We bought a ScratchyCats cat post in November 2017, it was a bit more expensive than some others, but company was promising a really good quality. I think it has exceeded the expectations. It lasted 9 years with 3 cats using it. The bottom part started to be wobbly, rope is worn and used here and there, but I'm sure it could last another few months or a year. However, seeing such a great quality, also improved posts we decided to get a new one and just ordered from ScratchyCats another one. Well done guys, we're happy that we purchased the post from you 9 years ago, and I'm sure we will be happy with the new one now too!

Outstanding quality and so easy to assemble. Robust scratching towers that are standing up to her sharp claws and the padded platforms means that has become her place to rest during the day.

Cat loves it and will definitely be thinking of another design request to get another one for her. Always appreciate when can buy from family business that care in the products they create.

Last year I bought a Scratchycats cat tree for two male kittens, who needed something they could expend their energy on. They love it and constantly compete for the top spot! They’ve also since left the furniture alone so it’s been a good investment. Even after heavy use it looks as good as new due to its high quality, durability and easy maintenance.

Initial impressions of products are always handy, however I've waited some time to see how the tree I purchased would hold up before I reviewed it. I purchased my cat tree last March and I can honestly say it looks almost the same as when it arrived. My 2 cats use it quiet heavily and the sisel rope has held and not shredded. I purchased another tree from a big box store at the same time and in comparison this tree the sisel is shredded and falling off. The biggest thing I was concerned about is my cats are 4.5kg and 5.5kg and most trees that I could buy are made for light kittens. My cats like to zoom about at full speed so there is always the risk of them tipping the tree over. The base of this tree is sturdy and a good weight and even at full speed jumping about they've not knocked it over. Overall, I will definitely be ordering from Scratchy Cats again, and now that I have seen how the tree performs over the last year will likely place a custom order too!

We are loving them both, please don’t give up. The quality is top notch, they will last for years. So well worth the cost as I won’t be replacing them for a long time.

This is exactly what my cats needed! Tall enough to give them security, stable enough to kick-off with each other and no tilting or falling over. Tall enough for a full body stretch and shimmy up to bed. And Martin was a star, I couldn't ask for more. Thank you so much.

Fantastic experience all round! I wanted something custom, combining two elements of their regular products. Martin was so helpful and created exactly what I’d imagined. It’s the cutest cat tree I’ve ever seen and it makes me smile every time I look at it. Really sturdy for scratching and jumping too. So much better than the wobbly ones you buy in the shops and it’s great to know it’s made in the UK. Most importantly, my cat loves it! Sleeping, scratching, playing… he does it all here!

We received the scratching post this morning and with a little sprinkle of cat nip to encourage him, Oliver immediately got stuck in! He stretched up almost to his full length, wrapped himself around the pole and had a good scratch at the base too. He looked so contented.

Sometimes Oliver is wary of new things but the very day after receiving it he took to sleeping on the bed too. He soon realised how comfortable it was; it fitted him perfectly, and slept for hours. Not too big and not too small!

He likes to scratch both horizontally and vertically so the design could not be any better. Other companies don't offer a rope base so I think Scratchy Cats really understand what some cats need. The base is big enough for him to sit comfortably on too!

It is a work of art so looks great with our furniture also! It does not stand out too much but gives Oliver what he needs also. The attention to detail shows and I know I have bought absolute quality that will last.

Other scratching posts are too light and short so end up being false economies eventually ending up as landfill. Scratchy Cats is the most eco-friendly and cost effective solution out there; I know it will last years.

The rope is excellent European sourced quality; lovely and scratchy for claws to get a good grip into for sharpening and cleaning. Materials are sourced within the UK or as close to as possible reducing air miles an pollution too.

The packaging was brilliant too; I could tell Scratchy Cats have got that down to a fine art now! Everything arrived safely and with no movement.

I'm so happy to support a small UK business too. I think it is important to keep craftsmanship and skilled work alive.

I ordered a custom made cat tree for my rescue cat who is long and weighs 6.1kg. It took a little while to get the design right but once it was made and delivered safely it was easy to assemble on my own. The instructions were clear. My cat is a climber and this has helped satisfy his need to be as high as possible in my living room. The product is strong, well-made and looks smart. It should last for many years. If you order from ScratchyCats be prepared to wait; my order took a couple of months from initial enquiry to delivery. It's worth waiting for.

It really is a one time buy but you’ll end up wanting one in every room of your house.
Which I’m so close to doing at this rate.

They wouldn’t accept delivering our item less than perfect.
Great attention to detail and real care for their customers.

Most cat trees you see from commercial shops or online are as flimsy as a loo roll tube and fall apart within a year or two.
And if you want replacement parts your gonna have to buy the whole thing again.

What’s great about this business is that they make everything from scratch and custom and do offer replacement parts. Which is really useful for us to know as our tree is going to see lots of wear and tear from our feral rescues. Don’t think we’d need any replacements for a while though because of how good a quality our tree is.

It really is a good investment especially during these difficult economic times. You’ll spend a bit more to get a product but it will last you 3x as long and is really blooming sturdy and you can get the trees much taller than most commercial ones. I definitely saw it as a good buy.

I’ve never seen our rescue so happy since she’s used the tree. She’s been through an aweful lot and hip surgery and she’s still able to safely make it up there after a few weeks rest.

Absolutely brilliant scratch poles for our two large ragdoll pussycats, Verity and Cordelia, they both love them! We have gone through many of these with our girls but these are definitely built to last and are so well made and aesthetic you will be proud to have them on view. No need to look elsewhere these are the best and Martin who makes them is extremely polite and knowledgable. Well done!

Having unable to find a decent scratching post in the shops. I came across Scratchy Cats online. What a wonderful range of posts they make. They may seem a little pricey on first glance, however I ordered one, what a brilliant product, and worth every penny. 10 out of 10 for product and service.

I think I ordered my first scratch post from Scratchy cats around 2012, I have to say I have tried many mass manufactured post for my previous cats. They lasted a matter of weeks!, they soon began to unravel, cheap materials split and the cheap plywood would soon be exposed, useless waste of money!.
I found Scratchy cats on line around 2012?, bought an extra large one, all posts are hand made with the best quality materials.
My boy cat Lorca is really able to stretch up to the top of the post and takes no prisoners!, he is really brutal with the post, the top of the post is just wide enough for him and his sister to sit on!… not at the same time however!.
They are without doubt the best posts we have ever bought!, I think they represent excellent value for money.
Seven years!!!after I bought my first post, I ordered a new one because some of the sisal had started to unravel, nothing major, but we went back to scratchy cats and bought another one - absolutely as before, just brilliant now I’am about to order my 3rd post! 6 years later, because again due to my boy giving the post daily abuse at least 3-4 times a day!
He is also an outdoor cat, my little girl is mostly indoors, but, she loves a good scratch too!,lola sits on top of post to get away from her brother!

I was so delighted to find this company on line lots of new beautiful products. It’s still a husband and wife team only.
I love supporting British businesses and buying from scratchy supports that.
They have survived such difficult times, including the pandemic.
It really is a fantastic story.
Anyway don’t even think twice about buying from this company this will be post number 3 and so happy to be supporting this business again.
