I bought one of the original scratch posts for our cat Mr Tucci. He’s a big cat and it was great to choose the height as he can now stand on his hind legs and have a good scratch. The build quality is superb. He trashed his old one in just a few weeks but this one is much more robust and doesn’t move when he puts his full weight into it! Would highly recommend Scratchy Cats.

Incredible. I am so pleased with our cat beds/post. I had previously purchased a cat post back in 2020 and that’s still going strong. What an exceptionally well constructed scratching post. In a different league to many other products and with different size options. Just what I needed for our large tall cat! Looks like it will last for many years and all from a small family company. Highly recommended.

The scratching post is so much better than I expected and extremely sturdy! The platform and base material is so plush and far better quality than anything I’ve had from high street stores or Amazon previously. The customer service I received was fantastic and I highly recommend supporting this small business!

Scratchy Cats are the feline equivalent of Rolls-Royce. I designed a custom cat tree for my 6 kg rescue ragdoll, as he is a big (not fat!) boy and doesn't really fit on any other cat "furniture" I've ever seen, from cheap Chinese trees to larger scratching posts. Martin very quickly looked over the design, set a very reasonable price given the work involved, and has proceeded to make a truly fantastic product. It arrived beautifully packaged in two cardboard boxes, and I hadn't finished assembling it before the feline king had arrived to survey his new territory. The wood is beautiful – it's higher quality than a lot of office furniture – and the rope scratchers will obviously last a very, very long time, are very well made, and are both interchangeable on the design (meaning that they can be wear-levelled) and separate replacements are available at a very reasonable cost.

The cat absolutely loves it: he's barely left it since I assembled it, and a few of his favourite toys have appeared in the bed overnight. He's loved shimmying up the biggest (1 m tall!) pole like a cat on a real tree and has "gone wild" and run up and down the entire thing several times. It's very sturdy and stable, and yet was very easy to assemble. I think it's going to last a very, very long time and I've started spouting the benefits of ScratchyCats to all those who will listen. I'm tempted to donate some of these to the sanctuary that he came from so that other cats can enjoy just how good they are.

Really, Martin is a master craftsman – not only has he effectively done high-end bespoke furniture design, but he's got it to work for two difficult customers: me, and my cat!

I had been trying to find a high quality, sturdy cat tower/scratching post for sometime but every one I found was flimsy and just wouldn't be suitable for our 6kg male cat. I found Scratchycats through online searches and I am so pleased I did. I contacted Martin and arranged for a custom built double tower (one bed and one platform). The tower arrived yesterday and I am so pleased with it and more importantly so is the cat! It's strong, sturdy and clearly made with attention to detail and top quality materials. Our cat Toby took to it immediately and has spent hours sleeping, scratching and playing with his new abode already! Martin is super helpful and I can't recommend his company enough. Arrived really well packaged, simple to construct and really good value for money. Thank you ScratchyCats!

I had a custom made scratch tree made for my cat (25mm diameter pole at 1.2m with a 600mm base). It is absolutely gorgeous and very strong, sturdy and stable! My cat and I both love it. On top of this, Martin personally delivered this to my door (as there was an issue with dpd) and even set it up for me! Thank you so much! Will recommend to friends and family!

I am very impressed with the quality of both scratch posts - very sturdy, and the rope is nice and thick.
Both my boys are using them - they are big cats - I am surprised how few fibres come off the rope.
I've spent a fortune over the years on badly made wobbly commercial products - never again - it is worth the wait to have them made and love the choice of colours - highly recommended

We've always struggled getting Biffy a scratch post and bed which was #1 big enough for him to lay down and stretch out in and #2 sturdy enough to hold his weight but ScratchyCats have done both! Really friendly family and they worked around us and allowed us to collect whilst we were on holiday in the area. As soon as we got home we set the bed and scratch post up and Biffy went straight to it and fell asleep purring. I'm over the moon with this product and with the customer service you receive. Would 100% recommend to everyone with a cat!

The product is very high quality, it's amazing. It is sturdy, doesn't slide and my cat is absolutely obsessed with it. The fabric used for the seat is soft and of a beautiful, vivid colour. It arrived quicker than expected as well! Best scratching post I have purchased in the last 3 years.

Outstanding workmanship on cat tree. Simply stunning. Very sturdy, a comfortable place for Milo to sleep and watch the world go by. Arrived in the time frame I was quoted. I ordered one with a tub bed and an oblong bed. Milo likes to stretch out too. Back piece of oblong bed is perfect, on a level with Milo's spine, when he is asleep. I asked Martin to do a judgement call on this. Very, very happy with results. Would recommend.

A fabulous cat tree arrived today. Beautifully made - very sturdy - easy and quick to assemble and just as gaudy as we'd hoped in the bespoke patterns we asked for (tiger / leopard / zebra print) arriving exactly when Scratchycats said it would. The youngest member of the family (‘Cabbage’) is delighted with it. A VERY professional experience. Delighted

Scratchy Cats have an excellent range and an outstanding choice of designs when it comes to choosing the right scratch post. The materials used are of very high quality and built to last. Scratchy Cats have saved my carpets and furniture from being destroyed. I am thrilled with my choice of cat post but most of all so is my cat.

Recently found out about Scratchy Cats through the powers of google and decided to get large scratching post / bed for my lively Maine Coon kitten. I struggled to find something that would fit in the bedroom without the tree being a huge monstrosity or too small and flimsy so it was helpful to be able to chose the height etc. when ordering from scratchy cats. The tree arrived very quickly and communication from Martin was great. Bonus for it being super easy to put together as well. The kitten loves it so far, the scratching post is very well built and sturdy so no risk of her knocking it over when she races up to it to climb and scratch. I was happy that I was able to chose the fabric too as it’s always the same old for standard cat trees otherwise (beige / grey fluffy fur) and I wanted something less clunky/big for her in the bedroom to avoid her scratching the bed so this was the perfect solution and it’s money well spent!

Excellent cat scratching post and customer service! The post is sturdy, looks great in our lounge and the bed on top of it is our cat’s favourite sleeping place. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a highest quality product. Your cat will love it!

Best ever scratch post we bought. We bought the last one 4 years ago and still going strong with 4 cats using it. We wouldn't use anyone else or go anywhere else for a scratch post now.
These are sturdy and very well build. Well worth their money.

I bought a cat post in 2018 from the Etsy store, and it is still going, the only reason I am thinking of replacing it now (2022) is that it is looking untidy, will definitely buy from Scratchy Cats again
