I started buying manga this year after wanting to delve further into the My Hero Academia series (MHA). I researched several places to buy from and landed with RightStufAnime (RSA), I am very glad I did.

One of the main reasons I decided to purchase from them was the care they put into their packaging and merchandise. I've seen many Reddit posts of RSA hauls and majority of them came in great condition. I bought the first 25 issues of MHA from them and their condition was fantastic.

Their pricing is very competitive and even better after getting their GotAnime membership. Even if Amazon has slightly better price, I would rather go with RSA since it is more of guarantee the condition of the manga will be great. They also have weekly sales on a variety of series as well as bigger sales like the Holiday Sale (Black Friday to Christmas) that include great prices on bundles.

Best place to buy manga!

Right stuff has the some of the best prices for manga you can find. Only place where I’ve found brand new manga cheaper is InStockTrades. My only issues I have with right stuf is their return policy where you the buyer has to pay for the return shipping and something they just changed recently where the free shipping price was moved from $50 to $75.

As far as nitpicks, for their holiday sale they seem to have the same series on sale. I would prefer if they did some sales for series that are never really on sale such as Magi, YuYu Hakusho etc. but that’s just a nitpick.

All in all right stuff is the best place to get brand new manga especially since their package is the best around period.

I placed an order for about 20 manga volumes and went to check if they had been shipped, when i logged in my order was cancelled! The email went into my spam email that was asking for confirmation, but the sender name did not even come from "Rightstuf" it was under a name like "Robin" or "Rachel", which obviously matches the service as "junk". I called & left a message that said someone would return my call within 1 day, and I never received one. I called again, and was told that it was my fault that it got cancelled because I did not respond to a spam formatted email. I did not even receive any notification saying my order was cancelled, I wish I did because I was ready to spend a lot of money since I found the books I wanted at a good discount, and now the discount is unavailable. Customer service did nothing to keep me as a customer, and did not offer me any discount or alternatives. After my last order finally comes in, I will not be ordering from here again, I would rather order from a company that communicates with me and values me as a customer and not just a number.

Edit: the fact that this company will not acknowledge my review and will respond to others further proves they do not care about their customers

Rightstufanime is a great place to buy your manga and anime! I typically only buy manga as that's what I'm mostly into, though I do occasionally buy DVD's/Blu-rays. They have amazing packaging and I have yet to receive a damaged product from them. They also have nice sales every week and weekend which highlight different genres of manga, anime and more!
The only thing that has changed recently is that their free economic shipping price has changed from $50 to $75, which hasn't posed a problem for me as I normally make bigger purchases. Another problem that has occurred is that sometimes it takes months for my books to be packaged and shipped (though it may have to do with the fact that I usually buy a mix of in and out of stock books).
All in all rightstufanime is a great place to buy manga and anime, and even though the packaging and shipping may take a while, I think it's a fair trade off for the amazing deals that I get on my purchases!

Overall Rightstuf is amazing (or, anime-zing) when it comes to finding good deals. From what I've seen, when it comes to manga, anime, and merch, Righstuf has the better (and more frequent) deals and a wider selection. I also like that they still sell some of the older stuff. Sales are frequent for all types of items. Their packing is phenomenal, the boxes are quite sturdy and my items have always been securely wrapped. Shipping is fast too (ya know, minus COVID hitting all aspects of delivery right now). The few times I have talked to customer service have been fine as well; they were friendly and worked with whenever I had a problem.

-CONS-
I do have some minor issues.
Preorders: The preorder cutoffs aren't always listed, so I never really know when is the last day to preorder an item; sometimes I can order up to the week before, sometimes the cutoff is two or three months prior. I wish that was more consistent. I do find though, that compared to others (like Crunchyroll for example) Rightstuf has a longer preorder period in general.

Fees: Another thing is they raised the price limit for free shipping and to use Sezzle as a payment method. For Sezzle, it used to be lower than $150 and the price suddenly increased to $150. Shipping used to be $50, although this might be COVID related. I didn't really see any notice about either of those price increases, so it was kind of surprising, especially since I don't often get $75 worth of items regularly and especially not $150.

Figures: While most anime and manga products are priced quite cheap, figures tend to be pricier than other places, and they aren't eligible for free shipping or discount offers (EDIT: To clarify, I mean you can't use coupons or discounts codes like you can for other items. They do however, run different sales for figures, although I don't always find them to be a better deal compared to other places).

-SUMMARY-
Despite some communication things that could be clearer on their website, you can't go wrong with Rightstuf. I try to go to their con panels whenever I'm at a convention and I think the staff genuinely cares about sharing anime and providing quality service. Right now, I get it's hard for everyone with COVID and all, but despite that, I think Rightstuf is still doing great.

Rightstuf is the best place to buy your manga and anything related to anime online. They don't charge sale tax(if you don't live in Lowa) and they have the lowest prices on manga . Their Got membership is only worth if you buy a lot of stuff on their website otherwise it not worth the money because they don't offer free shipping & returns. Aside from that their customer service is excellent they will go out their way to help you resolve your problem . I highly recommend this company to any anime collectors because of their great packaging to prevent any damage during shipping and they have lowest price online.

Right Stuf is the best place to buy any anime related merchandise. I have been buying from them almost exclusively for a good while now and I have not had any problems with their staff or website. I've enjoyed the time I've already spent here and will continue to enjoy using them as my main source of anime merch! A great site with great staff!

Right Stuf is my go-to place for most of my manga shopping. Right Stuf will always have the best deals on all published manga starting at 25% off, and they also have weekly deals for more savings! If you're looking to bulk purchase manga, Right Stuf is a must.

Found them by chance when I was purchasing movies from other online vendors, and they just so happened to be the seller for the Your Name movie. I was beyond amazed when it came in a specialty box designed for a Bluray and not just shipped in another bubble mailer to be inevitably bent. I have never purchased anything anime related from anyone else since. Everything is always packaged carefully. On top of that, even without the incredibly cheap membership (which you can easily make back), most of their items are always cheaper than other sources.
Of the one instance where I received a damaged item, it was quickly resolved. Going from 90% of my items being damaged to 1 in the last year, I'll never go back.

I love shopping with Right Stuf. They have a big selection of manga titles and really competitive pricing that makes me choose them over major retailers like Amazon. They also package their online orders well to prevent books and movies from getting damaged. I can tell that they care a lot about their customers because they themselves are fans of what they sell. The only downsides about my Right Stuf experiences can be their slow shipping times and their policy about partial order shipping which was confusing to me at first. Still, if you're patient and are smart about ordering, Right Stuf is the ideal choice for anime and manga fans.

Right stuff has amazing prices. Probably the best you can find on the internet. They have always done good by me and the customer service seems to be pretty responsive. The shipping is normally pretty good! I have had a few slightly damaged manga but nothing to bad. Overall they have great prices and the shipping is pretty decent.

Originally this site seemed to good to be true(as cheesy as that sounds). I am an avid manga buyer and would spend $20 every other week at the bookstore for only 2 volumes whereas now, being a Got Anime member, i can save my $20 and after only a few weeks be able to buy 10 or more volumes with fast and safe shipping.

Right Stuf Anime was an amazing discovery for me. I've found incredible deals and discounts, including out of print titles.

Can definitely get some awesome deals here only reason it’s not a 5 star rating is because if you preorder something in an order they don’t always ship other items I’ve had to wait months because I had a preorder in same order which doesn’t seem fair to customers

I have been shopping with Right Stuf Anime for several years, since before they re-designed their website and still used to have a forum where customers could talk about anime, recommend other shows, and talk about different subjects but the forum sadly went away after they re-designed the website along with some other website functionality that was no longer available after the re-design (such as being able to leave comments when you place an order). The website re-design wasnt totally bad because it did add the ability to create wishlist which wasnt previously available.

After the website re-design Right Stuf seems to also have changed the way that they run their business a bit (both good and bad), some of the changes that ive noticed are:

1) Before the re-design they used to have Studio Sales every month but the discounts would only be like 5-15% during the studio sale and then when Christmas came around they would have a huge sale called their 10 days of Christmas where they heavily discount all their anime including the new anime shows that were released that same year which would sometimes make me upset because I had found myself in the situation where I pre-ordered a show for $40-$60 and then a few months later they would put it as part of their 10 days of Christmas sale and sell it for $20-$25 when it was a new release that was released just a few months earlier, this caused me to stop pre-ordering stuff from their store and just wait until the end of the year to buy new shows. It seems that now Right Stuf has stopped this practice and only places regular edition and lower (not including limited edition shows anymore in their Christmas sales). Right Stuf also raised the order minimum requirement for free shipping from $50 to $75.

2) Right Stuf Anime got rid of the ability to leave comments when placing an order with them on their website, I am really picky about the condition that my anime merchandise arrives in because im a collector and since Amazon always tries to ship everything that I order with them in padded envelopes I found that Right Stuf anime was a better source of buying anime merchandise because they packed everything in cardboard boxes instead of padded envelopes like Amazon does so they usually arrive in better condition. Now that Right Stuf Anime has gotten rid of the comments section when placing an order on their website I cant leave them comments like "please check the items for scuffs, blemishes, damage on the covers, etc because im a collector, thank you!" and I have been receiving alot more items with damage on them from Right Stuf when I place my orders. The sad part is that I went with Right Stuf over Amazon because my items would arrive in better condition even though Amazon usually has better prices and an easier return process if something is wrong with the items, I guess ill have to buy directly from the studios more often now and only purchase from Right Stuf when items are deeply discounted.

3) The Got Anime? membership went from $12 to $18. The reasons why I think the Got Anime? membership is a very poor value because you can only use it for a 10% discount on regular priced items and for 30 extra days for returns that you pay return shipping costs yourself. The Got Anime? membership seems like a cash grab to me for things that they should provide for free as part of what they claim is Anime-azing! customer service and to compete better with Amazon.

4) The customer service has gotten worse, you better check your items and create the return ticket within 30 days of them shipping the order because if you go over by even 1 day they will refuse to help you at all and say "next time you should buy the Got Anime? membership or check the items as soon as you receive them" but with our busy lives sometimes its not possible to check items within 30 days and create a return request ticket. Its also annoying that returns have to be approved by someone at Right Stuf before your allowed to return items and if your approved then you have to pay return shipping expenses.

I use Rightstuf primary for Light novels or manga shopping. I used amazon and other sites but now all my books came from Rightstuf since their prices are great and the most important factor is there packaging. I did order lot of books from them and I have never had a damaged item. I received a damaged box because of the currier but the items inside were all in a perfect condition.
The also have a free shipping in the US on any order above $75.
Their Got Anime membership is nice but not that great. As a manga and LN buyer, it discounted usually $0.5 per book and it costs $18, so you need to buy a 36 book with $0.5 discount to come even with it. That’s not a problem if you buy all year from them not in sales only since it doesn’t stack with the sales. They could add some more things to the membership like a $50 free shipping or things like this.
They ship you’re items pretty fast previously and it would arrive within a week or 10 days. However, during the sales especially the Christmas one, they are facing some delays because of the amount of orders this period or because of the delivery companies delays and Coved at this year.

simply because I always have a hard time navigating through the Right Stuf Anime website on my Android phone and sometimes it takes a little longer for my items to arrive. Having said that, I have been a customer for over twenty years, dating back to when I would receive a print catalog a few times per year. I'm also a member of the Got Anime Rewards Club. The membership really pays for itself if you order several items at once. Instead of ordering from Amazon, I like to support smaller companies like Right Stuf because their prices are very fair and they stock many different exclusive items for sale such as a vast array of Mobile Suit Gundam Blu-ray sets. Occasionally, I may have to return something & it's never a problem. The Customer Service is Excellent! I sincerely hope that this honest review helps to convince anyone who might be unsure about ordering from the Right Stuf. They consistently show extra care in packing every single order, unlike Amazon. In the past when I still ordered from Amazon, I would constantly receive damaged items due to the lack of protection shown in packing the boxes. In over twenty years of doing business with Right Stuf, I've never had an issue with anything being damaged! They continue to be my only source when ordering Anime Blu-ray sets as well as merchandise. Here's To Another Twenty Years!

I’ve collected manga from companies like amazon and Barnes and noble but it wasn’t until this year that I found out about right stuff anime and I feel so lucky and happy to have found a company that cares about what they sell. You can’t bear right stuff anime’s prices and they way they package their products are top tier. I couldn’t be happier!

I was recommended this company from a friend and I haven't looked back. The selection of manga is phenomenal and their stock in general is interesting. The site itself looks slightly chaotic, but with how many great deals they have, I'd happily scroll through pages and pages just to see all that is offered. I would also highly recommend the membership! The main perk is the additional discounts, but also having access to special deals is huge plus!
So much time and care is put into each order and since I've started ordering from them, my books have not come in damaged compared to some of the larger chain stores.
Will continue to support them because they are absolutely awesome!<3

I have shopped Right Stuf for roughly five years and I have always loved how they have the best prices on everything they sell and free shipping for any order over $50 in the U.S. They have also always taken great care in packing. Recently a box I received was beaten in with collapsed corners but the items inside were none the worse due to their excellent packing. My only complaints are that they have recently changed their shipping policy for the first time I know of in years (perhaps due to the season) but neither posted it on the website nor emailed even members about the change (that I saw). I also have two pre-ordered figures that should've been released Nov. 30 (it's now Dec. 21) and I have yet to see a notification of delay (as I've seen with other figures) or that they have shipped. All in all, though they are still a great company with a great selection and I will likely still be happily buying from them for years to come!
