Email service disruption for weeks

I have been having email problems for over two weeks, with no end in sight. Follows the company's diasterous platform migration programme, that was badly communicated and disrupted service. The system can no longer take automated payments - so every renewal has to be manually paid for. Furthermore the useful server-based black/whitelisting service no longer exists. I have been with Servage for a long time and in the early days the service was good. I can only conclude there must have been some change to ownership/competence or damaging cost-cutting.

Been with Servage for 11 years but…

Been with Servage for 11 years but their service has gone from average to extremely poor. No emails for days, other accounts not working at all. Web performance average at best.

Tech support are seemingly quadra spazzed and just post links so you, the customer, can sort it out yourself lol

Avoid like the plague. Currently in the process of getting my money back.

Have just finally closed my account after 10+ years.

Have just closed my account after over 10 years with Servage. It's like finally having the courage to get out of a bad marriage. Constant issues with spam rejection of email accounts, outages and poor website performance. Support slow and varied. Yes, it was cheap, but not much cheaper than others especially when you factor in the fact that SSL certificates cost here and are free elsewhere.

I hope that they eventually get their act together. But is too late for me. I've moved all my websites, domains and emails to another provider where the service and performance are excellent. Glad i've done so. Sorry Servage, but i gave you time to sort this.

Do NOT use Servage..

Do NOT use Servage... unless you want a website host that will take 3 days to respond to problems... your website/s will crash and not just for an hour or a day...but for weeks... you wont get emails... as their webmail is a service that you just cant get into...

Do not use this provider!

Do not use this provider! They have had a seven day -- yes, seven day -- service outage during which incoming e-mail has been discarded without notice to the sender. Customer service has been unresponsive and, even though it can be configured to do so, the system will not even forward mail to an alternate address.

This is a nightmare organization! Stay away!

Pirates of your data - AVOID !

Been with Servage for about 15 years.
Once they lost a database and I had to upload all my websites again. I forgave them and life continued.

Since the change over to a new - truly horrible - control panel the stink is out. Email doesn't work for days and vanishes in a black hole, FTP settings were not mitigated, email forwarders neither or I can't figure out how it works as some of the wording is near to cryptic, Support replies with even do messages or Cut & Paste, a domain I informed them months ago as deleted has an outstanding invoice that Support says "to just ignore", .....

Our 2 businesses are in the process of moving elsewhere. The fun sites will follow soon.

This company is beyond belief.
Don't let your sites and communication be taken hostage by Servage. AVOID !

Avoid

Been a customer since 2005 and they used to be great.
The last few years however they've been terrible, especially since I was migrated over to their 2.0 platform last year.
The service reliability for email and web hosting has went out the window, and when you ask for help you get useless generic responses from customer service.
I am in the process of looking for new hosting as I will not be renewing.

Unacceptable Performance & Customer Service

I am hosting 18 domains at servage, but am at a point to transfer them all and start procedures against this company. Losing lots of customers. Servage has a unaccepetable customer experience since a few months. I never had complaints before.

Email receiving is down now for about 4 weeks, a real nightmare for us as customers and the businesses of ourself and our customers.

Servage Servers crashed several times, database not properly backed-up by servage and the worst support I ever had. Also payment problems and bad administration. Cannot pay with creditcard anymore, only paypal or banktransfer, but payments are not registered properly. So when an invoice is payed you still get reminders. They even closed one of our domains and i had to pay more then the double amount of a yeartime-fee to activate it again.

Servage is not the provider anymore it was about till 2 years ago. All promises mentioned on their website are not true.

No free SSL Certificates anymore, although they mention this on their website.

We have been a satisfied customer for 15 years. Then servage.net decided to migrate to a new infrastructure called 2.0. Did they outsource it to a cheap country to make more money ? Since then it is a real nightmare. Sites and emails are not reliable anymore. Downtime for days. Extremely bad support with brainless "cut-and paste" answers.

It is no even possible to specify a method of payment that works. You have to wait the billing mail.(previously it was possible to store a credit card reference). The interface and performances are like IT in 1995.
It has become a real disaster and an example of bad hosting.
Stay away at all cost.

Goodbye Servage

Goodbye Servage!

I have been with Servage since 2005 - I now only 'host' a couple of small websites and emails on there, it has now been down for days.

I already migrated most of my data to a new host at the beginning of the year and will not be renewing my subscription.

Stay away

I use Servage since 10 years and the only reason why I'm always with them is that is really complex to move my website away due the amount of used disk space.

The service is really bad, the servers are slow and the admin panel old. With the conversion to the platform 2.0 all the websites stop to work and I had to do a lot of work to get them online again.

Every week there is an issue, the last required 5 days to be fixed. Really not a good provider, if you can move away, if you are evaluating stay away from Servage. It's cheap but the service is really poor.

Been a customer for 10+ years hosting…

Been a customer for 10+ years hosting my clients sites and never really had any major issues but last week was moved to new 2.0 servers, no email to inform me hosting was been migrated and my original login had been disabled. Now stuck for the past 4 days without been able to work on clients sites or upload new files as none of the files on the domains have been transferred over yet, claiming an error and tech have been informed.
Not impressed at lack of communication, sites downtime and inability to do upgrades or add new content. Will be looking for an alternative provider before next billing is due as just not reliable hosting anymore.

Gets worst, still unable to fully access web sites for 15 days and now they have the audacity to send a bill with 25% extra added, No notice of a price increase. Time to find an alternative.

Update: 10-04-2019
Migration finished and every single web site I host with these isn't working now, emailed support 24 hours ago and still no reply.

Alternative now been sourced, absolutely terrible customer service, no help at all even though they caused all the issues with this stupid migration to a new system which is even slower than the previous. Took another star off now for ruining my web sites.

Awful service

Awful service, antiquated Cpannel. Dreadful in just about every way + do not understand that people are running businesses with this lowest of the low rated service. My advice to everyone is find another Host or if you are considering using this shower of sh** then you should avoid them like the plague .

Corrupting Websites nonstop and slow too

I have been with servage for maybe 10 years or so. in the beginning i never had any problem but just the past i would say 3 years its been horrible. Databases always get corrupted, websites stopped working without any reason. Also website files got corrupted or missing. I can't tell how many times i needed to restore from backup or rebuild the websites completely. Everyday there is another issue i am so tired of it. I also think that maybe the guys there like to play with their configuration files and later everything is messed up. Apart from this server response time is very slow, not the website loading time itself but actually the response before the server even answers the request

Absolute joke of a provider

Absolute joke of a provider, the platform is slow and poor on features. The updated 'version 2' admin interface has brought them from about 2002 era interface to 2008, nothing is fully baked. Avoid at all costs.

Stay away!

Stay away!! My account has been down for 3 days in a row, the websites hosted on that account seem to be gone. No reply from servage whatsoever, no support at all. Desperate to get back online, but there is nothing you can do.

Do not use Servage

Do not use Servage. They have deleted my data - meaning my website - they have not provided me with satisfactory timely responses to my concerns - website has been down for 9 days now and looks like I will have to start over again with someone else. This is despite Servage having been paid for a full year in December. I have been 'lost' in the process of them moving servers and they maintain I did not respond to their question of if I wanted to move servers - I have the email and ticket to prove it.....So please, if you value your sanity and business, go elsewhere. I will be taking legal action....
