I have been a RCI member for over 30…

I have been a RCI member for over 30 years. Originally we had weeks and could exchange without any problems. However over the past 10 years things are not as it should be. We have points now and have tried to to book various places in Spain, North America & Caribbean only to find limited weeks available. However, as most of these resorts are classed as Hotels too, I checked through Booking .Com and found available accommodation for the dates we required. Why is this so?
Having a Timeshare in the beginning was lucrative and giving you bargaining power to book anywhere at anytime at a drop of a hat. What is the point in having a timeshare if you have to book 2 years in advance.

We were supposed to stay at Oasis by…

We were supposed to stay at Oasis by Breeze (#DX87)
but at the last minute were were moved to Mangaby. No comparison, much lower quality resort for same amount of money. Then they wanted me to do an upgrade meeting at the resort that we were supposed to stay at! Several other couples were moved here with us from there also. If this place would have been a listing up front we would have never picked it. Didn't have much choice this year as our air fare was already paid for so we could change. Bate and switch, RCI shouldn't allow this to happen. It will ruin there company. It's to bad because we have used this company several times with great success. They need to clean this up.

Simply scammers and thieves .

I have a points membership made in the uk some by expectations holidays , lots of promises first and since 6 years I am trying to use my points to book in a decent resort or holiday always either full or zero availability, specially at Radisson resort golden sands Malta , waiting 6 years to book at this resort and never happen , I have almost half a million points outstanding now and can’t use them but I won’t pay my renewal membership and they can take me to the court I don’t give a penny .

I am lockd out of my account even though I know I out in the correct code.... I waited and hour yesterday and no Ive been waiting 45mins....I will be removing my money the minute I gain access, nobody answers the one telephone number they give you and nobody answers emails. disgusting service

Locked out of account

I have been trying to get through for days now on the phone but nobody ever answers as I'm locked out of my account. I have emailed twice and had no response still. I've set up a joint savings account and luckily my wife has access to the account still and she was able to also send a secure message on my behalf but had no response from that either which was about two weeks ago now. I just need my account unlocked please?

Money Hungry and Dishonest Company

Tried to undeposit my week and was given a ridiculous story that deposits are final and it’s essentially too costly to undo them. I don’t recall seeing a warning when depositing that deposits are final. Asked to speak to a supervisor and have now been on hold over an hour. I know how this game is played, I’m just on infinite hold. They are simply waiting for me to give up. We’ll, I didn’t give up but when the clock struck 9:00 PM EST they simply cut me off. Such a money hungry and dishonest bunch. The reality is they can’t make any money on exchange fees if I decide to use my home resort. My membership expires in February. I’m done with RCI.

Vacation Limitless (vacationlimitless.com) is a SCAM

I opened a credit card with Barclays RCI “Elite Rewards” while on vacation in Mexico in February 2021. Long story short, they charged $7900 to my newly opened RCI credit card with promises of discounted vacation deals, cruises and even a free week of vacation. None of which I ever got to use. They have a website, vacationlimitless.com where I recently paid (September 2022) $199 to have access to the website and the “promotions” until December 2023. The “promotions” are what I paid $9450 (more about this amount below ***) for in February 2021. Today my account is inactive. Any emails I send are bounced back and the emails are invalid.

I don’t understand how Barclays and RCI has teamed up with this fraudulent company where you can open a new credit card and be charged thousands of dollars for fake packages. They also go by “Vida Vacations”, “Limitless Vacations”.

*** $7900 was not even the total amount for the package offered. I paid $1550 on my Apple Card. In total, I actually paid $9649 with the recently renewed membership to have access until December 2023. Today: I don’t have access to anything I paid for. Almost $10,000 gone, just like that.

Heritage Resorts Marbesa Club Resort ID: 0304.

It is with the deepest regret that I find myself having to write to you about my weeks holiday in the Heritage Resorts Marbesa Club Resort ID: 0304.
We stayed from the 15th of October until the 22nd of October 2022. The resort looked nothing like the resort shown in your brochure. It was in fact really tired and run down and more than a third of a mile from the beach down a fairly steep hill. As you can see from the pictures below it was well below an expected standard. We did fill out a return from holiday questionnaire but we have still to receive a reply. All in all the resort was a complete let down and we would certainly not have booked it.

RCI IS A RIPOFF

RCI is supposed to be a vacation trading company that works with the members but there never is much availability in sought after locations. They will sell you availability in these locations but for a higher price than what you can get on your own. RCI Exchange Vacations has 5 UNITS available in the Florida Keys but has 2,610 units in the Keys available on their Extra Vacation section for cash and over 48 thousand units available on their EXCHANGE PLUS ONLY FOR CASH, can't use your timeshare points. OVER 48k units but only 5 units for vacation exchange, rip-off. RCI is a total RIPOFF, and I would never recommend joining. ONE OF MY BIGGEST MISTAKES WAS BUYING A TIMESHARE AND JOINING RCI. I WISH I NEVER GOT INVOLVED, LIES, AND LIES AND MORE LIES. RCI CATERS TO THE COMPANIES THAT OWN THE TIMESHARES COMPANIES NOT THE MEMBERS.

Have been an RCI member since 2004 and…

Have been an RCI member since 2004 and have only used it twice. Subsequently have tried to give it away as am now unable to pay the now the over $1000 and am now unable to travel. It is causing me a great deal of distress. The company is greedy and is not interested at all in helping you get rid of it even if you you do not want anything for it. I have and will continue to advise people against joining RCI.

I have also been conned 3 times when trying to sell and am now having to look for legal services to help me leave. Do not join.

RCI Cruise Certificate Fraud…

I would like to reiterate the "RCI Cruise Certificate Fraud" review of September 21 2022. I am having the same experience trying to use my RCI Travel Package. I used the cruise certificate to book a river cruise, it was cancelled because of covid. I received NO communication until I tried to reinstate the certificate. I was told the entire package had expired. To make the situation more detestable the agents were rude and would transfer the call to a different location and another rude and unhelpful agent. I have more than 10 numbers I have been transferred to. I was not allowed to speak to supervisors. The travel component should be avoided, under no circumstances should they be used. They are not trustworthy nor do they stand by their product.

RCI is one of the worse companies i have ever dealt with !!! They are in a word (Sham!)

They do not care at all about there Members - are in there view (Another Sucker through the door!!!)

How they are in business is nothing more than (Amazing!) all they want is too sham you out of your five star all inclusive stays & give you (Nothing in return) dates wont line up - certainly quality or anything close too what you are trading wont compare too the garbage they will quote trade you for - I put my five star all inclusive traded weeks into there (Joke) power trading account - And they then (Fee you too death in any attempt too use the power trading account - try too expire your points anything too screw you !

This is such a sham of a company - So traders (Beaware) !!!!

Once you get in you can't get out.

We own a time share apartment via Skistar in Sweden. Some how we got a one year free membership in RCI when we bought it. After a couple of years not using any of RCI services we decided to leave. This was harder than we first realised. We had to send in a signed paper document (not very modern) and so we did in november 2020. This was aparantly to late acording to RCI so now (october 2022) we had to pay for the full year 2023.

Looking forward to 2023 when I'm finally not a member of RCI anymore.

RCI the worst timeshare exchange company

We bought a timeshare Barnsdale hall in the UK my partner had been a member of RCI since 1998 and so tried to register it to his membership last year but it turned out they created a second membership without telling him he only found out when they kept ring him everyday sometimes twice a day to renew his membership he didn't even know that existed trying to sort this out has been very tring and tiring to say the least the won't admit that he was misled he's had enough of RCI and now is closing his membership and parting company after over 20years. He would not recommend RCI if you are looking for a timeshare exchange company try worldwide timeshare exchange they are cheaper and more customer friendly.
RCI have become a company now are interested in taking as money from you and give no customer service

I wrote a review on here, on 12 July 2022, to which RCI responded on here, inviting me to contact them directly. I did so, but they have completely ignored my email to them, and after almost three months it looks like they have no intention of responding. It therefore appears that their response on this page is purely for the purpose of making it appear that they wish to be helpful, when in fact they don't. Be VERY careful if you believe them to be trustworthy. I would publicly invite RCI to have dialogue with me about my experience, which they and I can then display publicly. If they are genuine about their concern, I would hope they take up this offer ...

Been a owner with RCI at least 17 years and have had issues in the past but none like this. Recently book a trip with the wife to Jamaica. Was quoted a all inclusive fee of over $2400, and a discount if you prepaid, which I did. Unfortunately they neglected to tell me that was per person and I only found out after confirmation, the resort wont do anything because RCI made the reservation and the supervisor at RCI told me my only option was to cancel my trip. Instead of arguing I asked her to pull the call which she refused to do, even told me if she did pull the call it wouldnt change the fact that the resort is who takes payment, nevermind being quoted 1 price and then being charged another, just go ahead and cancel your anniversary trip.
