Excellent quality scratching post - an instant success with our cats. Dave has never taken to inferior, cheaper, scratching posts (waste of money) and always preferred the edge of the sofa :(.
When he is not playing on it, or scratching his claws he likes to sleep on the bottom of it.

These trees are brilliant! Having purchased one nearly a year ago which our kittens loved climbing up & sleeping in ( it’s still loved and in excellent condition) we went for the tallest one ( great that i could choose matching beds to go with the first- the beds are perfect for 2 cats that like to sleep together: great shape & very sturdy sides) and now they love climbing up that. The poles are a perfect size for scratching and for them to get enough purchase to climb. The beds are obviously very comfortable & the sturdy sides mean the cats can also use those to climb up/over! They like nothing more than to chase up the tree after their toy mice are thrown on to the top bed. The whole thing is extremely sturdy allowing the perfect combination of play and sleep. The platforms are positioned brilliantly ( not too low) so they use them as well to jump up/climb. Which means there are no wasted/unused parts as has been the case with trees from elsewhere. The ordering process is simple and you are kept well informed of supply dates. I thoroughly recommend this great company and their products. Also good that it is a family run independent business.

Thank you so much for our 2 cat trees. They are perfect, amazing quality and great size for our Siberian cats. They absolutely love them and they look like they will last for several years to come.

Happened to be looking back through my Etsy purchases and was reminded that I bought one of these scratching posts for our two cats 7 years ago. As it is STILL going strong thought it was about time to write a review! The cats both love it - the height (about 1 metre) is perfect, it doesn't wobble, there's been no unravelling whatsoever . The previous post lasted barely a year before falling apart. These ones may be a bit more expensive than many, but it is honestly worth the investment. A fantastic, sturdy, nice looking and long lasting product.

My girls are very timid and very anxious at the moment as I've just moved house.I ordered from the original range,the scratch pole and tub bed and thought they wouldn't go near it at least for a few days as they are always very suspicious of anything new. The package arrived on Friday afternoon and on Friday evening they were fighting over it !! They have taken to it straight away. The quality and workmanship is brilliant! I'm so pleased with it. I wouldn't hesitate to order again and I'm sure I will be ordering another one very soon !!!

Contacted Martin initially, about what appeared to be an expensive product compared with the general market. He was extremely helpful and obviously very knowledgable. Ordered from the value range. This arrived very securely and properly packed. The quality and workmanship is absolutely superb, and worth every penny- would not buy again elsewhere. This confirms the adage --" You get what you pay for " The cat absolutely loves it.

Brilliant quality scratching post at almost a metre tall my boys Hawk and Albert love to have a good old scratch on this - it's so sturdy and solid - such an excellent valued product. Looks good with the purple knitted mouse too :-)

I have now bought two cat trees, in different styles, and a scratching post from Scratchy cats. The build quality is excellent. Everything has been very easy for one person to put together, and in a few minutes too. The material is durable and the rope on the scratching posts are still not showing any wear. I would highly recommend scratchy cat products and so would the cats.

Really looking forward to receiving the new large scratching post for Finn and Poppy my two Birman cats. The first scratching post was purchased 3 years ago when they were kittens (to which I might add they have used continually!!) together with a large cat tree with two beds which is exceptional . Both products have been excellent with superb build quality not to mention the safety aspects which are second to none. I cannot recommend Martin and Clare highly enough for their help and expertise and wish them every continued success with ScratchyCats.

I ordered the biggest cat scratchypost I could find for my (rescue) Bengal's 5th birthday.
The item arrived within about ten days, much sooner than expected. It's top notch and I expect should last a lifetime.

We are absolutely over the moon with our custom cat bed/tree! Martin was exceptional from start to finish and designed the perfect solution to fit our space.

This isn't just a cat tree, it's a durable and stylish piece of cat furniture that looks wonderful in our living room! We love the modular design and the fact that we can purchase replacement components is a great selling point - not that we expect to anytime soon as the quality is so high! No more buying beds or posts that only last a few months before looking tatty or becoming unusable. Scratchy Cats products are at another level and well worth the money for the quality and customer service you will receive.

UPDATE - after a year of cat love/abuse, the wonderful custom dual bed/scratch post you created for us is still looking AMAZING! Your promise that it will never unwind is without doubt proven! Both the beds and the supporting platforms still look as good as new too, despite their frequent use.

By now we would have easily gone through numerous posts/beds from other retailers. This means we are saving money AND being kinder on the environment - wish we found you sooner!

Incredible service and a quality product.

I contacted them directly as I wanted a particular cat tree but with a different bed. They said that whilst they could do this they’d recommend a different model instead based on my kitten’s breed and size. The other model was cheaper too, so wasn’t just up selling! Arrived without too much of a wait (which considering I ordered during a global pandemic and Brexit conclusion was no small feat) and was easy to assemble and very sturdy. My kitten is now 5kg and can still comfortably wrestle his sister on it without me worrying about it toppling over.

My 12 year old rescue Ragdoll has had his platform for almost 5 years and it looks as good as new. It was made to order with a slightly heavier base because of his size. Of course, these trees are more expensive but they are top quality, made to last and parts can be individually replaced. The only downside for me was that the fleece cover on the platform cannot be removed for washing. I would never buy a cat tree from anywhere else.

Having had my cat trees for several years I can honestly say that I would not buy from anywhere else. They are sturdy, do not tip, and look good. Our cats love them.

I stumbled upon ScratchyCats after trawling in vain through Google, for cat furniture that was going to last.

The scratching post/platform bed arrived in perfect condition, being very snugly packed and went together so quickly and logically, I only needed the instructions to check my working. The fleece is not too shaggy and beautifully soft that I hesitated putting a familiar scented jumper in the top bed for her. However, after a pat on the middle step our old-lady cat was up to the top like a shot and making biscuits. Only 45mins after delivery, she curled up with a very unladylike snore.

As picky as cats are, we're staggered that she has taken to it so well! Like many these days, my partner and I spend alot of time at home on the PC and we have set it up nearby so she can keep an eye on us from one side and the garden from the other. She seems to love it and if she's sold, we're sold.

Our cat will be 13 this year and naturally, is getting quite creaky. We didn't want her to miss out on the catty things she likes to do though, as she still seeks to hangout with us and elevated at any opportunity. The combination of steps up to the full bed height is perfect, as when she starts getting uncomfortable she can take these at her own pace without the big leaps and drops she might have made a few years ago. I was so happy to see it in some of these designs.

Finally, a big thanks also to owner/maker Martin for also reassuring me about my recent change of address mistake, following my anxious phone messages.

If you're considering buying a cheaper scratch post from a mass manufacturer- don't! You won't regret spending a little bit more for a handmade Scratchy cat tree. Our kitten absolutely loves his tree, and we will be ordering a post soon too. We ordered a tree in charcoal grey and it looks really slick and stylish, unlike many of the ones you see in pet shops. I also love the fact that if any part gets more worn (which I can't imagine happening for a very long time, you can simply buy a replacement part and not the whole thing again, so it's a super sustainable approach. You're also supporting a small family business when you buy from here who seem lovely from their fast and thoughtful communication.

I had a great experience ordering from scratchy cats. Not only are the posts beautifully made, the customer service was excellent and really friendly. It’s a lovely family run business and the products I received are of a fantastic quality.
I bought two posts from scratchy cats and both incredible heavy and strong, perfect for my growing Maine Coon. The choice of colours and type of post is great too. I will most certainly be ordering from them again in the future.

I purchased a cat tree from scratchycats, all I can say is it's excellent.
My cat is of a plump size (fat) and there posts and trees really stand up to floppsies weighty nature.
Very well packaged.

I have brought around 5 cat trees from scratchycats over the years, amazing robust quality builds. I love that you can custom design your cat tree from colours to hight and even custom build one. I requested a custom build cat tree house its on their Instagram and website so check it out you will see the amazing craft Martin produces. He is very talented and no idea is too far fetched he is happy to help on idea you throw at him.
The cat trees I brought a few years ago are still going strong from my old previous flat to my new house, the sisal rope has not come apart or freyed they look good as new!

Iv had no issues with them and highly Recommend them too all cat lovers you won't be disappointed, infact it's unfortunately made my cats cat tree snobs now they won't except any standards but scratchycats :)

Very fair affordable pricing, remember you get what you pay for if you want quality you need to pay a little bit more but its 100% worth it mine are still going years on the workmanship and quality stands the test of time.

All my cat trees iv have purchased always get comments from friends and family they love the designs as they are bright and eye-catching but look so lovely in the home, no tacky freyed shop brought cat trees these are masterpieces.

Lastly Martin and Claire are such lovely polite business owners, nothings too much trouble and they will always update you every step of the way which many companies do not, they make you feel valued as a customer, lovely business lovely people.

10/10 company please support them.
