I got an original quote for my laptop of £72, I looked around and this was the highest quote. They sent out a parcel for my laptop quickly. However this is where the good news ends:
They halved the quote because the "power source" was broken, despite having worked perfectly when I sent it off! So I requested to have it returned for free as their website offers.

This was 3 months ago!!!
Since then I have called many times and noone has picked up, they don't have anyone operating their support number (if you don't believe me try it!!)
I've sent multiple messages through their website (you guessed it, no reply!!!!)
I've even tried tweeting the company (again noone was home)

Absolutely ridiculous, I've been scammed.
Please do not make my mistake!!

I got a fair price for my macbook pro mid 2010. Higher than any other sites I checked out. I sent the laptop off Thursday morning and got the money by Friday PM. Excellent service, would use again.

If you follow the instructions carefully then it is a very simple process. They delivered the packaging to my door and I simply had to pack the item and take it to the post office. Within 28 hours I had the money in my account as quoted. I can't fault it.

I had a very professional service from this company. They paid me the quoted amount (straight into my account) 24 hours after I sent them the item, with absolutely no hassle. I will certainly be using their service whenever I recycle a laptop in the future.

Sent off my laptops and received cash as expected.

It took about 3 weeks for me to hear anything after I had sent off my laptop. They halved the price in the invoice and the money has not reached my account. On their website there it says 'bank error' but I have tried to contact them multiple times by phone and through their website but haven't heard anything back. I would not trust this company.

My experience with sell-your-laptop was great the box that they sent me to send my laptop in was great and they provided bubble protection for me which was great! They received my parcel two days later which was good but the website says that I would of got paid the same day my laptop arrives, and it says it happens in less then 8 hours! In actual fact it took them an extra day for it to be finished processing but the payment was quick once that had finished but overall a good experience!

Very straight forward process and the amount they offered received direct into my bank account very quickly.

My laptop was sent to this company at the end of August. They accepted it and I was supposed to receive the payment for it which I never did. I sent number of emails but received no reply. This is clearly theft. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!

Phone number and email support claims never answered. Worse customer support than CeX, and that's saying something.

My laptop model is a B570 with an Intel Core i3 - you put the CPU as a B570 (the laptops model not CPU model) and downgraded the price by over £10, with no way for me to contact you to change.

Why do no laptop recycling / tech tradein sites have decent customer service? Looks like back to direct eBay selling I go...

Easy to use - the return boxes came quickly and within 2 working days of me returning the computers I was all paid up. Simple.

I believe this company is a scam - I only saw the good reviews of them on TP so opted for them to sell my laptop - I only wish I'd seen the one star reviews ;-( sent my Acer laptop to them after being quoted £70 it was in excellent condition and nothing wrong with it - I then received an email to say I had been requoted - logged into my account and there was no "requote link" phoned about 6 times they never EVER answer their phone by the way I up at 16 calls so far- so messaged them - got a message saying the amount was reduced for various reasons - which I was suspicious about. I asked for more info on this - No Answer!! I then got frustrated and said okay I will accept the requote of £40 - still nothing. To date 4 weeks on they still have my laptop and I have not been paid!!!!! Who can I complain about this????? This has put me off ever using any web company like this ever again - they basically have stolen my laptop!!!! lesson learned and I urge you to not use them.

Easy to use website, clear instructions and fast turnaround - highly recommended.

I was quoted £106 on their website for my Asus laptop.
After they received it I got a message that it had been re-quoted because "it had a fault with the webcam" and the revised offer was £71.
I was not aware of any fault with the webcam when I sent it.
I emailed them 3 times to ask for more information about he fault, but after 1 WEEK they had still not replied. Telephoned them about 8 times over the following days still no reply.
UPDATE - Company has now paid their quoted price, but only after I asked for the Laptop to be returned to me...?
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...in my experience.

Easy to use service, quick payment. Better rates than PC world etc.

I sent my lap top to this company in July this year, and to date I am still awaiting a response! I have tried calling them on the number, I've tried the email address they sent on their original email reply, which just returns as unsent, and I've tried their 'contact us' link on the web site and I am still waiting some kind of response.

I've seen other similar recent reviews on this review site, so it seems I'm not on my own.

My lap top wasn't a great computer, and I wasn't expecting much back, bit I was expecting some kind of response. I may consider legal action if i don't hear anything back.

Very efficient and easy service to use. Quick payment.

No complaints. Easy to get a valuation, received the packing materials quickly and the email notification regarding receipt and payment all arrived in quick succession as did my payment.

I found the whole process extremely efficient and would gladly use this again. We sold two laptops through this site, the boxes arrived at our home the day after filling out the online forms. Once we'd packaged them up and taken to the post office, payment ( for the same amount as quoted !! ) was processed within 2 days.
