I have just completed the silver STCW package at Allabroad Maritime Sailing Acadamy. This package has set me up perfectly to apply for jobs in the Yatching industry. I would recommend Allabroad because there was plenty of facilities and equipment required for the course, plus additional perks such as training on the airfield for the fire safety and staying on a sailing boat during the one week course.

I would like to thank James and Jason for providing me with this once in a lifetime experience. They were extremely helpful and had first hand experience concerning the topics covered, providing the students with depth knowledge.

Everybody on the course was also really friendly and I am excited to see them all over the world!

This course massively exceeded my expectations. Mainly from the professionalism and incredible in-depth knowledge from James and Jason who have both had first hand experience in these areas they are teaching you. I think they should teach these life saying technics at school and not bloody algebra!!

Did the superyacht silver package here and absolutely loved it. The course was more intense than I thought it would be, but all the better for it..... some of the courses really pushed us to our limits haha. James the course instructor was a legend and really made the course engaging, very helpful post course too with regard to CV and connections in the industry. They were also really accommodating when it came to covid arrangements, keeping everything green list for us and staying on a boat in Ocean Village marina was brilliant as it's such an amazing location and literally opposite the school. Definitely recommend the silver package over the basic one, if anything just for the powerboat L2 course which is 2 days on a fantastic little boat. Will definately be coming back here for any RYA courses in the near future!

I recently attended James Holman's course to acquire my STCW95 certificate.
James is a splendid instructor/tutor.
His presentation of theory is informative, interesting, engaging and above all clear/to the point.
In the practical course elements, he truly excels; instilling the self-confidence within his delegates that enables them to undertake the stressful exercises successfully.
I have been a Mariner, in one form or another, for thirty years and have attended several courses of this nature, I can say in all honesty James is the best instructor on this topic that I have experienced.
Strongly recommended.

Worthy of additional note:- The booking procedure for the course was a simple hassle-free process and was very well handled by the staff associated with it.

Completed my STCW training with Allabroad and I cannot fault the experience. My course was postponed on several occasions due to COVID restrictions, but James and the team were extremely helpful from the get-go, always answering my questions up until the day I FINALLY made it to Gibraltar! This only instilled confidence. The course itself was the perfect balance of classroom and hands-on learning, meaning that we were always kept on our toes. From his years of experience and expertise, James had a lot of knowledge to share which did not go unnoticed. I truly believe that this is an STCW course like no other, and I am extremely grateful to the team at Allabroad for being so accommodating. I am now happily working in the yachting industry. Thank you, you’re the best!

Fantastic James the instructor and his side kick Hayden simply are the best team to take this stcw course in Europe helpful in more ways than one and if you are starting out in yachting then they will give you vital tips of the industry or like me retaking the course to continue yachting thank you guys so much fun had. J

I have recently completed the STCW course run by Allaboard Sailing Academy. The instructor did a fantastic job making the course as interesting as possible and educational at the same time. I'll be sure to head back to Allaboard Sailing Academy for any future courses as the entire experience was very professional.

Excellent STCW course with James. As professional delivery crew, it’s by far the best, most comprehensive course I’ve taken. James is an ex-firefighter, medic & helicopter winchman so the information is practical with real life scenarios from his experience. It’s made me a safer crew member. Highly recommended.
