Extremely Disappointing Experience

I placed an order with Residence Supply on November 28, 2025, and heard nothing for months. Only after I followed up was I told that my order had been placed on hold due to a pricing error on their website and no one bothered to inform me.
Apparently, items were listed incorrectly, and instead of honoring the price that was advertised and charged, they simply froze the order without communication. That is completely unprofessional. If a company makes a mistake on their website, that is their responsibility. Most businesses stand behind their pricing errors and honor them because reputable companies pay for their mistakes.
The lack of transparency, communication, and accountability is unacceptable. Buyers should be aware that even after placing and paying for an order, it may not be fulfilled if the company later decides they mispriced something.
Proceed with caution.

The custom packaging was done very poorly. The Styrofoam broke on the corners and the custom inserts and the box was fairly beaten up by the time it arrived.

Unbelievably terrible

I cannot impress upon you enough how terrible they are. Months of delay. Tiles all the wrong size and each needed to be cut individually. Also mismatched colors and chips. I have ordered twice hoping the first time was a fluke but each time was just as bad. also when they ask for a review, they ask if it's positive or negative. If you click negative it goes to a different site to leave the review.

The product and customer service are…

The product and customer service are excellent. The only reason I took a star off is you have to wait quite a while to receive your product. From order to delivery can take well over a month. However, customer service is very responsive and keeps you updated, and the product is terrific. We have several switches in our house.

The company will only refund a portion…

The company will only refund a portion of your money. You can not actually return a product for a full refund. I bought a lamp and the product was of bad quality and arrived without the proper wiring to install. Be very careful.

This fee covers inspection, processing, repackaging, and restocking, and the final amount depends on the condition of the item once it is received back at our warehouse.

If an item arrives with missing parts or incomplete components needed for installation, we do not require a return for that reason alone. In those cases, we are more than happy to send the missing parts so the product can be installed and used as intended.

Fantastic Customer Service. Beautiful light fixture.

Fantastic Customer Service. I had multiple conversations with the RS team regarding the suitability of our preferred lights and regarding realistic delivery. They were spot on about everything. We purchased 2 of the Eretoq Travertine lamps, which are shown as wall mounts but we wanted them for ceiling use in a cedar paneled room. They are now installed on the ceiling in our new build and look fab.

SCAM

They delivered one of them items more than two months after the purchase, when I inquired about the other two items, they said there was a pricing error on their end and they need me to pay $35 extra for each item for them to ship. Absolutely ridiculous and illegal what they're doing. You can't sell something for a price and then change your mind and charge extra. That is literally against the law. I would stay clear.

Residence Supply Brass Dimmer Switch (Triac / Leading Edge) IS NOT the reccomended dimmer to use with LED fixtures

The Residence Supply brass dimmer switch is a Triac (leading-edge) dimmer, which is older technology primarily designed for incandescent bulbs. These dimmers typically do not provide a full dimming range for most LED fixtures.

In my case, the dimming range was limited to approximately 85–100% brightness. By comparison, my previous dimmer on the same light fixtures provided a much broader and more usable range of about 20–100%, which many consumers expect from modern LED-compatible (ELV / trailing-edge) dimmers.

The product specification description uses the term “Triac / Leading Edge” but does not clearly explain that this type of dimmer often has limited compatibility and reduced performance with LEDs. Many customers reasonably assume that a dimmer currently being sold will function well with contemporary LED lighting, which is not necessarily true with this product.

After discovering the performance issue, I contacted the company to request a return. Unfortunately:
• The return policy is only 14 days
• If you purchase matching wall plates or outlets to coordinate with the dimmer, you will be stuck with them if you later discover the dimmer’s limited performance
• When I asked to escalate my concern, I was left on hold for two hours before the call was disconnected
• My follow-up email and phone call were not returned
• A refund was not offered

Because of this experience, I would encourage buyers to:
✔ Verify that their fixtures specifically support Triac dimming
✔ Research the difference between Triac (leading-edge) and ELV (trailing-edge) dimmers before purchasing
✔ Have an electrician available to test within the short return window
✔ Be aware that LED dimming range may be limited with this product

Due to both the product limitations and the lack of customer service follow-up, I will not be specifying these products for my home or for client projects in the future.
