I am using Seven Seas to transport a large Cube from the Netherlands to South Africa. It is presently on the ship and on its way. So far, my experience has been wonderful. I loved my experience with sevenseas. The customer service experience was excellent, all of my questions were answered. Everything was clearly explained to me. I had a few technical issues with the website when I did the paperwork but reached out by emails and everything was sorted out really quickly. I did not used their boxes but the tools I received were really useful. I absolutely loved the driver that picked up my stuff he was the sweetest man funny and really helpful

It would have been nice if the person who collects the box has a scale to check on the box weight before leaving or check the weight in Cairns before transporting to Brisbane.I was very stressed when I recieved phone call stating that one of the box was more than 30kgs

The MoveCube arrived at Southampton a few days ago and cleared customs today. Destination charges were as outlined. Pleasantly surprised by the accuracy of the tracker—watching the container work its way around the world provids some peace of mind. Now just waiting on delivery to be arranged and my items to arrive.

True to their response to the first review below, Sevenseas have been great in quickly alleviating some initial concerns. As I noted there, the customer service has been excellent and it continues to be. I had a representative get in contact (thanks Dinesh!) who provided a welcome update with multiple photos showing my items packed perfectly.
I appreciate things can happen but I appreciate a professional, helpful response even more. To Sevenseas credit, they've done exactly that.

I'm in the process of shipping a large Movecube from the west coast to Northern Ireland and have had a pretty mixed experience so far.
To Sevenseas' credit, their customer service team have been quick to respond to calls and emails and always follow up.
The less impressive aspect is after booking in early January, a pick up was scheduled for the first week of March but then cancelled two weeks before and I was told the option was delivering the items myself to a moving company depot over 3 hours away. No big deal but not ideal after making plans otherwise.
I loaded my items and made the drive today only to be notifed 40 minutes before the scheduled packing window that the Movecube itself hadn't been delivered. Instead, my items were unloaded into a warehouse, measurements were checked, I left some simple packing instructions with the staff and asked them to use their best judgement—a very different experience from the confidence of loading the MoveCube yourself and watching it get sealed before shipping.
At that stage, all the information anyone had was that they had been told the Movecube was expected to arrive today...but no ETA. As it stands, I have no confirmation whether the Movecube arrived, whether my items were loaded/loaded correctly for shipping.
It's worth noting the moving company crew were great and blameless in this process as they were waiting for the delivery of the MoveCube itself too.
I genuinely hope to update this review more positively as the move progresses, especially as I booked the MoveCube for what looked like a fairly straightforward process.

What a racket of a company. Shipped my belongings from NZ to USA. Shipped items in mid-June, they arrived on 7 November. Shipping took twice as long as estimated. Shipment arrived - 2 of my suitcases were damaged. Seven Seas told me that because they told me they would package the suitcases in boxes prior to shipping that the suitcases are not covered because they weren't listed on insurance form. Be sure to list your suitcases on the insurance form(even if they are not boxed) because they will get damaged. I understand shipping takes longer and items get damaged, however, the most disappointing part of the experience is that it seems like this company wants to pass the blame onto anyone and everyone but themselves. No accountability. Extremely disappointed for such an expensive service.
Update: I did receive pay out for one suitcase after dozens of emails back and forth (months of communication November -March) and an Ombudsman complaint. I received 1/4 of the cost the suitcase was insured for. Absolutely one of the most frustrating experiences of my life, during quite frankly, one of the most demanding times in my life - shifting house from New Zealand to the USA. There was no way for me to list the suitcases on the insurance form because due to their requirements, the 'box number' had to be labelled on each box prior to pickup. Still stand by this company continues to pass the blame onto others and takes zero accountability.

Customer service was excellent and live tracking very helpful. Would have liked a video to help show how to complete the online forms, especially UK customs forms and level of detail needed for itemisation. That was confusing and a lot of days were wasted going back and forth to get it to an acceptable state.

Transparent, supportive, door to door service. I chose the sea option, and it took 5 months, but it got here in one piece. I love that they took care of the packing materials and the paperwork. They are communicate clearly about the customs charges on the other side, by giving you an estimate. No other company is willing to do that. I knew exactly what to expect, and overall I am happy with this service. They did what they promised to do, which was deliver boxes frok door to door.

From the beginning when I first requested a quote, all the way to receiving my items in perfect order halfway around the world, the process has been very smooth. A few extra charges at destination due to import taxes, etc. but, Seven Seas did warn me about that so, no fault on them. Estimated timelines were very close to actual timelines and I had an online way to check progress. First class operation. Thanks Seven Seas

I have just recieved the 5 cartons I shipped from Northumberland in England to Dakabin Queensland Australia.
All 5 cartons arrived safely and only a few days after the estimated arrival date.
Both the gentleman who picked my cartons up in England and the gentleman who delivered them here in Australia were polite and helpful. Customer Service were very helpful also.

The guy when I collected my belongings in Auckland was super friendly and helpful.
The only issue I have is not your issue. It was just how painful the paperwork was, with putting a price to things that would only ever be sentimental value, not resale as the paperwork was worded.
