Outstanding product. Seriously. I feel like a kid again, having taken my bamboo Loaded and installed a Revel kit along with Cloudwheels- absolute madness fun. Do yourself a favor and try it- you won't regret it.

This motor is very impressive. It easily shoots my 190 lb butt up a steep incline. Way steeper than any electric bike I’ve ridden will take me. I quickly and easily hit 22 mph on flat ground with one motor. I also out paced my neighbor’s golf kart. Easily. The motor seems to last a while especially if you give it a little push start and you’re mostly cruising flat.

I had an initial problem connecting my remote and I had an issue with the remote battery running out of juice too quickly. I contacted customer service and they resolved my issues VERY fast. I’m more impressed with their customer service than the motor and that says a lot because this motor is waaaaaay more powerful than I thought it would be. I’ll probably buy a second motor down the road. Awesome purchase.

Revel kits are awesome, and the support they offer for the product is legit. When you buy a high end product, high end support for that product increases the value. This is my experience with Revel. Specifically, I had a problem with my battery charging. I sent it to them, they identified the problem, fixed it and sent it back to me. All in a short amount of time. I have recommended and will continue to recommend Revel kits to anyone looking for an electric skateboard.

This is my second Revel Kit and well worth it! I ride here in AZ now that the weather has cooled down it's on. I can switch the kit to accommodate whatever size board I'm into, what a great option! Thanks Revel!!

Great product, great build quality (I've owned 4 other Electric skateboards). Very well designed and thought out. Most basic repairs possible to do yourself.
Responsive customer service too, a deserved 5 stars

I'm a student in university and I've been using my revel board for months for everything from getting to class to skating down (and up!) the sides of mountains. The board is incredible! It is powerful and intuitive to control. All of my classmates with e-bikes and scooters and other e-skates who can't climb hills the way my revel board can. I recommend this kit to every rider I see on campus.

When my kit started to have a technical issue, I contacted revel support. They helped me to diagnose specifically which piece was broken and then sent me a replacement FOR FREE with step-by-step instructions on how to install it. I was back on the board in no time.

For the price of this board (especially compared to the competition), this is easily some of the best money I've ever spent. Not to mention the best customer service I've ever experienced.

I got some damage to the plastic enclosure on one of my kits and Revel sent it out to me quickly and at no cost (within 6 months warranty). I was back riding on that kit in less than a WEEK. Also it’s nice that some repairs are user-accessible on the Revel kits. Thanks Revel once again!

Hello everyone I bought my revel kit a couple weeks ago. It is doing well the speed is plenty fast and the acceleration is good. The only negative points I have are that you can’t chance the wheel diameter on your remote to more than 110 and I wanted to put way bigger wheels on it (AT) but canceled it because if heard that the acceleration whould be bad. I now ordered the 120 cloudwheels just 10mm bigger than the maximum I hope it works well I’ll let you guys know when I got them. I also ordered the waterborne surf adapter hope it will make the board better to turn ik also let you guys know on that one. I greatly recommend you to buy the kit it’s fun to swap your decks and one day I can have a longboard and the other I can have a shortboard. I find the board quite portable the battery is light and I got 2 extended range battery’s so the range is great the maximum range I got was 25 km but one battery was still 10% and the second was between 30 and 40. So I whould probably reach 40 km on two extended range battery’s. Btw I’m 60 kilo’s and i ride mostly between 20 and 30km I road on some mostly smooth roads with a couple hills and I used the 105 cloudwheels. I also recommend buying a extended range 20 kilometers is quite good I won’t recommend less because it’s worth some more money those additional kilometers. Hope revel makes some improvements on there remote with the wheel sizes and I hope they will make it easier to use like at wheels because the acceleration whould probably be goed enough for at.

I already gave a review a couple days ago but just today the kit was completely malfunction and went full speed down the street. thankfully no one was on it and it didn't hit anything. I use this kit to deliver packages for amazon and so many people though it was revolutionary and I think it is but this kit has been giving multiple problems that I describe in my last review about the same kit. I was planning on trying to get a business deal with amazon dispatches to try to impliment Electronic longboards and hire more people with experience. This kit was perfect until it started falling apart. I would like to see if would be able to use the warranty to possibly repair or replace the kit. I have a spare standard range battery on the way I order yesterday but the kit broke down today so I won't be able ti enjoy it.

Good but... the revel kit was easy to install and nice to use but i wanted to use a certain wheel on the board and come to find out it didn't fit so now i gotta spend more money for other wheels.

Battery was dead after 200 miles. I reached out and they send me a replacement with two batteries one lasted 100 miles before dying and the other one only charges up to 60%.
After I reached out the second time - no replacement, of course no refund infant no answer at all. The motor worked fine but the product is useless if the power supply is just not reliable.
I support the other reviewer who suspect that there is a serious issue of quality control in the production of the batteries.
However, the price you pay for the product you should be refundable if the product fails. Wouldn’t buy it again and can’t recommend it either, unfortunately.

Addendum:
Whenever a company is trying hard to keep their slate clean and eventually blame the customer for product failure, alarm bells should be ringing. Btw, the mail they‘ve send me after the review did not read as nice as what they wrote here. It wasn’t signed either so that no one could be held accountable.

Useless warranty and battery faults.
I communicated an issue with the USB charging port on my battery two days after I received the Revel Kit and they offered no replacement. Then, during warranty the whole battery stopped working and they still wouldn't replace it.

I thought the 6 month warranty would cover a replacement of this faulty product.

They suggested I have the battery fixed locally so I had a skilled technician look at it and they told me the batteries are lacking quality control where they were produced. There were many weak solder connections and loose wiring...
The technician fixed the battery but it stopped working again soon after.

Waste of money and not what you expect when you pay this amount. I'm not happy with Revel and will buy local next time.

This kit is amazing ordered the extended battery and cloud wheels. Super fast 25 mph and I’m 205lbs. Accelerates uphill. Great range. Considering a second kit. Thanks!!

Goes really well with BoardUp. The ability to customize your ride in every aspect is absolutely great. If you have the imagination, your options are limitless.
All in all, the best diy kit one can buy.

I waited a long time to order since they did not deliver to where I was living but as soon as I got my hands on my
Kits I was loving it from the first ride. Great quality. It feels like a premium product.

So this is me review after one week of using the kit in London, and I think the best word would be to describe the kit would be “potential”. To explain what I mean by this is that the kit has loads of room to become one of the best on the market however it just hasn’t happened yet and unfortunately it has some let downs / problems.

One of these may not affect you buy it does for me, this would be the design aspect of kit, for me the remote is to small and becomes uncomfortable after a while and the screen cover can become scratched quickly. Also the power button on the kit it self is also a bit small and has rough edges on it causing it to scrap against my thumb (boosted board did this right with a big button on it). Further the battery when taken out about 10 times starts to develop a big scratch mark down the middle of it and a dent in the middle and if your not careful you can put the battery incorrectly into the kit with one side higher than the other (a better system for the removing battery would be like mellow uses a “clip in” style it would allow for 4wd on smaller boards) also for also the battery doesn’t have the best range compared to others ( I think there working on a better version) Also the kits IP rating is not the best compared to others such as the mellow kit or unlimited x loaded. These I know are not easy fixes but should be considered for any future model / update.

However the kit has lots of good things such as the direct drive system is the best I have seen, very smooth and quiet. Also the customer service at revel is brilliant (very helpful people and reply quickly) it also comes with a front truck included unlike mellow kit and has the ability to use different wheels due to the direct drive system unlike hub motors

To end I would thing Of revel kit as a WIP, the kit still has a long way to go still and as long as they don’t abandon it, it will become one of the best eskate kits you can get anywhere. I will still support and use revel as i can see that they have faith in there product however it just needs improvements in areas of the whole kit.

I mean no disrespect to anyone at revel and I’m basically suggesting improvements that I feel would make the kit better

PROS - the interchangeable wheels are nice to have, the ability to move the kit from one board to another, the reliability is very good after a couple of months of use the kit is FAST 28mph and about 35 mph with 2 in 4WD mode

Cons - it could of had a better IP rating,
It should come with a cover for when the battery is removed, as on the kit the contacts are exposed and could be easily damaged if mishandled such as at an airport, a Mobile app would be nice but not essential.

The Revel Kit is really nice because it allows you to easily change your setup from one deck to the next depending on what you are skating and you can easily do the same with he wheels and the bushings.

Add on some Shredlights and you can skate day and night. I believe top speed is lower than they claim but it’s still very fast.

The extended battery has a great range and I easy can hit 10 mile cruises without issue. I would like to see a cover for the remote because it’s easily scratched if you take a spill but otherwise it’s a great kit.

The downside is their communication and the fact that they continue to push the 3 weeks to delivery pitch even though it’s really gonna take more like 7-8 weeks. Sure there’s a pandemic but claiming 3 weeks is just not honest. Otherwise a fine company and a fine product.

This is the best item I have ever bought in my life. The mileage is just about dead on give or take a mile or two depending on how aggressive you ride it. Very good brakes, extremely good acceleration. Also this is the best company I have ever bought anything from. They were never out of contact with me, and any question that I had they were right there to answer it. My only mistake was not buying the 4wd extended battery kit. Just because of my weight. But overall this is the best ran company I have ever bought anything from. I will definitely be considering getting the other half of the kit to make mine 4wd. I really want it. Thank you!
