lost touch with customer satisfaction and are too focused on making as much money as they can on each customer.
If you have reason to complain it's pointless you won't get anywhere they all get their story right between themselves just use a better garage to take your car to.

Bought a car drove it home realised…

Bought a car drove it home realised after driving some miles that the steering wasn’t right and was told by RT RATES to bugger off what a load of————. Well I’ll let you guess the mystery word I’m now continuing the argueing wish me luck I was a mechanic in the army in the REME I’m am also a qualified transport manager and know the car isn’t right I’m not finished by a long way

Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole

Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Sold us a car with a damaged seat cover, which we only noticed the following day. Phoned them up & they couldn't have cared less. Despite several emails to the Used Car Sales Mgr (Sam) we have never had the courtesy of a reply let alone an apology!!!
Took over 3 months to get replaced.

Great communication and service

Great communication and service. Possibly the only decent Ford dealers left (even if the new cars are designed to fail at great expense) who still give good old fashioned service and care about their customers. Essex finest. Thank you.
