Sorry to hear Scallywag ended up like this

I am now wanting to sell my Scallywag highsleepers which I bought about 8 or 9 years ago and they are strong sturdy beds. Would carry on but kids are adults now. I just found this. So sorry to hear they have gone into liquidation. These beds are brilliant and kids would have enjoyed them.

Whaooo! How could you??

Whaooo!! Another scam! £850 for my sons bed. Almost a months salary..tears are not enough...Its so painful.
1st mistake..i didnt check the reviews.
2nd mistake the beds looked so nice ,I quickly paid with my debit card expecting and expecting...
and even YOU trust pilot? What is your benefit? What checks do you have in place? Just dont know what to do...dumbfounded. feel like a FOOL..

Would appear I have been duped like…

Would appear I have been duped like everyone else. Ordered at the beginning of March with a delivery date of April 8th. No communication post my order confirmation, subsequent attempts to reach them have gone unanswered.

Assuming they have no interest in everyone’s comments if they have gone into administration.

I sold my child’s previously cot to make way for her highly anticipated mid sleeper… to say she is disappointed is an understatement.

Shame on you Scallywags! How aptly named you are!

Same negative experience as seen on here took £596 end of April bed was supposed to be delivered this week and received email stating they gone into liquidation I won’t be receiving refund or bed and they where still trying to sell products that evening and the morning after I received my email disgusting

Thieving Scallys

Company kept taking orders even though they knew they couldn't deliver goods and sent out emails saying they won't refund. Its funny how they didn't have the time to answer phonecalls to customers chasing orders but had the time to complain to trust pilot about reviews being left. Its not hard to research the new company...!!!!They pride themselves on being a family run business and I bet the next generation will run that into the ground too

Thieves

Thieves! Took £636 knowing they were going into liquidation. Disabled daughter now sleeping on the floor on a mattress. Disgusting. I hope they sleep well knowing a 7 year old now gets to sleep on the floor until we can save for a replacement.

Gone into liquidation but still taking peoples money

Paid for a bed & mattress 29th March. Received confirmation of the purchase, estimated delivery date 23-25th April. Today (22nd April) received an email saying they’ve gone into liquidation. Worst is, their website is still up and running so unsuspecting people could still be buying things that they will never get. You don’t go into liquidation overnight so you probably shouldn’t have even took my money a month ago. That’s £596 I’ve lost and that’s A LOT of money to me. Single part time mom.

Company into liquidation. DO NOT ORDER.

Same as everyone here unfortunately. Ordered end of March for a mid-end April delivery. Date come and gone. No response to calls, emails, and web chat.

Just received an email to say they have "instructed Insolvency Practitioners to assist with placing the company into creditors voluntary liquidation." and to try and get a refund as they have no money to do so.

Have logged a refund with PayPal. Gotta wait longer now for that to happen, and find another bed for my sons birthday which is in 2 weeks time. Not ideal!

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

Still no bed 3 weeks after estimated delivery and zero customer service

This company has terrible customer service and I’m now starting to suspect cannot fulfil people’s orders. I ordered a cabin bed and furniture start of March, estimated delivery beginning of April. It still hasn’t arrived as of 23rd April and worse still I have had no response or contact from them since 5th April when they told me they were waiting on timber and the bed will be made next week then despatched on Friday 12th. Since the call on the 5th April, I have received no further updates, I have tried to call and nobody answers the phone and have had no response to emails. Based on my experience I would not recommend using this company and it seems I am not alone looking at the number of other people in a similar situation.

Update 23/4/24 pm: received an email from Scallywags this afternoon stating the company have taken steps to go into voluntary liquidation. No products will be shipped to customers and no refunds given to customers. Their website is still online as of this afternoon, but there is no mention of them taking these steps so my advice would be DO NOT PLACE ANY ORDERS with them

minus 5 stars

if there was a minus 5 stars for this company I would give it to them. We spent a lot of money on a bed and had HALF of the delivery. What are we meant to do with that. No one contacts you, no one replies it's just awful. I am at my wits end with them. Terrible human beings for letting this happen to hard working people.

We ordered a bed on 22 Mar and was told…

We ordered a bed on 22 Mar and was told it would be arrive last week. No bed, no communication. Tried to get a hold of customer service and they have gone radio silent. Have done some digging - looks like while the old company has gone into liquidation, it has gone under new management as of last year under Mays Hill Manufacturing which is still active. Have reached out to the owners of this company to try and find out what's going on and whether they have stolen our money. Please do not order from this website!!

Wrong bed - no answers

I ordered the original bunk bed with straight ladder and drawers, on the 18 of February.
Everything went ok. People always reply to email messages, website chat available even on Sundays...perfect!
Then close to the due date of delivery they postpone it, because of a problem/delay in manufacturing.
Receive the bed in the beginning of Abril. I was away so was assembled 1 week later and found out that the straight ladder was not the correct one, since it goes until the floor, so one of the drawers does not open.
Send several chat and emails messages, phone calls, and nothing. I'm also not able to open their facebook page.
Does anyone really knows whats going on? On the GOV website found information that CRESTA MANUFACTURING COMPANY (HUDDERSFIELD) LIMITED / Company number 00564759, is in liquidation... Is it the same?

Same as everyone else, ordered and paid, but not heard back for 1.5 months since my order (with an expected delivery date of 12th of April).

One question though, how do you get a refund on a debit card since there's nobody to pick up and process your request?

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. Sadly another similar review. Company seems to have disappeared and taken our money. Bed and mattress ordered 10th March. Delivery confirmed for 4th-8th April. No sign of order or any word since. I have tried calling and left voicemail messages. I have also emailed the company and received no replies. Attempting to get a refund without success so far.

Looks like company has closed, DO NOT USE!!

Expected delivery was 16-18th April. Bed hasn’t arrived and unable to get in touch with anyone via call, email or web chat. I called and spoke to a company on the same business estate who confirmed their shutters are down and padlocked. Looks like this company has gone under. I’ve requested a refund through my credit card company, suggest anyone else in the same situation does the same.

Same experience as all the recent reviews below. Nothing received to date, order placed on 19 Feb. Special delivery letter I sent is unsigned for, their Facebook page has been taken down. Which can only mean one thing, really.
