I have used this service more than once and it really works for me! I like it because I don't have the worry of disposing of old technology. I really like the speed of the service and the very prompt updates and very prompt resolve and agreed sale price. The website is fantastic, so easy to use. It helps to be as honest as possible about what equipment you are selling and especially the condition it is in as this affects the final offer. It's great to get an initial quote but just to bear in mind it might change once the item is checked. I am happy with this as I am not and expert in this field and I am just happy to get some return on my item and not even have to pay for the packaging and postage. Thanks!

I was a bit dubious about how it would work out, but I am more than pleasantly surprised by how easy, hassle free and professional the process was throughout the entire transaction. The quote was honoured, posting was no problem, receipt notification was immediate, as was payment. I definitely recommend this company. I had read reviews prior to going through with the transaction and I believe that anyone selling an old laptop should manage their expectations and be realistic. As noted above, I was pleasantly surprised that I even fetched the amount offered! Very happy!

Completely straightforward process received my money within a day of laptops being delivered to factory , price given was very fair, and any questions I had were always answered quickly and politely , felt like all staff had my best interests at heart. 10/10 , have recommended to all of my friends.

Easy to select make, model, and anything wrong with the laptop. The hard drive had completely gone but this did not really affect how much it was worth. I had a box delivered to me with easy instructions on how to pack and post the laptop. Free delivery which was really good. Only about 3 or so days later I received a cheque in the post for the full amount quoted to me. Was very pleased with the amount and the service overall. Would recommend to someone else, definitely.

Was pretty easy to complete the whole process. Found my old laptop, saved all my funny pictures, wiped it, sent it off in the prepaid box I got sent and then sent it off for free! Money was in my account the next week. Nice one!

I only write online reviews when I've received great customer service and this is one occasion. Having read some of the negative reviews, I went to great lengths to ensure that all the details I input into the website about my laptop were as accurate as I could get. My packaging arrived promptly two days ago. I had an email earlier today stating my machine had been received and another email this afternoon honouring the price quoted! Keep up the good work!

Sell-Your-Laptop didn't offer the highest price for my Sony Vaio compared to their competitors, but I selected them on the grounds they were a charity providing opportunities for disadvantaged people.

I received an email acknowledging receipt of my laptop, but then received another stating 'Your laptop has been requoted‏ - there is an update to your offer price that requires your attention.'

When I logged into the site it stated they had found case damage and had reduced the original quote accordingly. Aside from the screen damage that I had disclosed during the original quote process, the laptop was in excellent condition.

Over the next two weeks I sent several messages via their online contact forms ( sell-your-laptop & millraceit ) to query the damage, but no reply. I also called them on 01376 518509 on an almost daily basis. No one ever picked up the phone.

So I felt there was nothing else I could do but log on to the site and requested they return my laptop. It arrived some days later. No case damage. I still have yet to receive any response to my queries.

If they had stated a genuine reason for the requote, or I had been able to communicate with *anyone* at the company - I probably would have just accepted the reduced offer and moved on. Seems their policies are not just dishonest, they're hurting their own business too.

If you're reading this and thinking that there's only a few bad reviews, I'll probably still give them a try... I would strongly advise against it. Imagine how many people may have had the same poor experience, but couldn't be bothered to post a negative review!

Everything was going well until I got a rubbish requote. Offered £15 for my Laptop which was originally quoted at £60 due to supposed faulty keyboard, USB slots and 'major case damage'. Despite a HDD problem the laptop was in pristine condition and less than a year old. Be careful with them. The free return offer is good of them but they will make up things about your computer which are not true in attempt to haggle you down.

Haven't heard a thing from them, no money or contact has been sent or made.

Basically, the way this website works is it gets you to input your laptop specs, it then generates a ridiculously low-ball bid for your laptop, which assumes use, vintage, etc., then promises you to deposit the low-ball bid immediately. Then you go through he hassle of wrapping, packing your laptop, send it to them, and then they come back with another 10-20% shaved off the low-ball bid, hoping you can't be bothered to take the laptop back after having already gone to the hassle of packing, posting and waiting. So, better you just give your laptop to charity. This site is a rip off!

Signed up to sell my laptops. Got packaging through the post within a few says and payment as soon as the machines arrived with them. Fantastic service!

My experience was exactly as described on the website: packaging for two laptops arrived promptly, I received an email the day my laptops were received by the company, and payment was in my account later the same day, after testing. Thank you.

The process was very easy and quick. Got a good quote and the money was transferred within a couple of days! Would recommend to anyone!

My laptop was valued at £68 on the website and I requested the packaging to send my laptop in. The packaging arrived quickly and was really easy to use. The day after I posted my laptop I got an email to say that it had been recieved. The whole process up to this point had been brilliant!
However I then got an email saying my laptop had been valued at £51 but no specific reason given. I chose to have my laptop returned for free, deciding I would try my luck with eBay instead. The lack of specific reason for the change in value felt very strange and it now feels even stranger... the day after this all happened I received another email telling me my laptop had been valued. Thinking it odd as I'd requested for it to be returned, I logged back in to find that a payment was being processed for the original £68, and I now see that the money has cleared in my bank account.
Whether the original £51 valuation was an error, or whether it was just them trying their luck I'll never know, but the whole thing feels a bit dodgy. If I'd accepted the £51 valuation yesterday would I now have £68 in my bank account... hmmmmm!

Liked that they were very honest that they might adjust the price after inspecting the laptop.
Liked that they undertook to return the laptop to you without charge if you didn't like the requote.
Liked that they told me reasons for reducing the price - seemed fair.
