Website has never worked properly since …

Website has never worked properly since moving to them, simple wordpress site does not work, they do not allow large image uploads, as these fail, the site barely works, editing posts barely works, and on the most recent server move the site no longer functions at all. Avoid. There are better hosts available that cost less or similar amounts.

This company has become terrible

This company has become terrible - I have recommended them in the past but I cannot any longer.
There support staff are patronising and after two accounts with 8 domains or so have been down for over 2 weeks I finally have to say that I would not suggest that anybody use them for serious hosting.
Their restore has "stuck" but they did not even notice. They offer no refund for lost service and no compensation. If my domains were online stores I would be loosing millions in the over 2 week downtime. I understand that they may not be able to restore files but not to transfer to a working server is unacceptable.
I write this while waiting for them to get back to me for the second weekend in a row!
There are much better hosts out there that have far better quality of service. Low cost does not mean good service and this is both low cost and very low quality of service - stay well away from them!

Good support and price

"When I first saw Servage I knew they were the best hosting company because what you get in your package. You get 750 GB of webspace. My last host only provided 2.5 GB and I paid much more, plus I had to pay for each email address. Servage has unlimited (free) email addresses and they have more webspace than any other hosting companies I saw.

That is just the best deal out their. The Unlimited FTP accounts are really nice considering I only was allowed one form my last host. This wonderful support ticket system with 24/7 support is just amazing. I have never seen this great support. When I first joined Servage I have a question and I sent my question with the support ticket system and received a reply in 30 min. My last host may take like a week to reply. They even helped me on Public holidays and received replies within 30 minutes time! I am overwhelmed at what Servage has to offer and what they have offered already."

Servage has the worst support

Servage has the worst support. My sites are suspended saying it caused excessive load. I asked them to explain the problem but they did not. All they say wait for few hours so that our Admins will check. I told them multiple times I have checked for error. They give all crap reasons to waste time and make us lose Business from live Business sites. Never use Servage. If you are OK with third class hosting with zero support then they are right now you.

Stay far, far away from Servage. It has gone from decent to complete garbage.

Servage.net now has scripted customer support.

They have currently suspended an account I depend on for business, due to virus infection in a few websites on individual domains. At the same time they demand that I clean the account, since they have no backup. However, they have limited my download speed, so that it will take about 10 days to download and upload the content.

When contacting their customer support, it is automated. It reacts to certain words, for example "Phone" in their chat will trigger the sentence "we do not offer phone support" - go to their chat and try it.

Once you have had a laugh about this, understand they do not offer support at all, they only offer to ask for your patience instead of solving the problems there may be.

Stay FAR away from this hosting company if you rely on your data in any way shape or form.

Not good anymore

I'm a customer since 2009 but cant recommend them anymore.
Downloads and uploads are capped at 1024 kb/s since somewhere 2015. While internet speeds go up overal in the world they decided to cap them. That's what you get from overbooking servers.
Often copyright reports for files that are not even copyrighted. And if you don't delete them you get suspended.
You get however a full package for (simple) webhosting. Support is always quick. Price is good.

I'm gone as soon my year is over.

Avoid at all costs

They deleted all my MP3 files off my server. They literally SSH'd in and did "find . -name "*.mp3" -type f -delete".

I had no backup. They had no backup.

Their reason for doing this? "Copyright." "DMCA." A German company decided to completely murder my website all to regain disk space based on a law that had nothing to do with them. The MP3s I was hosting publicly were by the permission of the artists.

What followed was some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. I'd just renewed, too, so was locked into a further year of service they wouldn't refund me for.

They effectively killed my website by doing this. I can't honestly say I ever recovered from it.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Lost all of my websites

Hi I just got a mail from them today saying that they lost all of my websites and all of my backups, bassicly everything that I spend the last 9 years of my life building. My husband is turning in his interactive phd next week and it had two active sites to show how knowledge can be used wisely on the web. We spend 3 years on these sites and its irreplaceable, but they have no backup anywhere else of your stuff. They gave me 3 months of free webhosting- this is ridicules, i cant even build the sites again in that time. Im so dissapointed. I spend thousands and have been a customer there for many years, and apparently they dont care about their customers. Im so sad and so frustrated, felt like my house burned down:(

Aldi for hosting

Servage is just a discount product. I mean its cheap, but I've had two storage failures (one which provide fatal to my project) within the last year. It's like going into Aldi, things are cheap, but you can't expect them to have what you need, when you need it.

Try Heroku or anywhere else instead.

NO USE NO PAY. I am not a new customer of servage but last 3 years only problems. I will move all my accounts from this company!

Dont trust and dont buy any services from SERVAGE.NET!!!!!!

They look good BUT they fail time and time again!

I have been with servage for over 5 years, price wise they are very good but inevitably the low price means a bad service with these guys.

The first 2 years were fine apart from the poor email service they offer, the email servers are blacklisted and go down all the time.

Anyway

Truthfully speaking their unique interface is easy to use and top notch, and the support is good for general queries BUT here comes their downfall.

1. They've been hacked 5 times where every site on my server was compromised and infected with code, 1000's of sites were infected, so you contact the support and you get an email which basically says update your security even though it's their server that got attacked and infected. That's very poor

Databases suck, they go down if a few visitors start using your website, then they go back up this happens to me 2-3 times a day.

Storage failures at least once every 6 months where your files get deleted/lost/moved and you only find out about it when your website looks disformed and you contact support.

Backups, they offer no backup system - poor

Support staff don't have a clue and are rude when you question their illogical made up lies that are their to shut you up.

I have finally proceeded to move my important websites and domains over to fast hosts even though they have some bad reviews their customer support answered some complex questions that i threw at them at ease.

I now only use servage for my test accounts/websites as they are useful for multiple sites where you want to run anything you like on, apart from that stay away from these guys it will only do you harm, they will get hacked they always do, this isn;t a joke!

To avoid picking a bad webhost call them first, measure how long it takes for them to answer your questions, compare them to 4 other hosts, and judge using the data and your opinion.

All webhosts suffer problems but servage do get worse year on year.
I am sick of them in that sense but the low price is acceptable as long as you are prepared for the worst.

The worst company ever

Servage recently managed to erase my website of 5 years off the face of the earth, along with my email account. When I contacted support about this their response was one of "there isn't a website at this address, you need to create one". I am furious.

Communicating with Servage support is like wading through treacle too. After writing detailed descriptions of the problems I have, I find myself facing responses like "which account does this relate to?" despite it being mentioned several times in the previous messages - I then answer this question only to find myself having to explain in full AGAIN what the problem is.

Avoid Servage like the plague.

Beyond Terrible

I have been with Servage for some time and they simply get worse and worse. Their support is a joke, rude, unhelpful and selective when replying to queries (they will not answer questiosn they don't feel like answering). I have had all of my websites disabled due to them not being able to differentiate between legitimate and malicious code (when challenged, they simply do not answer). Incredibly frustrating and unhelpful people, who aren't very knowledgeable. They're not even cheap, considering the joke of a service you receive.

HORRIBLE SUPPORT STAFF....HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

I have spent 5 hours trying to prove to them that I am the sole owner of the domain, because of a type in my registered email address they have denied me all access to my own account, i scanned my photo ID and sent it to them, included billing info, address....everything they needed to verify, now i just get ignored by their supervisor. EPIC FAIL SERVAGE!!!!!! i online chatted with 4 diff reps, every single one had a scripted response, they kept repeating please understand the situation, take not i missed the deadline for having the domain set up, thus i lost my contact w/ the company, the support team ignored my explanation of the timeliness of getting this worked out. I asked several times for a contact phone number so i can talk to someone who has authority, each time ignored... then the tech says our supervisor is Heige and he'll be back later today to finish verifying.

to me that says to me your single and only supervisor is the only person at the company who can step up and verify my info, the same guy who chose to ignore me for 3 hours....and counting......

im sure their other support is better, i cant even log into the website to get in touch w/ someone else...... absolute worst customer service i have EVER experienced, you'll get better service from drive thru at mcdonalds with a broken speaker..... do not support this horribly ran company....

All data deleted - no recovery possible

Like thousands of other people I used my Servage account for backup, which I found out not was allowed. All my memories were out there. Most of them I only had there, because I thought it was the safest place in the world.
With no warning they were all deleted from to day to day. All pictures, videos were gone. Servage can't recover!!! And all my digital memories are gone :-(
On their webpage you have to spend time, to find out that you can't use their space for backup, and I had them for 5 years with no problems. I'm soo sad...
I know I should have read the terms, but just deleting files (+100 GB) is not human. It were legal files. My files.
And how safe is it, that a server company can't recover deleted files?!?! Good luck having your personal or company web at their space.

good service, high security, good customer support

I have no complaints about servage.
I liked their service and never had any problems. They offered good customer support during a DDos attack and and I never suffered any security issues.
My account was set up fast and their service was good compared to the price. Only thing I had to do on my own was backup.. but besides that everything was great!
