Honestly, DO NOT BUY FROM this company! Warranty means nothing, owner Richard is Aggressive. Car was faulty from the start, fobbed off and lied too. Finance company had to make them try to fix and they held the car ransom. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST

Excellent Service from Shane at Richlee Motors
We recently visited Richlee Motors and dealt with Shane, who was extremely accommodating and patient. We weren’t entirely sure which car we wanted, so we asked to test drive a few different models, and they were more than happy to arrange this for us.
Although we didn’t purchase a car on this occasion, we have bought from Richlee Motors before and always received excellent service. Shane made the experience stress-free and friendly, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Richlee Motors to anyone looking for a car.
Don’t buy from these people
I bought a Mercedes E350 Convertible from Richlee, at the end of February 28 miles into owning the car I had a red warning come up on the dash telling there was a power steering fault. I pulled over and called them and they left me on the side of the M25 for 3 hours and a further 3 hours at South Mimms services waiting for the AA. The AA arrived and plugged into the car and I was told the steering rack needed replacement but he would be able to turn off the fault so I could get home. I received a call from Mr Shayler, the owner on the Saturday morning and he advised me to call them when the warning light came back on. Low and behold 2 weeks later it did so they had it back and I was led to believe it was a software updated and I also alerted them to the state of the suspension when driving but was fobbed off due to having 19” alloys. The car came back and 2 weeks later the fault came back and the car was taken away again this time they replaced the steering rack and again was told about the suspension issues yet again fell on deaf ears a month later I got the car back with no fuel and the steering rack done but still suspension issues. A few more weeks later the engine management light came one and was told by the AA was the NOX sensor to which Richlee disagreed and topped up the AdBlue again the suspension was mentioned and again I was told nothing wrong with it and got the car back. A few days ago the same engine warning light came on again the NOX sensor as I my finance company paid for an independent inspection I told the inspector of the suspension issues and agreed with me. Today Richlee have washed their hands of my car so now I’m having cover the costs myself. What a lovely garage!! Supposed to have carried out 150 point check before I collected the car…..yeah right!! They also sent me a loan once that had bald tyres and no oil in the engine!! Am I a happy customer I was but now far from it I have a car that was supplied to me with a fault that they knew about and that they brushed under the carpet and now I’ve got to get it repaired myself less than 6 months of owning the car!! I would recommend these people to no one and if you do buy a car from them I’d recommend an independent inspection on it before handing over your hard earned cash like I did.
UPDATE!!
Since this review I have now paid out over £2000 to have pretty much the whole front suspension replaced by a REPUTABLE local garage who told me that this car should never have been released to me in the state it was in and was a death trap!! I have been advised by a solicitor to file a claim in the small claims court and regiseter a CCJ against these people. They have sold me a fautly car I am not going to sit back and let them get away with it, so many dealers in this country are doing it and its disgusting they are allowed to get away with because us the consumer are scared to take anything further. I have sent a letter to them with videos showing how bad the suspension was!! and I was told it was due to over inflation of my tyres!! If only they had replaced this when i flagged it to them I would have been a happy customer and been giving a 5 star review rather than this 1 star.

WOULD NEVER BUY A VEHICLE FROM THESE PEOPLE
At the start of this purchase Kevin at Richlee could not help me enough ! There were a few issues with my car, he went up and beyond the call of duty, but then it turned out the issues were because their mechanic changed the spring which then caused a fault with the wheel bearing. Then after 3 days of having the car more noises appeared I then contacted Richlee and said I didnt want the vehicle due to the additional noises. I asked if it could be exchanged for another vehicle, they said yes if I was willing to loose £1500 on the my vehicle. In the time period I had received several phone calls from people within Richlee including the boss himself where the calls were blaming me and trying to intimidate me ! I actually ended up in tears after one of their men called me. I had then to file a complaint with the finance company to have the vehicle taken back. I then had an independent inspection which showed that Richlee's mechanics cannot fit springs correctly, plus they missed other faults which their glorified inspection sheet said everything was tip top !!!! So now the vehicle has gone back via the finance company. I would not trust these people to do anything to any of the cars on the forecourt. As for their people skills intimidating a woman on the phone to the extent of making her cry I think is disgusting
Great service before & after sales
I literally cannot believe some of these reviews! We have purchased several cars from Richlee over the years and have always found Richard and every member of staff we have dealt with very professional and helpful. Even after having a few problems after sales Richard has always been there to help and put right the situation. After sales care is amazing in our opinion. Please don’t let a couple of bad reviews put you off going to Richlee .. the amount of years he has been there trading speaks volumes . I suppose you cannot please all the people all of the time .. but there’s always two sides to a story.

I bought a volvo which I absolutely love. They found a problem with the battery storage which was corrected before it was handed over. I have now got a problem with my drivers side window, phoned, booked in and being done tomorrow. Dealt with Shane and Richard, both lovely guys....would deal with them again in a heartbeat
Beware of owner called Richard!
Where to start! I’m giving this company one star as we had a good sale experience and liaised with Jane and Andy regarding an ongoing issue and they were very professional. The problem started when we had to contact the owner Richard! We purchased a car that had a light on the dash but were promised it would be sorted the following week but they could not get an appointment at Fait until then. Graciously my husband took the car to Fiat on their behalf but it could not be fixed. After a week or so it was determined the light was not a simple task and would require a new part costing approximately £5000. At this point things turned sour. We waited 5 weeks for a decision. We asked on several occasions for Richard, the owner, to return our call which he did not. The other staffs hands were tied so we decided to just go down there on the off chance one Saturday and sure enough Richard was there sitting at reception. He greeted us with a massive smile and outreached hand and commented how he was just talking about us! Both my husband and I hesitated and said, tongue in cheek, maybe we should shake hands after the deal LOL. At this Richard said we were the rudest customers he had ever met and was going home! Of course we followed him through the forecourt. I tapped him gently on the shoulder asking if we could resolve the situation and he fronted up to me telling me to get my hands off of him then he proceeded to take my husband into a locked room and told him he was the rudest ‘see you next Tuesday’ he had ever come across. At this, my husband laughed, but Richard had us over a barrel as we still needed him to resolve our issue so we remained calm. We eventually went to the service room with other staff around where we came to an agreement that he would either fix the car or give a full refund. The car could not be fixed and although he didn’t call us directly my husband went down and after making him wait an hour they did issue the refund. Beware if you need aftercare and Richard has to make the final decision. We have never met a ruder, more unprofessional, business owner in our lives.
Friendly, but pay a deposit on a credit card
All the staff very friendly, but the Ford Kuga ST started going wrong a couple of weeks after I had it. It went back to them/Ford five times in all. It had 2 oil leaks that should have shown up on its 'new' MOT. They fixed things very slowly (they did provide a courtesy car, but it all took up so much time). When it finally broke down on me after 3 months, I asked for a refund verbally, then in writing. They took 10 weeks to refund (minus £1,500), but only after loads of calls (many they didn't return), and pressure from my credit card company. They were obviously given a dud, but the way they handled it made it all extremely stressful. My advice: know your consumer rights - send it back for a full refund if it goes wrong in the first month, and pay at least a deposit on a credit card to give yourself some protection.
Absolutely awful experience
Absolutely awful experience. Warranty on car means nothing. Owner outright lies to get the sale, car has had nothing but problems and they aren’t interested. Don’t buy from here ! Staff seem to all be really nice and friendly but the owner is aggressive and manipulative. Opening a case with trading standards and we aren’t the first !!

I bought a Hyundai I30 with the help of Kevin. He was incredibly friendly and helpful with every question. The car is in great condition and they did everything they could to make it that way. Valeted, MOT'd and any problems dealt with, and a full set of fresh tyres included. Amazing job

I bought a Ford from these folks less than six months ago, and already I’ve had to pay for repairs that should be covered under the engine and gearbox warranty. The after-sales care team? Completely uninterested and unhelpful. These repairs are costing me over £1,500, which is outrageous for a car I’ve had for such a short time! They keep promising to call me back but never follow through. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend them—I’d advise others to avoid them entirely.
