The dimensional survey document was eclectic and not fit to be used for taking the actual "site" measurements. The conservatory is quite large at around 30 square meters with a double gully on the house side and of an 'L' shape.
All that being said Matt was brilliant, we discussed the matter over the phone and I put their dimension sheet into Excel to convert it to a "on site" dimensioning sheet and all the fittings arrived next day to allow me to fit them and carry out the process of taking the measurements accurately.
The result was a perfect, fitting of the sails upon delivery took very little time as all the anchor points were in place.
We are very pleased with the result as it gives a significant reduction to the suns radiant heat while still leaving an open air aspect.
The initial computer planning of the sails was very good and almost right but in my opinion should not be finalised until the anchorage points are actually in place.
Tip: Have all the anchorage fittings sent out upon placing the order then using the shackles and hooks provided use a surveyors tape to take the measurements.

We are so pleased with our sails. They look absolutely amazing and suit the new conservatory perfectly.
Ordering could not have been easier. The ShadePlus team spent plenty of time making sure that our order was exactly right before manufacture. They were so helpful in advising about the design and colour, we were confident that what we would get would be perfect. And it was!
I can't rate ShadePlus highly enough.
Having been recommended by my landscape gardener Shadeplus were easy to deal with, expert in their field and advised on what would work best for what I wanted to do. The goods were deliver on time and the quality of the products and the advice was second to none.
From our initial enquiry, through online design consultation and installation advice, the process was very professional and straightforward. We are delighted with the results. Would highly recommend both the company and the product.
Very happy with the finished product. The end effect was just what I was looking to achieve. I fitted the sails myself, within a relatively small space, may be a consideration for assistance, with larger areas. Working at height should always be properly planned and supported. Many thanks for clear instruction supplied and good quality fittings.
First saw add in local newspaper and from very first phone call this is a very professional company with an excellent customer service and not to mention a very good product.
We surveyed, measured and fitted ourselves (wife and I)but at every stage of the process it was checked and verified that it was correct by the company so no mistakes were made.
The sails arrived when they said they would and with the attention to detail during the process they were a perfect fit and put them up in a morning!
Can't praise them enough and well worth using.
I researched roof blinds for my conservatory and thought the sail blinds offered by Shadeplus looked interesting.
Matt at Shadeplus gave me an excellent service, he offered his mobile phone number in case my husband I had any difficulty putting them up. He spent some time talking through the measurements with me. He was personable and attentive to me as a customer. The blinds arrived quickly once ordered and there was nothing missing.
The blinds are lovely, they look really expensive, different. They fitted well and the material is of good quality. They are less to buy than traditional roof blinds. I've had lots of compliments from friends.
I am glad that I chose them instead of traditional roof blinds. I've had these in the past and didn't like them at all as after a short while they looked dirty and collected insects. I haven't washed them yet, but will do so after six months
Fantastic service. We even had an on line meeting to design the shades, and we were able to see them on the screen in 3D.
I use web meetings in my professional life this is the first time i have used it with retail. Well done in shade.
So pleased I discovered Shadeplus. After numerous expensive quotes for not very attractive conservatory blinds, I was thrilled to find an attractive and contemporary solution to the problem of dazzling light and piercing heat in my south facing conservatory. The team were really helpful and walked me through the measuring process and sharing the CAD design with me so I could see exactly what I was getting. I was a littler nervous about the install but this turned out to be very straightforward and we did it ourselves. And best of all the sails look fabulous and I am hopeful will do for many years to come.
Very helpful staff talked us through each step of the process on the telephone and everything was double checked. The measuring process was very straightforward- we previously has worries about measuring up ourselves but the step by step process was easy. The fitting of the sails was very simple. Outstanding feature for us- the fact that they are washable, useful as we have lots of flies in conservatory.Would not hesitate to recommend.
All telephone communication was friendly and non-patronising when I asked for advice about fitting and measuring sails for my conservatory by myself, (I am a lady under 5' and in my sixties) Matt gave me the confidence and reassurance that made fitting the sails easy. A good company to deal with, and a beautiful, high quality product.
After much searching for the right look at the right price we chose shade sails and installed them ourselves. We are very pleased with the result - the initial measuring took a little time, but the sails fitted perfectly and provide a very fresh and elegant shades.
From initial enquiry through design options, material choices and taking measurements everything was dealt with in a very professional and technically innovative way.
Lovely people to deal with and a great product installed by myself within a few weeks of even hearing of Shadeplus.
I'd been building up to purchasing new conservatory blinds for about 3 years as they're not the cheapest of things to source. I liked the simplicity and the design of the sail blinds and I think they are cheaper than the traditional conservatory blinds. Having a quick look on-line, I found Shadeplus. The whole process was very easy from beginning to end - chose the design we liked, gave them the measurements they required and within 3 weeks we had our lovely, new, fresh, white sail blinds - they were up in place within an hour - look great, just what we wanted. Excellent service and great product provided by this company - would definitely recommend.
Great service and very happy with end result. Thank you.
We recently purchased a set of sail blinds from InShade Sail blinds, and the service we received from start to finish was excellent.
We love the blinds and as well as being practical, add a nice touch to our conservatory.
Many thanks to Matt and co.
We were looking for an alternative to fixed roof blinds in our Orangery and came across Shadeplus. The whole service has been brilliant right from first contact through design options and ease of fitting. We are so pleased with how they look and many thanks again to Matt Fairley for all his help.
They work well - shading, reducing glare and heat into a conservatory!
From first contact to installation I found the process logical and thorough; from the web-based illustrations to the guidance for measuring the conservatory and aids like the lettered self-adhesive dots.
If I have any criticism, it's about the screws. They did not self-tap (cut into) well into the metal frame of the conservatory - one or two ended up with 'chewed' slots and I replaced these, one actually sheared! This despite drilling pilot holes. Not a big issue for me, however.
We love our new sails. They are perfect for reducing the glare without losing much heat, or the view of the sky.
The self measuring system was easy. The on-line design with Matt was great, and his advice with the shape of sails proved to be perfect.
We found the self fitting to be really easy, and our four large sails were up in just under 2 hours.
When a bird got in the conservatory and stained one of the sails, we took it down, did a 15 minute cold wash, then put it straight back up to dry. What could be simpler?
Would thoroughly recommend the company and the product.
