Matt and the team were great, they set up a demo of the Ruark I wanted to purchase, let me listen in and play around with it which led to me ordering through them. The guy in the Bromley branch went through with the TV with me and looked after me, as I'm disabled. He gave me water and was very caring.
I bought it online as it was easier to get delivered. I didn't catch his name, but a very knowledgeable black man, no disrespect intended.

I could rant about tech companies dictating the customer experience instead of creating products that customers actually need. I mean, supposedly a master TV, calibrated for presenting content as the creator intends. I put in a Blu-ray, switched to Cinema mode, expecting a great experience. Only the default Expert 1 Colour Temperature (and Expert 2) are little more than Orange and Teal filters. So much for out of box simplicity.
But you really want to know about the shopping experience. This was excellent, friendly and informative staff who really helped me hone down my choices. Delivery was great too, timely and without flaw (although the couriers did spam my phone for texts a fair bit).
One small issue in store. I know when buying a TV, the audio can be an afterthought, and I had expected the soundbar to be plug and play. I had mentioned that I didn't own a smartphone, so it would have helped if I had known before hand that the soundbar needed an app installed to set it up (see my first point about user unfriendly tech companies, Sony) Thankfully I had an iPad at hand to set the soundbar up, but it would have helped if it had been mentioned at the point of purchase.

Easy to order over the phone for store collection. Great advice/confirmation of choice of purchase. Rang to confirm TV ready to collect, helped to carry to car. All the staff were very pleasant. Price was very competitive. Would recommend

I had to replace my CD player, 30 years after I bought my first one from Richer Sounds. Matt in Bromley was really helpful in explaining the main differences between players now and I made an informed choice. Even though it was out of stock at the warehouse, he had one delivered from another shop less than 48 hours after I'd made my selection. I'm very happy with the choice and price! After decades as a RS customer, it's been my experience that service, expertise and quality gear continue to be the (gold) standard in RS stores!
