I invested in the first Ripple Energy project (Graig Fatha). On the 26.06.2020 I purchased 4,491 Watts (12,001kWh/year) of electricity generated by the South Wales wind turbine. I did this to stabilise my electricity costs and to offset my high home energy usage, as I have two EV's and a family with two young children. To date (30.06.2022) I have saved £284.87 since the turbine went live on the 15.03.2022, and with current savings (lower summer wind speeds) of £2.66/day my investment will pay for itself between 6.8 to 8 years at todays rates through my Octopus Energy electricity account :-)
I cannot rate Ripple Energy's staff highly enough. These people are highly experienced, and many of them have worked in the renewable energy sector for many, many years!

Great idea - looking forward to my wind farm open and getting cheaper, clean energy. Good customer service!

I keep talking about it everywhere. For me It is all about democratizing energy transition. We don’t have to wait politicians and big companies while we are pushing them. Everyone can be a part of the energy transition without being directly involved in installation and maintenance part. Even if you leave in an apartment block or you are a tenant. Subscribing for your loved ones can also be a nice gift. they will remember it every month) we are planning to increase our investment as soon as we can afford.

The sign up process was easy enough and I have received answers to all my queries but feel I can only give an objective review once the wind turbine I have invested in is actually producing power. Once I see the savings on my electricity bill I might well give a higher review rating.

The principle sounded good to me, so I invested in the maximum allowed.
Looking forward in getting a discount on my energy bills in due course. Will change supplier from EDF to Octopus.

Purchase of share in a Scottish windfarm went through easily and quickly - seems a great idea. Am now looking forward to the construction being completed and a bit of payback.

Just like to thank Ripple for being there. They brought windfarms within reach of those who would not normally achieve such direct ownership. Good Luck with Kirk Hill development.

Too early to tell, I’m signed up for Kirk Hill but so far have just handed over money and got a couple of emails telling me some work is starting. The pitch is superficially nice but the terms and conditions are complex so still got to wait 18 months until it comes online to see if it actually yields promised benefits.

Great ethos, really straightforward process to sign up, clear information easily accessible, can’t wait for the wind farm to come on line and look forward to the helpful updates along the way.
Thank you!

I found RIPPLE ENERGY on YouTube as I am installing Solar Panels and changing over my Gas usage to Electric. From the first video I was hooked by the infectious enthusiasm and all subsequent contact has been the same, I am a subscriber to the Kirk Hill Project and will subscribe to the next project with no qualms.

Ripple seem great and innovative and a joy to be part of, the updates are great and the team seem friendly. Systems work well and efficient, can't wait for this one to be up and running, and will be sure to invest in the future.

Easy to follow on the website what they are doing and why. And easy to sign up to as well. A good way to invest in a renewable supplier of electricity and also keep your bills down when the wind turbines are built.

Very straight forward no brainer investment look forward to it being built, so I get 2/3 from solar and opted for the other 1/3 via this

Excellent initiative to allow small end-user consumers to own pat of the green energy generation. I love telling our friends we part own a wind generator in South Wales and part own a windfarm being built in Southern Scotland.

I find Ripple very easy to deal with. One issue I had applying a referral credit (because I hadn't done it correctly) was dealt with efficiently. It will be a while until the wind farm is producing, but we have regular updates.
It is a great scheme to increase renewable, lower carbon emissions and reduce energy bills

So far so good. Ripple Energy have provided all the information I required, and I’m a happy investor in a slice of a green energy wind farm. Can’t wait for it to come on stream.

Met the team at fully charged live. Very friendly and professional group of people. Communication has been good since I began my investment. Looking forward to seeing the results when the wind farm is completed.

In the absence of national leadership to deliver the lowest-cost electricity for the UK via proven renewables onshore, Ripple have started to fill a cavernous void with energy (metaphorically and otherwise) and enthusiasm via an innovative fundraising structure that is actually making something happen. It's been terrific to deal with them over social media and their superb website and I look forward to the first electrons flowing later in 2023.
