An RHS-award-winning variety, 'Bramley's Seedling' (often referred to simply as 'Bramley') is renowned as being the best cooking apple out there.
Sharp, acidic flesh breaks down into a wonderfully smooth puree. This makes it perfect for apple pies, crumbles and cakes. It can also be used for juicing or ciders.
This variety has a long harvest period, from early September through to the end of October. They're excellent keepers - store right through to late winter (store in a cool, dark place to keep longer).
Not self-fertile (group 3). Needs another apple tree near to pollinate it. You can either purchase another, compatible tree or rely on there being one somewhere nearby (not unusual in urban areas).

You asked for a review before the tree arrived! And keep asking .... With regard to calue for money the tree is ok but no better than ones bought locally for a lot less. ( they didn't have this variety in stock)

Good strong plant, nice roots. Planted in a raised bed to accompany an existing Bramley as I need the cross pollination for fruits to form. Next to my mini orchard with Cherry Plum and Pear.

Good communication and packaging.. Not possible ti give a review as the tree was bare rooted and I won't know if it grows until spring and I won't know if it fruits well for a few years. Little point in keep asking me for a review as I really don't know, All I can say is it looked OK and was well packaged and delivery was well communicated.
