Top Notch Customer Service
I recently attended Anime Detour in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Right Stuf Anime had a booth at the convention with tons of merchandise, grab bags, manga, figures, etc. I ended up purchasing a figure from their booth (paid in cash). When I got home and opened the figure, I was disappointed to find a few manufacturer defects. I contacted Right Stuf Anime support and explained my situation, noting I did not have a receipt of purchase, as I paid in cash. Right Stuf support was able to corroborate my story, and worked with me to get a replacement figure. Right Stuf emailed me a return label, I sent the figure back, and as soon as the figure arrived at the return station, Right Stuf shipped a replacement figure back to me with priority shipping. The replacement figure looks great and has no defects. I worked with Jake in customer support. Jake was professional, responded quickly, and helped me resolve my issue. Excellent customer service. Thank you!
Never do business with Right Stuf
I ordered 2 books, and when 3 weeks had passed I asked about my order. USPS tracking indicated it was delivered. Right Stuf customer 'service' said the order got rejected (these books are for one of my kids so no, no they were not going to be rejected) and they returned $25 of a $42 order. Again I had to ask why and this time they told me they charged me for shipping both ways and a 15% restocking fee. And if I want those books again, they said I can't get the original discount. I'll never order from then again.
Worst online shopping experience I have ever had.
I am not one to write negative reviews, but this case is different. I ordered 4 seasons of a particular series from this company and some of the listed seasons were out of stock. No big deal, I can wait for the other seasons to come after they got more in stock. I had to submit a request for refund after 41 days of waiting and two inquiries into why they could not send the part of my order they had in stock to get an answer that read to me like "partial orders will be filled and sent if and when we feel like it." I have never ordered multiple items from any site with some of the items being out of stock to be told I will not recieve any of my order until all of the items in questions are available inventory. It is a shame that the customer service is so terrible, as I would have used this website to buy a plethora of anime paraphernalia had they been a touch better about trying to keep customers.

Absoulute D0gshit
I ordered a books on November LAST YEAR, and they still haven't arrived if it doesn't come by end of April I demand full money back if not there will be bigger problems.
Highly recommended and dependable
I always go to them first for my anime needs. After buying many products from them I feel compelled to leave this review. They have a great selection and will often have competitive pricing as well. Their shipping is prompt and they always make sure the packaging will protect the products. Go to them over any others.
Always Great Experience
Every time I've boughten from RightStuf the manga has always been in perfect condition, and if I ever need to change anything, the customer support is always very helpful.
Super slow processing
Super slow processing, even for unstick items. Some books arrived damaged, I had to pay return shipping.
Terrible
Ordered a package on October 21st and it was supposed to come on November 8th and it never came. It is already November 29th
Favorite good's website
Favorite good's website. Packaging always above and beyond for product safety during shipping. Far surpasses any other site I've used for books. No more worrying about bent/lightly torn pages.
Horrible Customer Service + Atrocious Company
Absolutely atrocious company. I used to order a few items here and there when I saw they were selling something I wanted.. yet now I will go out of my way to avoid this horrible company. I preordered a figure years prior to me moving states. As any normal person, I don't focus religiously on when this specific figure would release, but I did anticipate an email possibly warning me before the figure would be released. I acquired no email or reminder and wasn't informed of it being sent/shipped out until it was already in "Transit." I tried to immediately contact Rightstuf to correct the address and was told that they couldn't do anything. I then turned to Fedex to try to have them reroute the package, yet I was informed by Fedex that I have no rights to my own package and that Rightstuf would have to call them and change the address. I once more reached out to Rightstuf to try to rectify the situation, yet my cased was immediately closed and I was told that this whole thing was on Fedex. (Pointing fingers - real classy Rightstuf) I then went on to once more talk to Fedex managers etc, once more I was told I have no control over the package even though I'm the receipant and that Rightstuf would have to call them to right the situation - when I contacted Rightstuf once more they IMMEDIATELY closed my case and stated they can't do anything and that Fedex was lying. They didn't even try to talk to Fedex or aid me in any way. I eventually called Customer Service to try to talk with someone over the phone so that maybe they could call fedex right then and help me BUT NOPE. I was scolded by their representative stating "I should have been an adult and updated my address." I asked why I didn't receive a forewarning email like I receive from Goodsmile, 1999Hobby etc. and he kept on saying this was my fault and that they would do nothing to help me. I've never been treated so poorly by a company or their customer service. I will now go out of my way to tell people to not shop with them or deal with them in any manner. At this point I'd rather pay more from some other website just so I can have reliable customer service and reliable transparency. It's embarrassing seeing all the other reviews and how people are complaining about similar things - I think Rightstuf should put more effort into making their customers happy and owning up to their screw up's then arguing with customers on this website. Get better Rightstuf - you're an embarrassment of an anime company.
I have been using this company for over…
I have been using this company for over 10 years, but this past Christmas and order I received was lost. They wanted me to fill out a physical claim form and mail it in - no email - and I let them know that due to covid I did not have access to a printer so it would take time until I could access one (I usually went to the library but they were closed in my area at the time due to covid) but I did get it done a few months later.
They never responded to my first notice about the delay, and after many more months I finally gave them a call. They claimed the never received the form and since so much time had passed they could no longer do anything for me - meaning they wanted to keep my $121.09 and not give me anything.
They never mentioned anything about a time limit for returning forms and took no consideration for delays due to covid (tho their own website even even told customers their shipments could be later due to covid).
I used paypal so I am submitting a fraud claim, but even if I get this resolved I don't see myself using this company anymore. I could have accepted not getting the items, I can't accept them just taking my money. Good buy right stuf.

Lying about pre-orders
Super disappointed in these guys. I pre-ordered a manga, Metamorphosis by Shindo-L. They said it would restock on the 15th of August. I specifically e-mailed them BEFOREHAND asking if they were sure they'd get enough stock to fulfill the pre-orders, and they assured me they do NOT oversell their pre-orders. Now a month later it still has not been shipped, and they told me they didn't have enough stock and don't have an ETA when I'll actually get my order. They didn't even apologise or wrote anything other than an automated e-mail. So annoying and disappointing, never buying anything here again
EDIT: Can you use your energy that you take to reply to all the negative reviews here being defensive as hell and work on your actual support? You don't think saying "We are not at the cutoff for pre-orders yet" is the same as saying you're not overselling/have enough stock incoming to fulfill it at the promised date? You say you can't give an ETA but you *did*. You set an arrival date on 15th of August, where pre-orders would be fulfilled. And then you didn't. That said, I just got an e-mail that it's back in stock and I see it is purchaseable on the site now. I hope to god this means you're shipping out all the pre-orders now and aren't selling it WHILE we're waiting for pre-orders. The fact that you reply passive aggressively implying you're "sorry" I "misinterpreted" it is just ugh.
Once I receive the manga I'll update my review but for now I am cautiously waiting because your handling of this makes me concerned.

A strapping young gentleman like myself…
A strapping young gentleman like myself has a lot of time on his hands. Because of that I’m ok with waiting a extended amount of time for a package…. But oh my god whatever warehouse there shipping from it takes ages. It would be understandable if the item was out of stock but even in stock items take an outrages amount of time to deliver. Go someplace else frrrr

Spice & Wolf Light Novel Series
I ordered 4 books of a light novel series. Book 1 and 3 had noticeable damage around the edges, corners and top of the pages, whereas books 2 and 4 came in pretty good conditions. They were all together so I don't understand how only two books got damaged... Everything else about the order process was great, just stuck with half my books having damage to them. I just like my books being in near perfect condition on after I've read them, so kind of a bummer, but oh well. If you don't mind this risk with any books you order, then I'd recommend ordering from here.
No longer the Right Stuff
I used to buy my anime VHS tapes from this site, that's how long I've been a dedicated customer. I've only ever had 1 problem with shipping, when a Tenchi Universe box set I bought never arrived. Customer service had a replacement shipped out and at my doorstep within a week. Sadly the great company that existed back then is no more.
I placed a recent order for my husband's birthday. I got concerned when the tracking information hadn't updated for 5 weeks. I first tried contacting them through their route app. Claim instantly denied for being over 30 days old. Reached out to their customer service website, was sent a claim form with instructions to 1. First file a claim with USPS, then once their investigation was over, 2. attach it to their claim form, which requests LEGAL consent and wait for their investigation to commence. Needless to say I didn't want to wait another 2-6 months for a replacement or refund. Luckily I use PayPal for most of online purchases so I have some buyer protection.
Just like similar reviews as soon as PayPal found in my favor, RightStuf quickly moved to ban my account. If only they showed as much enthusiasm in helping their customers? I'm fine saying goodbye with ZERO regrets. No sense supporting a business that doesn't exist anymore. I'll miss you RightStuf for what you were but certainly not what you are now. Great customer service is at the heart of customer loyalty but clearly you no longer care.
i love this company
i love this company. the customer support is the ONLY support service ive had no trouble with and has been nothing but helpful to me. their packaging is amazing and i have no problems with them. the only thing wrong with rightstuf is that they dont have release dates 90% of the time.
West Coast customer
If you want to save money on manga and you are buying in bulk, order from rightstufanime. I consider myself to be a patient individual and I am willing to wait for back ordered items, so the amount of time it takes to reach my door doesn't bother me one bit. I've even had orders come in days earlier than expected. The books are always packaged safely and are 99% of the time in very good condition. If you expect Amazon levels of quickness, maybe you should order from them, but it will cost you.
Best manga purchasing site
I made my first order of manga recently. Normally I wouldn’t take a risk but so many people gave this site positive reviews that I wanted to try. I was so surprised at how well my order was put together, how clean each book was, and the selection available to me. I was able to get books that would cost me $300 in total for $110. And they were good books, none of them one offs either. I was so impressed by the quality that I immediately placed a new order right away for more, and they gave me a coupon. Now the waiting is long, but it’s worth the savings. I think RSA is going to be getting a lot of my business going forward.
I just got 2 dollars of manga blind box…
I just got 2 dollars of manga blind box thinking I’m going to get three or four manga cause my town doesn’t sale manga so I got it and I got two freaking dvds I was waiting for two anime dvds that I can easily get at my local game station if you have money to throw away then get it I wish I can refund
Officially Licensed Merch
Sketchy, severely understaffed, pretty bad customer service, but has officially licensed merchandise and that does actually make a huge difference, cause it does show legitimacy. I bought a few things from there and always had a smooth enough experience.
