After thirty years no more!

Bought an open box subwoofer with their six year warranty half price from £275 to £130 Sub stopped working took into store to be told it will be sent to manufacture who declared it couldn’t be repaired. That sub is now in a new version and costs £450. There solution was to give me a credit for £117 £130 minus £13 insurance cover and a £50 discount on a new sub meaning I had to pay £283 for the replacement. On calling customer services eventually they offered me a £30 refund or a credit note for £50.

I’ve been shopping at Richer Sounds since the eighties and now our relationship is over.

Thank you for your feedback, although I was sorry to read your comments of course and understand that its frustrating your item could not be repaired.

We will always fulfil our obligations to customers in the unfortunate event products develop a fault, generally always far and away exceeding the minimum recommendations for retailers. By offering a full refund of the purchase price after nearly 6 years of use, minus the guarantee cost that protected the item during your ownership, and offering a discount on the more expensive replacement you were interested in, it appears the store colleagues really did try and treat you as fairly as possible.

That said, I'm sorry we weren't able to reach a solution that met your expectations, particularly given your long history with the business. Whilst I would hope that you will take into account all the great previous experiences you’ve had with us, which we feel are more indicative of our general service and which thankfully many thousands of happy Trust Pilot customers confirm, either myself or a senior team member will reach out to you to try and salvage things here..

Great Service in Store

Please change your delivery provider or help them become at customer service as you are.

The following is my review of them,
I got an email informing me that my delivery would be the following day at 18.15 with an hour to respond to change it. I was 15 minutes into a two hour drive which is not a good way to respond to email ! When I rang the number they provided to change the delivery the message was that they closed 15 minutes before they sent the first message, so I couldn't have changed it any way. I then spent three separate attempts to call when they were open to find I was at best 39th in the queue. The queue seemed to go down when someone give up with frustration, including me. When i finally got through at the fourth attempt, when i was only 22nd in the queue i was told that I would be phoned within 24 to 48 hours and you've already guessed it 72 hours later i got the call.
The delivery crew were excellent.

I ordered the TV I wanted at a great…

I ordered the TV I wanted at a great price, there was good communication throughout the order & delivery process - the only thing that spoiled the experience was the delivery timescale - I ordered on Friday 19th June & expected delivery within 3 to 5 working days - however the tv was eventually delivered at 5.30 pm on Saturday 27th June (not the next day but over a week later).

Just what we were looking for.

Staff attentive to what we were looking for in a new sound system, knowledgeable but not blinding us with technology and adding personal experience and recommendations. We felt that what was being suggested was tailored to us. Plus added bonus of next day delivery.

Now set up and the best sound we've ever had.

I was given plenty of advice and recommendation as to choosing a hifi seperates system. Discounts were good and overall price was excellent.Delivery was faster than expected and overall service was faultless would thoughly recommend the hull branch
