The house sale took longer than expected but Sellwell kept us informed and updated at every stage. Their communication was friendly and professional and put us at ease. I would thoroughly recommend them (but not the solicitors they suggested).

Having Claire available throughout the whole sales process was instrumental to make sure all the relevant parties moved as quickly as possible. Couldn't recommend the team high enough!

I recently sold my house through this company and, although the process was very long due to many factors, the service I received from Rebecca was exceptional.

She guided me through every step of the process, always working around my needs. She liaised with the conveyancing lawyer, the buyers, and also with other difficult parties involved in the transaction — including my ex — which made the sale far from easy.

Despite the challenges, Rebecca remained supportive throughout and helped me successfully complete the sale. I would definitely use this company again in the future if I ever need to sell, and I would highly recommend Rebecca to handle your sale.

After a long drawn out experience our sale and move was completed. Now that was mainly down to all the Solicitors involved...but the marketing process with sell well had some faults. We were initially pleased with what we were told, but the reality was different. After a few accompanied viewing I ended up doing them all. This was because most people work and want to view After 5pm. They don't do viewing after 5pm! Weekends, all slots got booked up and people couldn't get to view, so I did them. Personally I didn't mind but as I was paying for that service I would have expected some sort of reduction on the final bill. Would I use them again? Probably not, because of the viewing situation..

Please do not use this company. Avoid at all costs! Because it will cost you! What this company has put us through is beyond horrendous. We marketed our property in November 2024. I express on numerous occasions that I was on maternity leave and we desperately needed the property to sell in a timely manner. We had an offer that wasn’t confirmed in writing to us. The same individual offered again at a later date and we were not informed that this was the same person who withdrew an earlier offer. We then unknowingly proceeded to agree a sale with this individual and were told specifically that they had a rather large deposit, that Sell Well had seen and confirmed the deposit as proof of funds. We got all the way to the end of the sale, signed our contracts to the solicitors for then the buyers solicitor to go quiet. A staff member from Sell Well called me and said oh the buyer can’t complete the sale their deposit is coming from a divorce! Advising me that they knew nothing about this and did I know anything! There was never any proof of funds. It was all a lie. We have been strung along for months! The incompetence of this company is a total joke. Do not use them. They issued a memorandum of sale in writing advising a deposit amount that did not exist. They have called me repeatedly and advised that we should carry on with the sale, that we stick with the buyer. Only to be dropped months down the line as they have now apparently found another property. Please avoid and consider other estate agents. I have complained in writing to them and I will be taking this to the Ombudsman if it isn’t properly sorted. 7 months of our time they have wasted! I’m totally disgusted. Not professional in any way shape or form. Dreadful!!!

This was our first time purchasing a home and we had a lovely experience with the team. They kept us informed and chased various parties when needed to finalise dates. They were transparent with both my husband and I through email and phone and what the next steps were in the overall process along the way! We would recommend using them or use them again in the future.

Really poor communication and changing the goalposts when trying to sell a property to us. Spoke to the vendor as well and they said the same thing, went through the vendor instead and it was a lot simpler and easier. The vendor had informed me that they were making decisions for them without their knowledge as well. We found the women on the phone abrasive and rude as did the vendors

Poor ! Found to be untrustworthy and very difficult to deal with would be never buy a house from them again ! Caused us a number of problems and cost us a lot of money . Joke !

We've had some horrible viewings in the last few weeks, with some quite rude agents, so I have to add a review for our recent one on Friday with Holly Jackson. The viewing with Holly was fantastic, she was very friendly, polite, cheerful and had knowledge about the property.

Holly met us at the property and gave us a full tour of the plot and garden and was most knowledgeable with the questions we asked.
Difficult times when you are looking to buy a house but this experience was made all the more pleasant with Holly to guide us.

I would not recommend sell well at all and had a traumatic and stressful 9-month experience with them which resulted in us taking our house off the market with them and going with a different estate agent. I found their customer service to be extremely poor along with their honesty and transparency.

At the start, I expressed my anxieties about not finding a property and putting ours on for sale and being in a tricky situation. Karen reassured that they would help “move mountains” but then they never once emailed us or rang us with potential properties they were listing.

We agreed to support occasional viewings on evenings or weekends, which actually led to us doing the majority of our own viewings.

When we found a property we liked with them, we were then told viewings were full or that there was a 4 week wait for a Saturday appt, no loyalty to us being a client and certainly no ‘mountains being moved’.

Poor communication and miscommunication issues. When you speak to anyone who isn’t the director, no one seems to know anything and can’t give an update, instead they always put you on hold and say they need to speak to Mel. Staff even made comments about the notes being unclear on system (probably why mistakes are made).

We experienced an incident whereby a male worker told us the bottom of the chain buyer was a cash buyer however there was no accountability or compassion when we expressed our frustration that this was miscommunication they only denied that this happened and even tried to play me and my partner of each other, calling us individually when we requested we wanted to be rang in the evening when we were together to ensure transparency!

When the chain collapsed for a second time there again was no compassion for our position. Instead Sell Well priortised the other vendor who hadn't Initially listed with them (unlike us).

Also experienced a data protection leak, when we received details of someone elses house sale including full names and addresses by email.

Countless lies and excuses that we caught out. Even taking our house of the market was made difficult. However it was the best decision we made. They report that they pride themselves on customer service but all of the above is why we are dissatisfied with the service and why we would avoid any further contact with them in the future and certainly would not recommend!

Avoid at all costs!!

Absolutely atrocious phone demeanor by agent , would not recommend. After been berated for not attending a view I had no confirmation on , I decided to cancel all my future viewings with them

A great start with Stephen's valuation that was expertly informed, clear and logical. Throughout every step of the sales process until completion Melanie and her team made everything as efficient and stress free as possible. Would trust Sellwell in future and recommend for others. I would highly recommend Mel and her team at SellWell as they simply couldn't do enough for us. SellWell managed to secure us a sale on the same day our property went live on Rightmove which enabled us to reserve our new build property.

Their communication throughout the whole process was excellent, Mel and her team went above and beyond in their responsiveness and attention to detail which enabled us to exchange and complete on our sale within four months (during COVID-19). They did this by chasing our chain of solicitors and providing us with vital updates from further down the chain which appeased our new build developers.

I will be using SellWell for any future property sales.
