Excellent service and very honest people. I had booked a Nissan X Trail with a Roof Box. When we were taking the delivery, Roof Box was not available. Hence they upgraded me to a fantastic car. Fully loaded !! Explanation regarding features of the car, basic rules and regulations, fuel discounts, etc were very much helpful. Great car rental company. Its the only car rental company which has office in the Reykjavik City in case someone wants to rent a car not from day 1 but say from day 3 of their tour. Drop-off is also just outside the airport.

Great service. The car was easy to pick up even with the self-pick up. The car category was as expected and the car itself was new and with zero problems. Customer service is professional and ready to help with any issue.

First time in Iceland and had a wonderful experience with Reykjavik Cars rental company.
The all process was smooth and hassle free. Got the car on time. It was clean, new and with no problems. Price was good comparing to other companies i found with the same details and insurance. They were responsive to any inquiry. Much recommended.

We rented 2 cars and two car seats for the trip, they are all very clean and in good condition, the office is closure the terminal, pick up and return are easy and fairly quick, very good experience.

The online process worked all, there are many e-mails received after booking. The pick-up was not great. Very minimalistic info provided, we did not receive a damage report and  we got the weakest car if the category. The car had MANY more scratches than documented, usually the report is updated when this is noticed, but we were told just to take pictures. The fuel level was 100% on paper, probably 85% in reality proven by comparing first full tank Vs Kms and consumption %, we took a picture. They advertise Toyota Aygo or similar but they probably have 10 Hyundai i10 for each Toyota - this is similar in other countries, but worse here. The price of the rental was a bit better compared to competitors, but huge for such a weak small car. The drop off experience was great.

Both the check in and the check out was very smooth and clear. The location at the drop off is very close to the airport, it takes only 5 minutes to the gates.

The location being right next to the airport makes this rent a car company very convenient. We compared like 10 different companies, since we needed a big car for a group of 5 people, and they had by far the best options for the rental and full insurance combined. The car served us well on every type of road without a single problem. BIG PLUS - if you rent with them you get a small discount on gas prices at certain gas stations that are available all across the ring road (seems minor but very useful for doing a big road trip). If we are coming again, we are definitely renting from them again.

Positive experience, comfortable car, spacious enough for six people for the duration of our 10-day stay. Assistance was always precise and punctual, providing directions and assistance if needed.

Service was prompt. Vehicle in good condition. Convenient and seamless rental. Could not have been easier.

We rented a Dacia Duster from Reykjavik Cars last summer and had a great experience.
The car was reliable and well suited for our trip around Iceland.
The whole process was easy, from pick-up to return, and there were no surprises with the final price.
I’d happily use them again.

Service is good. Right by airport - you walk or take connecting bus if you got luggage.
Didn't have to wait in line because there was no line. Service was fast and got handed keys right away. Then I had to search for the car in the parking lot by unlocking car multiple times. Then smooth sailing from there.
If you get insurance then there's no check up when returning keys. So there's minimal human interaction. You can also reach out if you run into issues.
Car was easy to drive, learned about auto steering. Overall, it was enjoyable ride.

Super easy to book online. The process to get the car the day of the booking and to return the cas was very easy and straightforward (we got the car and returned it in different places too!)

Booking the car rental online was easy enough and collection was very straight forward and quick. The car I received was in full working order. However given the age (young) of the car I would have expected it to be in better condition - this is the reason for not getting 5 starts. There was some noise from the suspension and the vipers which made us uncomfortable. When I called the rental help to understand whether all would be safe I was assured that it would and indeed we did not face any issues with the car's performance as such. Reykjavik cars also offered me a partial refund for the condition of the car being not what I paid for.

Overall, the car provided and the service were very satisfactory.

Totally 0, I would never recommend Reykjavík Cars. You left me in the hands of another company, Konvin, a real disaster. I was 1 hour waiting to be picked up at the airport, I called up to 5 different phone numbers with no answer. When the boy picked me up, he said he was alone, and that we should thank him that he took us for free, that we could have taken a taxi instead of the suttle!!! I found the comment totally denunciable. The reality is that we lost an hour and a half of travel, lying at the airport and without any refund of the rent. The car was all dented and they gave us a hybrid with a very little autonomy. I never asked for a hybrid in my reservation. All bad, I would never recommend you and I will put the reviews on the corresponding pages.

The car was very well equipped with studded snow tires, which proved to be a necessity. Very friendly welcome.

Despite our bad experience, we have been contacted by the team which refunded totally even the price of the taxi we needed . We hope our case was isolated. At least the team did a successful job to resolve the problem and restore confidence of the company.

I had a great experience with this car rental company. Everything was very clear from the beginning. I rented a Volkswagen 9-seater 4x4 for a week to drive on the F-roads in Iceland, and the car was perfect for the trip. From Reykjavik airport, I just waited for the shuttle they provided, picked up the car, and everything went smoothly. There were no issues at all, even when returning the vehicle. The staff are very kind, helpful, and professional. Highly recommended!
