Great service and knowledgeable staff

Always very helpful and accommodating. Particularly appreciated the help from Olli and the post sales help over the phone from one of his colleagues.

Great service, help and advice

Great service, help and advice. Stuart was very sympathetic to an issue with my hi-fi purchase. The equipment was replaced without any fuss. I also purchased a subwoofer.
All is working to my satisfaction. Thanks very much!

If in doubt email the manufacturer …

I always use Richer sounds and they are really helpful and the prices are extremely competitive.
My last purchase was an Ortofon Concorde Blue, I went into my local branch and as usual the members of staff were friendly and helpful, I enquired about the stylus and was advised this particular product was designed for DJ’s for scratching, I was a little confused based on my research on the manufactures site and was offered a few alternatives but didn’t make a purchase due to my confusion,

I emailed Ortofon with the advice I’d been given by the store and they said the information given by the sales person at Richer Sounds was incorrect and the Concorde Bluewas the correct choice.

After I received confirmation I ordered the stylus online from Richer Sounds and it arrived in time, I fitted it and it’s amazing, I’m not blaming the gentleman in store as they can’t know everything, my advice is if in doubt e mail the manufacturers.

They almost lost a sale

Thanks very much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and balanced review. I’m sorry for the incorrect advice you were given in store regarding the Ortofon Concorde Blue however, which I appreciate was confusing, particularly when you’d already done your own research on the item.

Ortofon do produce such a stylus, specifically for scratching, but we don't range it currently. I've since raised the matter with the branch manager and his team asap, and reinforced the importance of always giving the correct advice.

I’m really pleased to hear that once you’d confirmed things with the manufacturer and ordered online, everything went smoothly and that you’re delighted with the stylus now it’s fitted. Of course if I can be of any help to you in the meantime do let me know..

After sorting through OLED tv's on line…

After sorting through OLED tv's on line and getting close to te one for me noticed that Richer Sounds seemed to have all the best prices and the bonus of a 6 year warranty included in the price. Always been happy with Richer Sounds on previous purchases so decided to go there and have a look at the TVs I was considering in the flesh. As soon as I walked in I saw which one I would be buying which was the same make as the one that had just gone faulty after 8-9 years solid service.The shop guy did not hassle me just answered all my queries and told me about free next day delivery which was ideal so I got my wallet out. Everything went great with delivery and TV is as good as it looked in the shop. Used to use Cole Brothers some times but now they have abandoned Sheffield would not consider buying without seeing, The Richer Sounds deal was better than theirs anyway. Excellent Thankyou!

Unfortunately there was a fault with the first tv I’d ordered but it was replaced the next day with another with no quibble whatsoever.
Olli and his team kept me in the loop and I was very impressed with the service I received.

Competitive prices and great service.

Staff are always attentive and knowledgeable and the fact that if there is no stock of the item required they can nearly always get it next day and even deliver to customer at no cost.

Excellent service and delivery

Excellent service and delivery. Unfortunately the Humax 6000T would not function correctly due to it's smart tuning feature and many other design faults. The return and refund was simple and fast, which is unusual these days. Always my preferred location for AV products.

Whats it all about GEOFF?

I liked the fact that i got advice over the phone about the speaker cable I wanted was no longer available.And that it's equivalent would be about six pounds a meter. "come in and we ll sort you out"
What I didn't like was travelling into Sheffield, and then a half an hour walk from the car,for Geoff to say it's 10 pound a meter. When the other sales assistant checked the computer , it was indeed six pound. I said I'd like seven metres please.Geoff said,we haven't got that much. If I d known this fact , I would have flipping well ordered it over the phone. He did give me free delivery, but I wasn't going to be home the next day so I had to get it delivered to the shop,and once again drive fifteen miles into sheffield, And take a thirty minute walk,up the hills of sheffied and back another 30. Followed by the drive home. The new cable cost me 52 pounds. I could have got the same cable from amazon, sat back and had it delivered to the door on the day I required it.Update.
David from customer service fond of me as soon as you got word of this review, and made things good. He apologised for the confusion and graciously offered me half the purchase price back. It just shows that these reviews are indeed taken notice of. Richer Sounds has incredibly good.Customer service.

Thank you for your feedback, although it's really disappointing to read of how your enquiry was handled. I've listened to the call between yourself and the store and totally agree, the availability of the cable should have been clarified there and then, especially considering we knew you were coming in, and the mistake with the price when you got there, although quickly rectified, only served to make the situation worse.

I have since spoken to the store manager who was most concerned to learn of the feedback and who has spoken to the colleague involved about the issue, to make sure it is not repeated. In the meantime I also understand that our customer service team have contacted you and made things right.

Really good customer care and quality range of products. Only slight drawback was not knowing what exactly came in the box. Decks did have slipmats and headshells included, which wasn't available info
