Very disappointing experience.
We ordered a child’s bed and ended up waiting over 3 months with no clear updates or communication. Each time we contacted them, we were told they still hadn’t received the item themselves, which shows a lack of proper stock control and planning.
In the end, we had no choice but to cancel the order. While the refund has now been initiated, the whole process was extremely frustrating and stressful — especially considering this was a purchase for a child.
I would not recommend this store if you expect reliable delivery times or clear communication.

What do you say about a company that will take your money straight away, give a delivery time frame, that came and went with email communication of your order being on its way waiting for the dispatch from Germany. Still no delivery, and no correspondence from Rathwood. Several emails later acknowledged with an apology the item I ordered was out of stock. Offically cancelled my order by email, followed by a phone call 2 weeks after which now appears to be my cancellation date on their system. Regardless of the specific date I am waiting over 5 weeks for a refund. Said would go to the store for my money back, but was told it would be a gift card or store credit...I think not.
I gave Rathwood the benefit of the doubt despite hearing peoples issues but I would not be recommending them at all going forward.

Still no responses to my multiple attempts of making contact regarding my refund. I am still without my money. I’m wondering why some reviews get a comment from Rathwood saying their refund is being escalated to happen urgently and other refunds are not deemed as important? It seems you only get a refund if you speak out on national airways about the company.

My specific review relates to Reine on Customer Service who dealt with my refund request today on S27398. She acted in a very professional manner albeit could not locate a Senior Manager to speak with me. I have called four times re refund. It is, in my opinion, unacceptable that a Senior Manager cannot take a call and assist junior staff with difficult queries. Reine assisted as much as she could to help with my frustration. I expect a return call from a Manager to process my refund. Failing this you can expect legal proceedings. I will be in further contact. Thank you Reine for taking my call earlier
Rathwood needs to close online furniture store
Avoid ! Ordered items worth over €1000 in February. Still no sign of order . I have sent emails , made numerous phone calls and I'm still awaiting response . I decided to cancel my order and asked for refund . Still no response .
Rathwood is great to visit beautiful gardens and garden centre but there online shop is not working and needs to close asap .

Ordered logs last June 25. Constant delays, Constant broken promises. No logs and no refund. Just lame excuses. Now 22nd April 26

I had an issue regarding a refund which has been ongoing for a while but today I spoke to a very helpful person called Sam who has sorted the issue out .

The amazing customer service! I would definitely buy from this company again. I made a mistake with my order and the lady I spoke to ( Ella ) was wonderful and fixed it for me perfectly. I’m not easy to understand with my accent either but she was friendly, super helpful and professional.. the fuel deal was really good too. Highly recommend 👍
Do not go near this company!!!
I am now on my 4th unsuccessful attempt to receive a product I’ve bought. I’ve had to change each item over a period of months as it never appears. The 4th item was only ordered after I sought 100% confirmation from one of the numerous Customer service team who change once it’s obvious they are making stuff up and can no longer be taken seriously- (I guess they have outsourced this to string people along) it was in stock and able to be delivered. Not a hope that they were being truthful.
They certainly do respond to my ever increasing number of emails… all with lies. Basically… they all say they’re sorry, not the customer service they strive for , on next shipment from Uk (lost count of the number of times they have said this). One said they’d seek managerial response… no chance that happened!
The bottom line is to stay well clear of this company. They take your money and do not deliver. They make empty promises. This company is a fraudulent set up to catch unsuspecting customers who deal with them in good faith… thinking they are a reputable retailer. They are not. Do not buy anything from this company.
In response to your customer service comments: there is only one thing I’m interested in and it’s not the same platitudes over and over again. They have proven meaningless in the past so why should anyone believe them now.
If you were serious just state if you actually intend sending the (4th) item I have bought? And When you are going to send it, as we are now some months from the start of this fiasco?
That’s all I want and that is noticeably missing from your response. Are you trying to dupe future customers into thinking you are a serious retailer by this response? When are you ever going to send the item I bought? I’d like a public answer to that.

A star of customer service
Honestly if it wasn’t for the attentive and solutions based help from Ella R would be giving this one star. My health is not good and I need assistance getting out of a standard chair. I was really looking forward to the freedom a recliner would give me. Months after the chair was to be delivered and many many calls and emails I was going to give up. I decided to call one last time.
Expecting the script led normal response I was so surprised to find a completely different response off Ella. She was attentive and I knew I had a person on the phone who was going to find a solution. For the first time I felt somone who took my problem and she made it hers. 30 minutes later and an even better chair is on its way. Ella R understood that this was the difference between me sitting for hours until my carer arrives to help me up. So every star in this review was earned by Ella R, someone who can get their head out of the script and can think outside the box. Thanks Ella this chair means a lot physically and mentally 👍👍👍
Place order and never received refund
Place order on 3rd March 2026 and they could not full fill order, so asked for refund. 22nd April 2026 still have not received refund. Have sent several emails and rang this company, still no customer satisfaction. Disaster of a company to deal with.

I placed an order with Rathwood on the 5th December - item never arrived. Requested refund on the 23rd February 2026 - still has not arrived. My last 5 emails to Rathwood have gone unanswered. Each time I phone I am told my refund will be escalated. Still no refund - when I wrote my last review Rathwood said they could not locate my order - My order number is S25457 , which I have quoted on all my emails.

I ordered product and paid the additional cost for delivery within 3 days. Never happened. Took weeks to arrive but they gladly took the money for fast delivery

I ordered a timber delivery in May 2025…
I ordered a timber delivery in May 2025 with a delivery date set in September 2025 under their wait and save offer. The delivery date then was continuously pushed forward eventually into 2026. This was unacceptable as I needed fuel for the winter. In December I requested a refund and to this day I have still not received it. I have been on to customer service numerous times and requested to speak to management. I was promised a call back which I never received. This company has now taken 4 months to process a simple refund which is still ongoing. I will never deal with this company again and suggest anyone considering to purchase anything to run a mile from Rathwood. They are not an ethical company.

Ordered logs ref SO242136 in August 2025 - cancelled late 2025 due to non delivery and dates pushed out and still no refund, come on Rathwood you have signed written agreement the CCPC to refund all the people you have so badly treated so PROCESS MY REFUND , dont send me anymore emails asking for my bank details , sent several times already , latest one is name on account . For anyone that doesn't know this shower of cowboys were hauled on front of the CCPC and are 2nd on the list of worst companies for customer service and most complaints to Ryanair
