Post-migration experience
I am customers with Servage for several years. They migrated my to their new system some time ago. I talked to them about the reason and they said they want to provide a brandnew infrastructure and they will go through all the migration hassle to provide a good service in a long run - sounds courages to me  I know the control panel quite well now and, here are my experiences with the new system:
Good:
- new features like SSH and automatic back up features
- I like the design better then the old one
- services seem to be more stable now
So/So:
- need to relearn the control panel since I only knew the old one
- design (this is subjective, though)
- migration came with extra work. However, even if I upgrade my Windows (which is not a migration but a change after all), I need to check for new features and make some changes in my work procedures. Fortunately, support helped me with my questions, now everything is settled.
After migration
I was customer of Servage for about 10 years.
After their, so-called, migration you should keep away from this company. They are unable to resolve any issue. My company domain and email accounts are inaccessible for a month now. Not even when I called their customer support, the issue is still not resolved. Their admins are "closely inspecting the issue".
Do not waste your money on this host provider. I to have migrated to a more reliable provider.
Now I am wondering if Servage became fraudulent company??
Lost minimum £3,000 worth of work!!!
Where to start and what to say when a lot has been said below. Basically been with Servage for 11 years but with all the recent troubles and complete lack of professionalism, I had to move! There mess with websites and emails not working has cost me at least £3,000!
This company is an absolute disaster
This company is an absolute disaster. My sites were not accessible for 10 days, without any reasonable explanation, without any sight of improvement. I honestly think if I'd stay with them longer, sites could easily down for another 2-3 months or more. It's a total disgrace how they do things.
I moved to another hosting and recommned this to all of their existing customers. For all who consider to sign up with them - better think twice, you will heavily regret it, that's for sure.
Had their day, but they are in desperate trouble
My sites and emails have been down since 19th april, few days after paying my next year's invoice. Been with servage for years, they have previously been decent value, but now I'm rushing to move my services elsewhere to avoid any further disruption. Support just tell me to keep checking the service status page, which just looks like they are fruitlessly trial-and-erroring their way to nowhere. Real shame. Take the hint from everyone else here going to alternative providers, AWS and g suite for me
Awful company!
Awful company!!
Our website has been down for a few months now and they do not care in the slightest but still take our money!
They're also very slow to respond to support cases and when the eventually do, their answers make no sense and aren't helpful in the slightest.
The funny part is that I always receive automated emails from them asking to review their service which I review as terrible every time but they still take no notice!!!
Avoid this company at all costs
Servage Does Not care About Their Customers
What an utter nightmare. My site has been down/ultra slow for over month know since they "upgraded". They barely respond to tickets and if they do they cut and paste responses.
Time to move on....just curious if anyone got their money back?
Absolutely the worst! Avoid!
Absolutely the worst. I've been a customer for many years, and only familiarity has kept me hanging in with them, but no more. Over the past 18 months the problems and outages have just increased exponentially. I get constant email outages now, sometimes for days on end and customer service always have the same excuse 'we're moving server' (for months on end?). I put a monitor on sites and I can see them going up and down like yo-yos. Truly the worst host and terrible, arrogant, unhelpful customer service.
Dependable again.
Servage seem to have recovered from a bad patch in 2019. Recent experiences, especially with prompt help from technical support, have been good.
Servage has gone from best to worst
I have been a Servage customer since 2004 and they were a first class hosting provider back in the day. They have been unreliable for the past year, but I hung on with them out of loyalty for excellent service in the past.
The last month has been a complete train wreck. The majority of my sites are inaccessible. They either time out or Server Error 500. Cannot back up using control panel file manager (throws errors). Cannot back up sites via FTP (throws errors). Their service status page says their storage is messed up. How are you a professional hosting provider without having a redundant storage platfrom in case the primary fails?!? Worse, they have a redundant platform and it failed too?
I am salvaging what I can and moving to a new host. Do NOT give these people your money, you will regret it like I am. They are no longer a good choice, which is sad.
No longer fit for purpose
No longer fit for purpose, have had sites down for over 30 days.
Issues with every aspect of the servage.net service, email, web hosting and now ftp issues while trying to backup web sites before I jump ship.
Customer of 10+ years hosting over 15 web sites which now don't work, enough is enough, time to go to another provider.
Ftp access is down: Response: 421 500 users (the maximum) are already logged in, sorry
Too many people backing up files before jumping ship which I can't blame them now since the service is just too unreliable, they have been fixing the slow response web sites for the past 3 weeks and still no better, 30-60 seconds to load if your lucky to get it to load up.
I'm losing money hand over fist thanks…
I'm losing money hand over fist thanks to servage
Been with Servage more than 10 years but today I setup a new account with another hosting company. Even though it is a pain to have to transfer everything I just can't afford to put up with Servage's total lack of service and reliability.
I've been without email for FOUR WEEKS. Website down most of the time and it doesn't seem like it will recover any time soon. Thec support is a joke... that's when you can actually get to their website.
Now having heard that they are dumping emails rather than storing or sending them, plus the rumour that they are on their way out of business, even I think it is time to jump ship.
Think carefully before you join Servage.
I've been with Servage for many years
I've been with Servage for many years, mainly because they were cheap (original package was 750GB storage, unlimited traffic, etc). There were always problems with Servage and their ticketing system is a joke, but because of the price it kind of worked.
They recently migrated my account to 'new' system and everything went pear shape. DNS settings got wrong, and need me to set them up correctly while websites were unavailable.
At the beginning of March 2019, their 'new' system went down and is still down now (end April 2019). By down, I mean that websites are not loading, can't check, send or receive emails. Their ticketing system is appalling with staff being rude and arrogant not giving any resolution at all. I'm in he process of migration to different hosting environment, but all of the emails from past month+ are lost.
Look at all the other negative feedback and if you are considering Servage - don't.
If you're unfortunate to be with Servage already - contact your credit company for refund. I you paid with PayPal, you can open Case for refund if you di it within 180 days of transaction date.
AVOID SERVAGE!
Appalling service
Appalling service. Several weeks of lost/unrecoverable incoming mail. Random emails coming in makes you think the service is working, which it isn't! There is no way to determine how many incoming emails have been deleted and no method of recovering lost data. Useless support/help system. Outdated control interface. Frustration level 10/10
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
SERVAGE = GARBAGE!
SERVAGE = GARBAGE!
Used Servage for e-mail hosting for several years. Has gotten increasingly poor over the last 2 years and disastrous since their migration to Servage 2.0 in October 2018, which was badly managed on every aspect.
Major problem with Servage is that you cannot ever phone them, so you depend on their 'ticket' system - and when you raise a ticket you get an inane response telling you that they have a system problem (you already knew that!) and thanking you for your patience, then they mark your ticket as 'solved' and then 'closed' in quick succession, with zero resolution of the issue you are complaining about. I have had no e-mail now for nearly 2 weeks and I am clear that they have just been dumping incoming mail with no consent to do so from me and no failed message return to the sender. If that was hard mail it would be a criminal offence.
A cursory look at other review sites shows they have been losing clients hand over fist - and that now includes me.
They really do not deserve to stay in business.
Advice - if you are considering using Servage, DON'T! - and if you are still using Servage, get away from them urgently!
Doug.
Worst I've ever seen in 20+ years as a…
Worst I've ever seen in 20+ years as a web dev.
Client contacted me for help. Servage changed her nameservers, with no notice, back to defaults. So her website died. They did this to enable email and sell her hosting. I was her host and provided email. Shady stuff all round.
Access to webmail was slow at best, simply unavailable at worst. The 'Control Panel' (not cPanel, you don't get cPanel - or access to almost anything) is awful - a custom made pile of garbage that gives minimal or no access to settings almost any other host offers. The 'Help & FAQ' is ALL out of date and refers to buttons/options that no longer exist.
No export options for site/files/emails - anything.
I am now trying to transfer her domain, but you simply don't have the option. You have to go through support, who don't help, they just try and convince you to stay, then stop answering all together.
Avoid!!!
Terribly bad hosting company
Terribly bad hosting company
After many years of using this company, we are suddenly, like others, put aside with an excuse that we would use too much data. A nonsense story. It is also suddenly no longer possible to pay for the subscriptions via a credit card and domain names have ended up at a Chinese spam company through a shadowy construction.
ADVICE: NEVER GO TO USE THIS COMPANY IT IS A WORTHLESS ORGANIZATION
Servage has become unworkable
Servage has become unworkable.
Ive been with these guys for years but the service is no longer usable, ive given them so many second chances in recent years, the only thing keeping us with them was the grief of transferring data to a new host but its really no longer workable. The support is always rapid, the customer service fine but the product is not up to scratch. Its a shame.

Started off really well when I first joined on recommendation in 2011. However they since got taken over and service has rapidly gone down hill. Sites going down, emails not working. Support try to be helpful but are often not. I've lost too much confidence here and there is an actual business cost to me with their outages so I'll be moving to a different (possibly more expensive) provider. The only thing these guys have going for them is the price point, but whats the point if it's unreliable?
Aviod at all costs
Aviod at all costs!
I have used Servage since 2007 after they were recommended to me. I have also, in the past, recommended them to others; no more! They have been great until recently. Over the last week or so, I received a rude, lack of respect for a loyal customer, abrupt email pasted below, saying my account was going to be terminated due to using more disk space. When I signed up for this particular account, the disk space was 1TB and I am using 500GB. They have cut the space to 200GB and not discussed this issue in any way whatsoever, just sent me the email. I even have to contact them to get my money back. As far as I am concerned, I have a contract with them for 1TB of space and have paid for it. Please read it for yourself and see if you would like to be a customer of this once great but now unprofessional company....
Dear Servage customer

More specifically, your account is currently using XXX GB of web data disk space and due to altered packaging and migration to a different platform, your account will not be migrated to the new platform. We strongly suggest you to find a new provider that is more suitable for the type of usage you need, and move your data to that provider before XXXXXh 2019 since the service will be stopped by then.

Your account is currently paid until XXXXX. If you have remaining period paid for after XXXX, we will of course refund the remaining period to you. To get the refunded amount sent to you, please contact us on email XXXXXXX with either your bank details for wire transfer, or with your Paypal details (we sadly can't refund money to your creditcard).and we will handle the refund.
