Going into this course (STCW), I didn’t know what expect. But with James and Jon providing a wealth knowledge and experience, it makes for a welcoming and comfortable environment. The academy provides great facilities and safe equipment. Highly recommend using All Abroad to begin or further your sailing passion!

From arriving in Gibraltar the trainer James was welcoming and professional and made me feel reassured. I have learnt my strengths and weaknesses on this course and help has been on hand 24/7. The course content that I have studied and learnt has been excellent. During the practical element of the course we have been pushed to are limits to help us to succeed and be the best we can be to become competent crew. I would definitely recommend the training at Allabroad and will be coming back to complete more courses in the future.

I did the STCW course in Allabroad and I definitely not regret choosing it. It was a great training and learned so many new things with the instructors James and Jon. They both pushed me out of my comfort zone which I will always thank them for. I always felt trusted by them and supported as well. I would 100% recommend this academy to anyone looking to enter the industry.

I had an amazing experience at RYA ALLABROAD for my STCW SILVER PACKAGE. The two instructors we had (Jon & James), were very professional, always in a good mood, patient, we could ask them anything at any time, they would take the time you need to explain you everything.
All the course was perfectly organised, clear, and i had fun doing it.
The accommodation were perfect, as they're sailing boats in the Marina.
James is one of the best instructors i've had.
I will come back for sure for my YachtMaster course, eyes closed !

I just completed my STCW Silver course. I must say this was such a fun, motivating, positive week full of learning. All staff is friendly, kind, professional and have so much knowledge that they are happy to pass on. James was our instructor and I can hands down say he is the best instructor ive had. Calm, motivating, understanding and helpful.
I was very new coming into this industry and I left more confident and motivated than ever. Ill for sure be back. Can't reccomend this place enough. See you all again soon!

Simply an amazing experience and help no end by Robin who goes above and beyond to make the experience the very best it can be. It’s hard work but made fun by an incredible instructor. Very highly recommend.

I booked Allabroad to complete some sailing qualifications with two teenage sons based on a recommendation from a friend who had also used them but some years previous. I can honestly say that these guys are still fantastic on all levels. James was very helpful and flexible with scheduling to allow us to complete our Day Skipper and VHF and Powerboat (2) in the space of 8 days. Although James is the front man - all the back office team couldn't have done more for us. A big thank-you must go to our skipper - Robin Sermon - the kindest and most helpful chap there is. If you are allocated Robin as skipper then you are very lucky! Not only did we complete our qualifications but we had enormous fun doing so. He lead us to some of the most amazing back street restaurants - Churros in Ceuta, Fish in Estepona. It was a great experience and some great memories were created.

I did the one month, gold package. So so grateful for James and Jason for the first week, STCW course. Both absolute legends who made the fire and sea survival so much fun! James was super helpful throughout the month and always reachable. Very professional demeanour, would absolutely recommend!
I’ll definitely be back here when it comes time to do my yachtmasters 🤗 thanks again guys!

The best and most advanced course i have been on. Realistic teaching with ideal environments to learn in. instructors James and Jason take amazing care of you and teach like professionals. Always there to help.

Had an amazing day with Jamie who taught me all the skills to pass my level 2 powerboat. He was very patient, explained things clearly and made the 2 days loads of fun.

Just finished one of the most exciting and enjoyable weeks at Allabroad Sailing Academy. I could not recommend this academy enough. The silver package which offers the STCW, powerboat level 2, VHF and food safety was taught exceptionally and catered to each one of the groups needs. Both Jayson and James have been vital on this journey. The accommodation which I stayed in, was one of the sailing boats which were in great condition and perfect location for teaching. If I wasn’t sure that this was the industry for me, this week has definitely clarified that this industry is where I want to be! Allabroad teaching was top tier but so was the connection that was formed between all of the members on various courses and with the instructors, which is what makes this academy so good.

James and Jason were incredibly supportive and had an abundance of knowledge on everything taught through the week. Trying to get into the industry can be intimidating, but with their support and experience, James and Jason truly do the most to set one up for what’s next.

Everyone was extremely professional with the perfect balance of humor. I couldn’t have asked for a better week of training and came out confident and prepared. ASA was amazing and even provided one on one CV work and great advice.

I had an excellent experience with Jason and James on STCW + Powerboat + VHF this week.

Our group of ~8 students of different background and countries bonded well. We were mostly women - a big highlight! Most of us stayed on the Allabroad sailboats which was very convenient.

The practical sections of the STCW were brilliant. Firefighting in particular - J and J taught with tremendous respect and experience, and invited us to go in very deep yet still within safe parameters. The fire sim experience I will never forget - and for that, I think I’ll be braver and definitely more ready if a real fire happens.

I appreciate that Jason and James have been very clear, patient, attentive, accommodating with all students - holding the line on expectations and giving clear feedback continuously. While delivering on the necessary course work ASA’s STCW does not feel “one size fits all” and they adapt well to the group - finding ways to challenge each person too.

On Powerboat, Jason spent extra time to ensure we each had enough reps and created some extra scenarios to put our skills into practice.

I'd like to give a full recommendation for allabroad sailing academy.

So I've been to a few schools now and I have to say Allabroad Sailing Academy was by far the best.

If you want to achieve a Yachtmaster or any other RYA qualification and commercial endorsements. get yourself over to Allabroad Sailing Academy.

The instructors are awesome, whatever your ambitions are they'll get you there, and you'll have a real good time doing it.

Gibraltar offer something no other school does. When you're not on the water you'll be doing heaps of great things.

6 weeks after completing my course with ASA, I have found myself attending multiple interviews with super yachts and have secured my first offer with a vessel I am most keen and comfortable to come onboard. Allabroad perfectly tows the line of professionalism and friendliness. Ensuring an excellent standard of safety and tuition whilst providing a relaxed environment in which to learn and meet people. All the staff I encountered were there for the right reasons, Jason pulling out all the stops in tandem with Claire to make things run smoothly as well as excellent instruction from Roger, James and Hailey. Overseen by the chief Instuctor Miles who created the friendly atmosphere and great pastoral care for students. Highly recommend.

Very professional and well explained. Could do with more space but there where many students and we managed well. Well worth it. Good accommodation option in Ka Alcaidesa port on floating boat houses.

Did my STCW refresher with James. I thought I was going in for your run of the mill classroom crash course, instead I walked away with lifelong leadership skills and confidence in not only the content but in myself. Jason and James went above and beyond to help me inside and outside the classroom and I can't thank them enough. Recommended.
