I have been a customer of Rightstuf for 2 years now and a GOT anime member for 1 year. I have saved a ton of money using the membership. I rarely have money when major sales come up or I'm too impatient to wait for certain titles to come up for sale so with the membership I always get the lowest price possible. When you consider the free shipping and that they don't collect tax on the transactions Rightsuf will almost always beat the prices at Amazon. Also you never have to worry about your items getting destroyed in the mail due to how well Rightstuf packs their shipments. I have bought hundreds of DVDS and Blurays over the last 2 years and have only had only one get the slightest of damage.

I've been buying from Rightstuf off an on for years. I've never had a bad experience. When ever I had questions or concerns, the support staff was there and actually able to help. Most stores just give people a run about when things go bad, but Rightstuf actually cares about their customers and treat us well.

Their way of packaging your shipment is also the best I've ever seen. I've had bought stuff through other retailers only to have accidentally cut into my item while opening the shipping box, or the item being broken due to the rough handling of the shipping company. Not with Rightstuf. Layers of cardboard and paper wrap protects the item from harm.
Now if only they'd make it so that we could buy/pay for pre-orders at the same time as other things in the cart, ship what they have at the time, and then ship the pre-ordered item when it gets released. Right now, if you place an order with a pre-order or out of stock item in your cart, you won't get your order until everything has been released/back in stock.

Right Stuff Anime has got all the goods! Before finding this treasure of a store, it was not only difficult to find anime items, it was much more expensive, too! Not only are the prices discounted even more than Amazon, for just $20 a year, the GotAnime! membership saves anime fans even more (which can turn into a lot for huge anime fans)! Additionally, unlike Barnes and Noble, the store keeps track of items already purchased so that the same volume of a long series isn't purchased again (which I have done before as I am into many series). However, what I love best about Right Stuf Anime is that the store obtains new items to preorder even before Amazon, and after the partnership with Sezzle, even allows consumers to buy and pay it back in segments! All in all, shopping for anime items was a headache before finding RightStuf Anime and now it's so much easier and convenient! I'm so glad I found this online treasure store!

I'm giving RightStufAnime 4-stars because....

Most recently I noticed that Free Shipping in the US is now for orders meeting or exceeding $75. And while some prices seem to go up, though still decently discounted from the MSRP. So perhaps it would be more fair to say that the discounts aren't quite as good as they once were.

That being said, prices go up so naturally the prices must increase eventually. Especially during a pandemic when shipping companies already have higher loads to sort and deliver.

In relation to shipping, the free-shipping price increase from $50 to $75 on an order is annoying since I haven't, and don't USUALLY buy $75 worth in one go. So if I want the free shipping, I have to be more strategic in what I do buy and what I hold off on buying, and when depending on what I can budget for anime.

I've been a member here for well over a decade, same with Got Anime membership. In fact I recently re-upped my membership. I've bought a TON of anime from RightStufAnime, as well as a couple of manga and figures.

YES you DO still save money with or without the Got Anime Membership! REGARDLESS of what type of product you buy from Rightstuf!

Customer service is always friendly and ready to help in whatever capacity they can. Items are always packed well and the boxes are reinforced inside for less chance of damage in-transit. In fact in all these years, and the dozens of orders I've made, I've only had ONE item arrive damaged, and they talked me through the process of mailing it back so they could replace it. So their customer service is really top notch!

Right Stuf has some pretty good prices and deals and sales on anime, manga, light novels, figures, etc. I have been being manga in bulk for at least 4 years and have been a got anime member during that time as well.
I enjoy that they get some releases early. I am able to cancel orders or partial cancel orders with ease.
I had one issue with a manga volume being misprinted and had to pay to ship it back to them. Once I got the replacement and it had the same misprint, they had me keep it. Right Stuf sent out a correct volume once they had gotten it from the publisher. So a really easy transaction. I have not experienced any other major problems.
They always pack their shipments well. Just wish the USPS would handle them better. I am another person who isn't please with the free shipping increase without notification.
As a got anime member I will say I do feel the membership fee works out in me saving in the end.
Recently with the co-vid shipping and not shipping partial orders I do understand however before it hit I do remember getting plenty of orders shipped partially, so I found this change disappointing, especially with the increase in free shipping amount. I have actually been shopping elsewhere when I only want a few volumes at a time.
I will continue being a got anime member and shopping with Right Stuf.

Rightstuf has always been my go to place for anime. Not only is their selection top notch, but they are fast to ship items while offering some of the best packaging around. I never have to worry with shipping from Rightstuf because I know they will properly package my orders. Any time I contact them with questions or other topics, they are quick to respond within 24 hours.

I ADORE RightStufAnime! Not only have I recommended it to every manga/anime lover that I know, I’ve also have gotten multiple people to actually buy and subscribe, even going as far as telling me that this website changed their shopping lives for ever.

This is by far my favorite site to buy anime and manga. The company is very open and communicative about when there will be shipment delays on their end and why. The site tells me if I already ordered something in the past on the item page so I don't accidentally double buy anything. Constant sales on already good prices, especially if you get the membership. My onlu complaint is the emails they send are kinda spammy, I get as many as 5 emails a day from them showcasing various items and deals.

This has quickly become my favorite place to buy manga from. When I was first starting my collection last year I never would have expected how much cheaper it was to buy from here than say Amazon or BooksAMillion. New sales every week, special bundles from time to time, and fantastic packaging. Overall fantastic site and will continue to buy until my bookshelves can’t hold any more.

Honestly Right Stuf is amazing. If you want a good deal on your bulk orders, expensive, rare, or imported items. They are the place to go to. They may take longer to ship then Amazon but their prices are consistently cheaper and they pack there items better to remove the chance of damage in shipment.

If you are an anime fan, a manga fan, a figurine fan, or all of the above. Right Stuf is the online store for you.

I'm someone who recently switched buying my light novels from Amazon to Right Stuf for one main reason: the products are cheaper. However, there are a few caveats which is why I'm only giving them 4 stars. First of all and I believe most importantly, they recently raised their requirement for free shipping from $50 to $75. As a result, even though on a case by case basis their products are cheaper, you have to be buying in bulk to get over that $75 mark or the shipping will be a pain. Secondly, it takes them longer to ship to you. You have to go into this knowing that they aren't Amazon, your items won't be arriving at your house in a few days-it might take a week and a half or even more. If you're fine with the longer arrival time and the necessity to buy in bulk, this is a great website to buy from.

I've been buying from rightstufanime for years now and I can definately say that that this is the best site for purchasing anime and Manga. And on another note, if you plan on making more than one purchase, I suggest that you purchase the Got Anime membership, as it is more than worth the $18 a year.

On another note, make sure if there's a figure you want preorder it as soon as possible. The good ones always go out of stock the fastest.

Over the course of this sale, I have seriously been enjoying my membership to the site. Early Access to the weekly sale and reduced minimum order costs have paid for it by themselves.
The holiday selection has been broad and encompassing a wide variety of options.
The only things that could be improved would be a return to the original fifty dollar minimum free shipping rather than the newly adopted seventy five.

I use rightstufanime for all of my manga needs! Their prices are unbeatable, and it is never hard to reach the free shipping threshold. Their packaging is extremely secure, and I have never gotten damaged or below satisfactory service. This is a great place to find almost all the anime & videos and manga & books that you are looking for. You can even purchase figurines & collectibles, apparel, audio, a small assortment of games, etc. Even stuff for those who are in an Adult frame of mind. Everything is reasonably priced. You can become a ”Got Anime” member and get a small percentage off most of your purchases for a year. Customer service is fast and friendly. You can get free 14-day economy shipping after you spent a certain amount of course. For me, when my purchase has been sent it takes around 7 days to reach my home, holidays are a little longer. All of my purchases have been wrapped and cushioned inside the delivery box so it arrives at my home in great condition.

They're truly at the top when it comes to being a useful retailer for everyone's anime needs. I always had this certain stigma when it came to buying ANYTHING anime (especially manga and novels). I just couldn't figure out where was the better place to get them and on top of that, for a good price. Many known retailers that we know in love sell manga, novels etc, but the prices really don't fit the bill. Rarely ever seeing a decrease and always staying at original retail price. Then there always that chance of your haul coming damaged in some shape or form due to poor package management.

This is where Rightstuf excels at the most and what really separates them from all other retailers. There really is no better feeling in the world than getting that confirmation email of your order being shipped out and reading the "This email is to let you know that our warehouse team has picked your order, packed it with care, and sent it on its way!" line. Really makes the consumer feel secured and taken care of. They truly have the best packaging above the rest and really try to give out the best conditioned items. I truly think that's what matters most to consumers when it comes to buying manga and novels. No one wants a bad conditioned item.

I can go all day about Rightstuf pricing and how great they are. Let me just say that their super competitive. One look at those prices and I guarantee you won't look the other way. Items that haven't even come out yet will almost certainly being on a discount. There really is no beating that. Have it look for yourselves!

Customer service, in my personal opinion have been great as well. Super friendly and very attentive and quick to resolve issues. I will say that if a issue should arise, calling them is far much faster than live chat and such (though I say that for almost every retailer though). I would almost go and say that their amazing but I can't speak for everyone sadly.

Truly my only one critique with Rightstuf is how gift certificates are handled. You see, rather than having an automated system that processes the gift cards almost immediately after purchase, they have a physical person manually process them instead. This ends up leaving a lot of the gift certificate orders on the "pending approval" status for days upon days. It's actually kind of crazy considering it's a digital item. This will evidentially lead people to cancel orders or just wonder what's taking so long. The answer to fixing that is just call them to be honest. I had this same issue and calling them resolved it instantly and I was able to get my certificates. Hopefully this is handled better in the future. I would hate to have to keep calling them repeatedly every time a gift certificate takes more than a week to approve.

Anyways though, shop at Rightstuf! The one critique is truly not enough to knock it down one star in my opinion. My experience has been nothing but excellent and hope it continues to be that way! Thank you Rightstuf!

I've been using RightStuf to expand my anime collection for about 5 years now. They continuously have great sales, great selection, and the few times I have accidentally double ordered a product, making a return was very fast and simple. I do wish they had a points program of some sort, but they are still hard to beat with their great prices!

I’ve spent more than $2000 USD on anime merch and Blu-rays from Right Stuf, and only had 1 time where I needed a refund for a manufacturer defect. I got a response from customer service within 24 hours and had my replacement within a week. All of their shipments are extremely well-packed and padded.

I've been a continued customer for Right Stuff as far back as the Animerica Magazine days (so like 1995).

They have always had solid pricing, good inventory and dependable support personnel. Shipping is also quite favorable.

Never had a bad experience where fault could be placed with Right Stuf, and in instances of shipping mishap they've always handled it appropriately.

Honestly can't praise their practices enough.

Rightstuf has gotten a lot of flak this year. Some arguements are valid and others just misunderstanding and ignorance.
They pack there merchandise very well. If anything is damaged it would have to be USPS, FedEx, or anyother shipping company. I have never received anything damaged from rightstuf. Any pictures I have seen online of damages tend to be very minor and look like shipping company faults.
Things Rightstuf Anime could improve upon would first be communication. They raised the free shipping requirments without sending any email or website notice. The raised free shipping from $50 to $75 ,in the US. The lack of any notice from a policy change is bad practice. Communication with customers and especially "Got Anime?" members is important. Rightstuf failed in this situation.
Second area of improvement would be partial shipping changes due to Covid. It is understandable that Covid is impacting an online anime retail shop. It should be a no brainer. Pre-orders being pushed back and out of stock items being unknown in when they will recieve them is also understandable, due to Covid. However, an entire order being put on hold due to a pre-order delay is once again bad practice. I've just started experiancing this problem and I've seen others wait up to 6 months on an order due to a pre-order delay. Partial order fulfillments should be practiced.
Finally I'd like to say rightstuf has great prices on anime and manga. They are in niche market and a small business. I plan to keep supporting them. I would love to see them overcome the issues they are having.
