This was my first experience buying furniture online. Loved what I selected. Unfortunately their suppliers could not deliver what I had ordered. Leah was tormented by me! Eventually got a better table than my original choice and at a wonderful price. Yes, I sat on the phone, and I waited. But that is the modern age. "Press 1,2,3,4,"etc. I was lucky enough to deal with a great customer service provider in Leah. I'm an "elder lemon" and she was very considerate and understanding. Considering all that was going on at the time, she deserves a special mention for her calm and helpful demeanor.

Ordered a bed for my 4 year old in November. Never arrived and they told me they would issue a refund then stopped responding to my emails. Impossible to get through on a call.

Placed an order on 28th of November…
Placed an order on 28th of November 2025. By January my item had not arrived so I made contact by phone. I was informed that my item was damaged in transit. I asked for replacement to be told no longer available. So I then asked for a refund. I was informed that I would get my refund in 10 days.
Over 3 months later, multiple phone calls and emails and still no refund.

Failure to return my refund
I am waiting months for my refund due to their failure to deliver my order of logs. I have received noting but emails promising the return of my money however this never ocours.
I do not want another false promise email, please reply with the exact date the money will be processed to my bank, this then take another ten days before the money is received.
No excuses when exactly are your accounts payable department processing payment ?
You have not answered the question I asked. What is the exact date I will receive my refund?
I am not interested in anymore apologies I just require action at this stage.

If it was possible to give no stars - that would be what id choose. Avoid at all costs. This company is fast to take your money and then does not deliver. Cancelled orders do not get refunded. It is a disgrace….i can’t emphasis enough DO NOT SPEND MONEY HERE!!!!

Placed an order for fuel in June for delivery in October. No delivery and no response from customer service. Eventually in February i was told it wasn't coming and I would be refunded. I still have not been refunded. Speaking to John in customer services the 14th of April he guaranteed an immediate refund. Which has not been done

Shocking experience
If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a dog crate on 4th December 2025. Delivery date was approx 20th January 2026. I was happy to wait for it. It was €255. By the end of January there was no sign of the crate. I rang about 5 times in January asking for an update on the status of my delivery. I was told there was delays but it was dispatched and on the way? At the start of March 2026- 3 months after I first made the online purchase, I rang Rathwood customer care again- I was then told the dog crate was in fact never in stock to begin with, and that I shouldn’t have been able to go through with my purchase. So rathwood took €255 from me when the stock wasn’t there at all. I asked for an immediate refund and I was told that they had processed it and refund would be on the way in 5-10 days. Here we are nearing May 2026 and I have not seen that refund come through. I have emailed and rang between March and April for an update. Numerous times I have been emailed back and told a refund has been issued. This is clearly a lie as I have still not received my €255 refund- for something that wasn’t even available to me to begin with! Absolutely do not buy from rathwood. Their customer service has been shocking and it has been a completely displeasure to deal with them.

Ordered an item in mid December 2025
We ordered an item in mid December 2025. Gave it till mid January before trying to chase it up.. after numerous calls and emails we cancelled order and looked for refund, again a lot of calls and emails with no refund. Went to our bank and they refunded us and they said they'd chase rathwood.. shocking company I would advise everyone to stay clear

Review on waiting for a Recliner chair
I waited for 35 minutes to actually get through to Reine. I also had to remind her to email me my invoice.
Reine was very pleasant and did everything I asked. I realise they are under pressure. But I’m still waiting for the delivery of my chair. I ordered and paid in February so I’ve been anxious to get my chair.

This company can improve by bringing back confidence. I made a big plan for spring including a host of new garden furniture and accessories. I can't place an order having read the reviews, it goes against my better judgement and experience. I will have to start from beginning again.

Ordered firewood from Rathwood in September 2025 ,and after countless phone calls ,countless emails ,over a period of 7 MONTHS ,not days ,not week ,s ,I raised a dispute with my bank and after a 4 week process the bank paid refunded me ,don't delay raise a complaint with ur ,bank or credit card company ASAP ,otherwise u will lose it ,Do It TODAY

Too good to be true - stay away
The initial shopping experience online was ok, found a good product at a good price, almost too good to be true.
We were using the rathwood.ie domain, with assured 3 day dispatch which we paid 40 euro extra for.
A week passes, no updates regarding the order.
Rang customer service, we were told that the bed frame we ordered is in a UK warehouse and may take 21 WORKING days to be delivered and that we will be immediately issued a refund for the 72hour dispatch.
Fast forward to 23 WORKING days later,
No updates, no refund,
We ring again
On hold for what seems to be ages.
“Sorry we still dont know anything about your order, we raised another query with the warehouse”
After ordering on March 14th, today being April 16th.
I couldve walked from Ireland to the UK in that time.
Regardless, we were told. “We still cant estimate a delivery time, but we should hear back from the warehouse within 7-10 WORKING days”
Had to cancel the order there and then.
Shady business practices and zero ability to resolve issues through customer support email or phone channels.
Very poor experience.

1 month later and the "available in stock" item I ordered still hasn't shipped
Updated to 1 star because they still haven't dispatched my order, and they don't know when it will be dispatched.
1st April: I ordered an item which was marked as "available in stock"
16th April: I rang up, and they tell me it will be sent next week, or in two weeks at the latest.
30th April: I rang up again, they will not provide any timeline of when it will be dispatched, nor when a refund would be given should I decide to cancel the order.
The item is still falsely advertised as "available in stock" on their website right now.
