Efficient and friendly service from a locally-based company with a great choice of cottages.

Will be booking for next year.
I have not had a holiday booked or even contacted Sally’s Cottages as yet, I just wanted to say on reading all the reviews I was very impressed.
I have just had a terrible experience and lost a lot of money with a holiday firm, I have been looking and come across Sally’s Cottages, I have seen your adverts on fb and just want to say that I will be browsing your holiday cottages for next year and will definitely be booking.

Excellent service at Sally's Cottages
Sally's Cottages always offer excellent customer service and continue to do so during this particularly stressful period. Their friendly staff are always ready to help. I recommend without hesitation!

Sally's Cottages 👍
Not really one to write reviews, but during lockdown I'm trying to complement those companies/businesses that do what they say they are going to do, and more!
Sally's Cottages are great. Lots of accommodation choices in a truly amazing part of the world. Their whole service, from bookings, to questions, to followup, is really good. Although most companies make promises, these guys (girls) actually deliver.

We've just booked a cottage for September and it couldn't have been easier to do it. All the information we needed was easy to find and the whole process was super slick. Can't wait to come and stay now. I'll be recommending you to my friends.

We could rebook due to corona virus but…
We could rebook due to corona virus but we had 3 places booked for the same time originally 14 days. Rebooking meant we had to go for a different time of year as they had allowed shorter bookings to rebook before us. Which meant rebooking for a more expensive time and nearly £1000 extra expenses. I want them to do well and continue but maybe a bit more thought should have gone into the rebooking policy. We have had to pay about £1000 to go at the same time as only the peak times were available for all 3 original bookings. Maybe looking at long bookings should have been the priority? We have been bumped by weekend bookings although we originally booked for a fortnight. Their refund policy needs to be clearer.

Great Service
With everything going on at the moment it was really easy to transfer to next year. Great service.

What a lovely company
What a lovely company. They've made a really difficult situation so much easier to bear. The cottage owner wouldn't return our deposit (turns out it's the prerogative of the owner, and not Sally's Cottages'), BUT we were assured that we can either reschedule for later this year, lockdown permitting, OR select the same week next year and transfer the deposit to either booking. Phew.

Delighted to hear back from Sally's Cottages so quickly and that I can transfer my stay.
I have always enjoyed my visits to the lakes and having a holiday to look forward to has really lifted my spirits.
We are in difficult times and I thank Sally's team and the cottage owners for working through what I am sure are many emails and wish everyone good health .
Best Wishes

Great response in a crisis
I've stayed with Sally's Cottages quite a few times over the years, and have always been impressed by their great customer service and can-do attitude when things go wrong (floods, broken leg...). With this latest crisis they haven't disappointed. It's horrible to have to cancel a holiday, and they've made it as easy as it could possibly be in the circumstances. It must be very hard at the moment for small businesses like this - there's a rush for everyone to claim what they can, and anxious people get angry very quickly. I can't even imagine how complicated it is to deal with all the enquiries and figure out the legalities. So, thanks Sally's Cottages for your fairness and professionalism in this. Best wishes, Katie.

Really glad that we could book for next year. Obviously disappointed that we will have to holiday at home this year but at least we have something to look forward to next May.

Always had good customer service from…
Always had good customer service from Sally’s cottages used them many times in the past but had a holiday booked in my name for my father paid on his card. Given the alternatives defer till next year or claim on holiday insurance. Who takes out holiday insurance for a trip that’s only a couple of hours drive away? As my father is elderly he does not want to defer the holiday till next year. I asked for their set email they’re sending out to be put in the post only to be told they are working from home and that isn’t possible! As mentioned my father is trying to reclaim the money from his card but if this is not possible I will be taking this matter further. Shame on you Sally’s cottages you have gone down in my estimation and I will be reluctant to use you in the future.

Superb service
I had no insurance so I wasn't expecting anything at all and wasn't even going to bother to get in touch, but they actually emailed me and asked if I'd like to transfer my dates - I was due to come at the start of May. So thank you so much. I'll book again.

Excellent customer service
Had a booking for May this year but due to the current situation we were uncertain as to whether we would be able to go. 3 emails later and without any issue Sallys have rebooked us for next year. Cannot fault the customer service of this company in these difficult and uncertain times. Those people slating this company should take a chill pill and think about how ridiculous they're being. They booked for a holiday, why not just rebook for another time later in the year or next year as prices are near enough the same, give yourself something to look forward to. Thank you Sallys Cottages.

Show some compassion.
I have been using Sally’s Cottages almost every year for more than 20 years. Every single place we have booked through them has been perfect.
Every year they have returned our security deposit without question. They are an excellent business in every respect and 100% honest. Like everyone else, we have paid for a holiday this year that may of may not take place. I am absolutely stunned by the disgusting and disgraceful reviews left by people in response to the present Covid19 situation. These will be the same people no doubt who are accepting the generous assistance from the Government; accepting the help provided by Building Society’s with payment holidays and much other financial assistance. We are said to be in this altogether so how about giving a bit of help to others in return. How about being a little bit more generous in nature instead of making the horrible disgraceful and dishonest comments that have been made. Quite clearly this firm is going to suffer and struggle considerably due to a situation that is not of their making. A good business built up with hard work over many years. I don’t care if I’m entitled by law to a cash refund, I’d rather let them give me a voucher for future use. In fact, if it means they are still around this time next year so I can book my holiday, they can keep my money. It’s fine to write negative reviews when those reviews are fair. Show some compassion for Gods sake.

Can't commend Sally's Cottages too highly
Can't commend Sally's Cottages too highly for their treatment over our booking for the week starting 8th May. We didn't have insurance so I really thought we would lose everything. But they were so well organised and offered us our pick of any other week. Can't wait to go later on in the year now. So, nothing but praise as far as we're concerned.
