Didn't receive what I had even ordered

I ordered this dress for an event I was travelling interstate for, however was sent a completely different style dress. I reached out to Runway Scout, and again a second time 4 days later as I received no reply. On the third try to get in touch with someone, I received an email back to say 'return the dress, and we will refund you and the dress you ordered is out of stock and you'll have to wait 3 weeks to re-order once its back available'

EXTREMELY poor customer service, wont be recommending to anyone and too scared to shop here again. A lot of effort and stress for an error on their end, and no accountability or resolution offered.

Hi Nicole, thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to read your concerns. Please understand that as advised by email to you, we did not receive your original email you sent to us on the Sunday. You emailed us on 14 March and we replied the same day, explaining that unfortunately it was a warehouse allocation error, and even though you had worn the dress, we were more than happy to send you a prepaid returns label to send it back to us for free for a refund. We explained this on a couple of occasions to you via email, that we would refund you or alternatively, you could keep the dress you had worn, and we would send the correct style to you for free at no additional cost. I have checked your order notes and this is what we will be doing, even though we did not hear back from you regarding this. We will be sending you the correct dress for free when it's restocked. :-) I do hope this addresses your concerns, we have done our very best to make this right for you and to ensure our error could be rectified as easily as possible. We are so sorry to disappoint you, but please be assured we take full accountability for this error on our part, and offered two solutions for you. Thank you again for your feedback, if we can help further please feel free to reach out to us via email.

I purchased a few dresses for work events

I purchased a few dresses for some work events. The quality was so poor that I could not wear them as they were see-through and not appropriate for work wear. Upon trying to return my items, I was only offered a store credit. Something that I have had for over 12 months and am struggling to find anything I can actually spend my money on as I have so many doubts regarding the quality that I will be wasting my time with anything that I purchase. Very poor quality. Avoid at all costs.

I love the styles and things they sell

I love the styles and things they sell! Super nice customer service but I have to say that returns are impossible. Trying to return something from the US just ends up costing the exact same price as your item to begin with. Not worth it and very frustrating. So if you purchase from here you better hope that your item fits.

Quality is HORRIBLE

Quality is HORRIBLE, especially for the price.

I originally purchased because I wanted a two piece short set which looked so good on the site. When It came it was like it was made out of tissue paper and was very unflattering. Sadly this store doesn’t offer refunds so I had to take a credit note. Tried again with another purchase, these items were even worse!!! Now I have a $130 credit note I need to use.. I purchased a candle (figured they can’t screw that up) and “calia” knit for $100 (!!!). The quality was so bad. It’s thin, badly knitted, shape is off neck is too tight. It’s fine for wfh thankfully but a very expensive wfh jumper considering my others are $20 from Kmart and MUCH better. Wont ever be buying from this company again.

Not great quality for the price

Not great quality for the price.
Certain pieces are original designs, but others I have seen identical pieces elsewhere, meaning they are clearly sourced from cheaper manufacturers. I think it seems to be hit or miss.

Highly recommended Runway Scout!

I bought two dresses for two different events and wanted to get a range of style to suit the occasions. I took a leap of faith by ordering from a place that I had not heard of before but I loved the range of options at an affordable price. I am beyond impressed by the quality and very quick shipping. The dresses look and fit amazing, true to size. I sent them a DM on Instagram about the express shipping and how long it took, where I got a response back almost immediately. I went with the DHL express shipping to NZ, which was very quick even over Easter. I got a really nice email thanking me for my purchase which made me feel really good about choosing to shop with them too. Thank you Runway Scout for the awesome shopping experience, I looking forward to shopping with you again!

Do not buy anything from here if you…

Do not buy anything from here if you live in the US. Returning an item that doesn’t fit is a night mirror, cheapest way for sending an item to exchange is easily over $100. Now I’m stuck with an item that I will never be able to wear!
It’s very hard to communicate with them because you can only reach them via email.
It’s very unfortunate and disappointing to have experienced this with Runway Scout.
I’ve spent hundreds of dollars here and love most of the stuff (even though it’s all made in China).
I am willing to spend the extra $ for the unique styles at Runway Scout because you can’t really find these on Amazon (at least I haven’t searched for it).
Hopefully they get back to my email soon because they’ll lose a a true loyal customer.
Beware if you live in the US when you make a purchase here.

Hello! Thank you for your feedback and letting us know your concerns. I completely understand how frustrated you would be with the cost of return postage at the moment from the US to Australia. Unfortunately this is out of our control as the USPS has temporarily suspended First Class Package International Service and Priority Mail International delivery to Australia due to carrier issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, we are in current negotiations with a carrier in the US to collect our US returns parcels and forward them to us separately. This will be finalised very shortly so our US customers only need to send a parcel back domestically within the US rather than to Australia - this will save you hugely on time and money. We value your loyalty and feedback immensely and would love to help you out with this straight away. As it's the Easter long weekend here in Australia our customer care team are out of the office until Tuesday, but I can certainly assist straight away if you could please let me know your Order Number and I will get back to you over the long weekend to sort this for you. I follow this business (if you want to call it that) on Instagram and thought that I would buy a few things. I spend about $500 and was excited to receive my clothing. When I received my clothing I was shocked at how disgusting the quality is. Everything was so thin and completely different to the images shown on their website. Everything also stunk and was covered in loose threads.

Literally screams sweatshop!

I contacted them immediately and was refused a refund! And was told I could only receive a credit note!

This is actually against the law! I will be making a formal complaint with the ACCC

The owner keeps sending me an email to…

The owner keeps sending me an email to delete my review without taking my fair feedback as she thinks it's negative which I only wrote about the FACT that there is no way to contact them if they don't reply to the emails. I never asked about a full refund I would be happy to wait as long as they could track my parcel. The owner got back to me straight away after saw my review and offered me a full refund as they couldn't track my parcel which it seemed lost in the end.

This is what the owner sent me an email last night:

I just wanted to follow up and ask if you could please kindly remove the negative review you have left with us on Trust Pilot? We are small business of less than 10 people, and you may not understand the impact a negative review can have on a small business and the families it supports, let alone the mental health of those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to try and assist customers wherever possible. Please understand that we have not only lost the stock but also refunded you in full.

I just want to clarify the series of events for others who may read this review - on 7 December you asked for an update on your order, on Wednesday 8 December at 6pm our customer service team replied advising that for some reason your parcel was refused by customs in NZ and was being sent back to us. We advised we would be back in touch with you as soon as we heard back from DHL. You then emailed us on Sunday 12 December requesting an update. I replied to you on 14 December asking if you wanted a refund or credit note as it appeared DHL had misplaced your parcel, and you replied you wanted a refund. I processed your refund immediately and in full. I do apologise for not getting back to you sooner and we only have email and Instagram DMs as our main source of communication with customers. We are looking at implementing Live Chat soon so customers can speak with us instantly during business hours. I understand your frustrations and concerns, but hope you can see we have done as much as possible to assist you and respond as quickly as we could during the busiest period for retailers. Thank you.

10/10 customer service

10/10 customer service ! Ordered such a beautiful dress and came literally the next day I was shocked how quick it arrived unfortunately though size was no good for myself .I contacted customer service via email and was contacted back the very next morning after submitting it the night prior they were so lovely and understanding and not to mention the swift response 10/10 for customer service and the quality of the dress was wonderful.. beautiful linen & exactly how pictured was just sizing issues for myself so sadly could not keep but can’t thank them enough for restoring my faith with buying online x

Would have been 5* but for the fact I ordered two of the same dresses one in blue size 10 and one in white size 10 but they weren't actually the same size, somehow I think the white one was miss labeled and was actually a size six, it was a lot smaller, I can't wear its it's so short &too small but the blue one is great & a perfect fit, so is the other dress I ordered. So as long as I get a response to my email, which I sent as a faulty item email and I am able to buy another dress I will be happy. 🤞 Delivery service is outstanding in Qld 🙌 and the follow up after my first order was a great touch. So thank you for that. Look forward to hearing from you.

We do aim to reply to everyone within 24 hours however Xmas and NY's is a very busy time for us with customer service. I do apologise for this. We have already refunded you in full for your parcel, due to it being lost by Australia Post / Royal Mail. We now use DHL for all parcels to the UK, so this will not happen again. Thank you

I live in the US

I live in the US, purchased 3 items and wanted to return all 3, the price to ship the items I purchased back to Runway Scout was as much as the items I bought..not worth it, I wasn’t happy with the 2 dresses and top, so I tried to return them..now I’m stuck with these items I’ll never wear. No thank you…

In response to RunwayScouts reply, I absolutely did not receive the dress your speaking of for free, this was a dress I purchased and before it was shipped I asked if I could choose another dress and I was able to do that, I was refunded a dress before it was shipped if that’s what your talking about. Your mistaken, please look into this again..thanks for the effort in responding

Unfortunately USPS has suspended all mail services to Australia, this is beyond our control as could you appreciate being a US-government imposed restriction - and we are an Australian-based business. At the moment, US customers who want to send items to Australia via their national postal service can currently only use the more expensive Priority Mail Express International option. We did refund you for a dress which you kept, so you have received this item for free at a value of $68USD. Thank you again for your feedback and I hope you can understand that the cost of returning a parcel back from the US at the moment is beyond our control during these exceptional times.

I accidentally (on purpose 😂) ended up spending over $300 on my purchase and got 6 things!!!! The product was all incredible, the customer service was impeccable and the CEO’s love and attention was unmatched. I really hope the quality of product and service stays the same as this little business inevitably grows.

I had a fantastic experience with Runaway Scout. I messaged them with multiple questions around restocks and if my order would arrive in time for my event and they got back to me and were extremely helpful! My dress arrived within 2 days of ordering it! And I’m so happy with how it looks as well! Will definitely be shopping with them again. Highly recommend 😍
