The job was a simple washer/dryer repair (something stuck in the pump) and that was completed very quickly with no issues. The guy was lovely and arrived on time. Where I did run into some problems... See more

If I could give no stars I would
After spending 79.98 to have the back glass replaced on an iPhone 5 I was expecting two things, a fast service & to have the glass replaced.
After over 6 weeks, 3 telephone calls & numerous emails the phone has arrived back today... The glass is STILL smashed.
AVOID THIS COMPANY BY ALL MEANS!
Three weeks to complete shoddy repair
Despite their 'standard' 24 hour schedule, Repairs4 had my phone for almost three weeks. This was after speaking to them after week one and two and being told my phone was 'almost ready to go' and was due to be sent out either that afternoon or the following day.
Once I received it back, the replacement glass is poorly fitted, not being flush with the case and appears already to be lifting off from one side where it has not been securely attached. Additionally, the menu/back buttons are not as responsive as before and are possibly out of alignment.
I would send it back, but at this point I'd rather not go without my phone for another three weeks and will settle with sharing my unacceptable experience with others in the hope that it'll help others avoid going through the same thing.
Also worth noting that the general tone of feedback here may be overly positive, on their feedback request email you're only linked through to Trustpilot if you click the satisfied button; the unsatisfied buttons takes you to their own feedback form.
Slow service but staisfied with the result
I had my iphone 3gs repaired - it was in a sorry state. £65 later it has a new power button, new mute switch and new back. Except for a little dust behind the screen it is as good as new. It took 4 weeks to repair due to repairs4 waiting for parts but the phone staff were very helpful and polite and offered to give me a 10% discount due to the wait so overall I am happy with the outcome and would recommend phones4 as long as you do not need your device back immediately.
Good but a bit long winded.
The work has been done to a good standard and the handling of the item in transit was very good and well protected. The only problem I have is the time it took for the repair to be completed but overall, this was just a small annoyance in a good service.
The WORST COMPANY I've ever come across- DO NOT USE!!!
Firstly I would like to stress how extremely disappointed I am with the service that they have provided, I have never come across a company as unprofessional and dissatisfying as repairs4.com I will
Never use the service again, and advise anyone not to either!
I ordered my I phone 4 – screen repair on Friday 12th July and sent the device out the following Monday – paying £39.99 +£14.99 for the express service.
As confirmation states a staff member signed for my phone 08.40am on Tuesday (16th) morning.
Yet the system was not updated to read ‘ device received’ until Thursday afternoon.
On Friday I called , waiting 20+ mins to speak to someone. I explained I have ordered and paid for the device to be returned to me within 24 hours – so could not believe that it was Friday and still had not received any information as to the whereabouts of my phone. The gentleman apologised and credited me the £14.99 for the express service – which was great – BUT still didn’t help the fact my business phone had been away for 5 days now.
The gentleman explain the phone was to be sent out that day and I should have been receiving it on Saturday ( the next day) – I explained to him I would be at another address for the weekend and would appreciated the being sent – he took the address and confirmed it would be sent out to me for tomorrow.
Saturday comes, and no phone! I track it to see where it is – and it was sent to my default address, despite making it very clear I needed it to another. Now I wouldn’t be able to get it until Tuesday morning!
Tuesday morning – I get home to open my phone and turn it on – the glass is repaired on the front screen BUT I cannot see the screen behind it. There is a display of flickering lines making it impossible to use the phone at all.. HOW on earth could the phone have been sent out like this – does it not get checked / tested before it’s sent out?
Phone call made on Tuesday – apologies nut NO explanation. Told to send the phone in again and it would be repaired and sent out the same day– total days without phone = 8
Weds morning the phone was received and signed for.
Thurs / Fri – NOTHING
As I work until 6pm it is not easy for me to spend 30 minutes calling – I tried on my lunch break – ( over 30 mins) and still could not get past caller number 2 in the queue!
Monday morning – I call , it takes 28 minutes this time for a lady to take my call.. she apologises and says she will track it . I am holding for another 8 minutes!
Again no explanation as to why my phone was sent back to me broken, or why it has not been sent out . No offer for refund / compensation despite the ridiculous situation either.
I was told it had been shipped and I was to expect it today / tomorrow..
I was then sent a ‘DPD’ txt to confirm the delivery would be today (Tues 30th) –
No delivery to me today>?... and now at 5 past 5 ( how convenient that the phone lines are closed) that I get a txt from DPD to say my item will now be delivered on Saturday 3rd August?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!
This is getting absolutely ridiculous –
ALL of my emails have been ignored!!!
What a terrible service they offer and in every aspect of letting their customer down – they did!
WORST COMPANY EVER - use at your own risk
They had our phones for almost 5 weeks before returning finally. You are treated like a mushroom!!!
Every time we email them when they can be bothered to reply they just say they will look into it or escalate it to a manager then get back to us (which of course never happens).
The phones show on the website as awaiting collection but were like that for 4 weeks!!! We paid for DPD to return our phones so what was the delay!!! Please just be honest with customers.
One of our phones had a crack on the screen and we were told after I phoned them (after 1 week) that the phone had been repaired but the digitizer wasn't working on the top right so the new screen would be re-seated. Four weeks later they then told me that the screen was still cracked so had they even attempted repair or were they fobbing me off?!
Definitely one of the worst companies we've ever dealt with.
Don't expect email updates of when your phone arrives or anything else for that matter as it doesn't happen (and yes we work in IT so have checked our spam/junk folders).
The only thing going for this company at the moment is that when you phone them they are very polite!!!
Maybe they are just taking on too much work/understaffed etc but PLEASE just be honest and say your phone will take 4 weeks, don't keep saying it will be returned the next day (heard this every week for the last 4 weeks).
*2 trust or not 2 trust*.
Oh yes! everything it said on the tin and loads more. This company Repair4 bent over backwards to help me with my problem, I was worried about getting ripped off, as you probably are, fear not and put your trust and your problem in the hands of this lot at Repair4, 2 trust or not 2 trust, Oh yes 100%.. Thanks for reading this and I hope it helps you decide. Ron :-)
Great fixed my headphone socket quickly
Sent my iphone off as had a problem with the headphone socket thay fixed it and I had it back in next to no time well done if I have anymore problems I will use this company again thanks again sy..............
Fantastic price, would recommend
The price quoted was extremely reasonable and they customer service team were polite and courteous. The repair took a little longer than expected but I was kept fully informed throughout. Would recommend.
24 Hours Service? More Like 3 Weeks
Absolutely ridiculous. I approached this service with promises from their website that their service is quick, reliable and would be completed within 24 hours. The staffs were polite through emails (which I had bombarded them with on a day-to-day basis), but I found what they said to be twisting one another and whatever they said (i.e. you shall get your phone back by the end of this week) was just met with oh, sorry, we meant end of next week. I had my iPhone screen fixed within ten minutes at a repair store after making an appointment, it really should not be that difficult. It is their priority as a service to ensure that they get their parts from whatever supplier they source it from ready for their customers—it is not a matter for the customers to wait longer due to their inconsistencies and mistakes. The sort of service they were offering to their customers is absolutely unacceptable as it not only showed that their service is slow and unreliable, it also showed that their staffs are extremely disorganised. Needless to say, after waiting for nearly two weeks and being told (only when I made an enquiry, they did not have the courtesy to inform me themselves) that I will only be getting it back in a week's time, I could not comprehend it any longer and asked for a refund and for them to mail me back my (still-broken) iPhone. Extremely disappointed, do not use them.
Brilliant service, would not hesitate in recommending.
Repairs4Limited were absolutely brilliant. The service was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. They got my son's iphone back as promised before his return to university, it's like a new phone. Thank You
1st Class Service
I wanted only parts sending as my son had broken his screen on his samsung galaxy s3. Spoke to customer service and the lady was brilliant, , Sent it Saturday morning delivery , She gave me pointers on how to fit it . Would def use again . 1st class service
well worth the money
My phone was dropped and the back smashed. Repairs4 Ltd replaced the back with a new one and I received it within 5 days. Looks like new. Would definitely recommend this site and very reasonable price too.
Spot on service
I had sent my Galaxy S3 for a screen repair, a cracked glass .
I was kept fully informed by text and email, of the progress of my repair and return by courier I was given a time and date for the return of my phone.
My phone is now back like new.
I would recomend the company to all my friends and family.
totally professional company.
thank you.
Good service - although not as quick as I hoped.
Chose these guys because the pricing was keen and they seemed to offer a same day return. In reality it took 7 days from sending the phone off til getting it back. Repair was good although screen seems not stuck to the led sensor screen fully so there is sometimes less sensitivity than with its original screen. I'm assuming this is standard for a replacement screen though. I emailed them a couple of times to check on progress as it was taking longer than I expected and got prompt satisfactory responses. Overall I would recommend this service.
Good service
Good, swift service, they keep you informed through the process, from receiving the repair to the hour of redelivery.
Thanks
Quick, efficient service.
Local company, easy to drop phone into and kept informed of the progress of the repair. Always quick, which is important when it comes to work phones.
Not 24 hour but did what I asked!
Repair was good and phone sent back in one piece - it took one week but always informed me of progress and I was in no rush - pretty good and I would use them again.
Beware! They will try and remove a negative review!
UPDATE 09AUG2013: Beware! This company WILL try and get your review removed if it is negative! I have recently been requested to provide proof of my order to ensure that it is legitimate 5 MONTHS after my order by providing an invoice or order confirmation. I don't have either of these but hopefully printing the order page from their website will be sufficient as proof, otherwise I have a long e-mail chain with them from my initial complaint which I will provide as additional proof. So if you write a negative review, be sure to keep your order confirmation as Repairs4.com will use under-handed tactics to try and get your review removed to ensure their average rating stays high. Look at other reviews around the date of my original review (08APR2013), a lot of them have been reported for being false. These are most likely the negatives as the 5 star reviews are still there for all to see. My rating has now reduced from 2 stars to 1 because of this.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I also encountered issues with the length of time this took to get repaired. In total, the service took 24 days from sending the phone out (which they received next day) to when I received it back. Customer service was good at first but then gradually deteriorated, not updating me at promised intervals. The fault diagnosis took 10 days alone, which for a service advertised as 24 hour repairs is simply unacceptable. Amongst other repairs, I paid £30 for a housing and bezel rebuild which was done to a poor standard leaving a visible gap between the housing and bezel and causing the mute button to constantly slip into the mute position. Very poor throughout.
UPDATE 16APR2013: After contacting the company, they offered a new back housing at no extra cost (except for sending the phone back out to them). Customer service was excellent this time, very prompt to respond to my e-mails and had the job done within a week. It would have been quicker but they had a parts issue which delayed it. However since the phone has returned for a second time the vibrator is now intermittent where it will frequently stop working after 1 or 2 vibrates as if the motor is vibrating itself out of position. If I shake the phone, it will start working again for a short while. Whilst not a major issue to me, I question their quality control checks as it doesn't seem to be comprehensive. For that reason, I can only increase my rating from 1 star to 2.
