Reykjiavik Rental Car has been a rapid, reliable and recommended company. Mails requiring information was quickly and clearly answered, and this first impression gave us the security to choose this car hire service. We rented in April 2025 and it was very convenient to collect the car at the airport, late at night, and drop off in Reykjavik city. Automatic car was offered as booked, so all the rental process was really smooth much appreciated when travelling.

Booked through website, all pretty easy. Our queries through chat via website were answered very quickly.
On arrival at airport it took a moment to get our bearings and find the office, but straight forward after that. Hired for 48 hours. Chose to get WiFi hub which helped with our data. Return to office very straight forward. Staff arranged taxi back to hotel and helped with parking app query we had . Highly recommend

Great car, great service, quick and efficient

We rented a car for 10 days and had a very good experience. The pickup was quick and easy next to the airport.

We rented a Suzuki Jimny. On first inspection they noticed that the tires were quite worn and had them replaced with offroad tires within 20 min, truly amazing service and safety first! We picked the most complete risk free insurance package, quite expensive but well worth it if you're travelling the f-roads. This allowed us to see the most beautiful spots in Iceland free of worries. We also got a keytag which gives you a small discount on fuel at certain stations, ideal for a large roadtrip like we did.

Returning the car was also simple and again next to the airport. The car was great during the 10 days, no issues at all. We would recommend this rental company to anyone planning to explore Iceland.

I rented a Dacia Bigster. The car was new and perfectly equipped for the route I needed to take. They recommended expanding the insurance, and it was much more relaxing to travel knowing I was 100% covered, especially since the additional cost was so small. When I return to Iceland, I'll definitely be using them again.

Very close to airport. Check in was very quick and we were on our way. Return was even faster. Zero issues with the car and we drove everywhere while we visited. Preferred renting from a local business over bigger names and was not disappointed.

Great communication and awesome customer service, we highly recommend. We received a brand new car but unfortunately due to an illness in the family we needed to return to Australia and cut our trip short, the team were so kind and supportive, offering a refund for the remaining days on the rental.

Collection and return of hired vehicle was made very easy due to the location of the Reykjavik Cars depot in relation to the airport, (not 5 minuets walk). The quality and condition of vehicle we hired was as expected and was clean and tidy. This all made for a great and trouble free week of travelling around Iceland site seeing.

Easy pickup and return. We got a screw in our tyre, called Reykjavik Cars and they called back with a solution within minutes. All inn all car fixed 45 minutes after we noticed the issue. Highly recommended. 👌🏽
