AVOID THIS BANK

Disgraceful behaviour for a banking institution. As other customers have said, they don't transfer your funds on time, their customer service is abysmal. Earlier this year they also transferred money out of my account which I hadn't asked to be paid into my linked account! Bunch of muppets. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Like so many others giving Shawbrook 1*

Like so many others giving Shawbrook 1*, they seemed ok until my wife tried to Transfer out a cash ISA to another provider.
All looked fine, both parties acknowledged the transfer by email and we expected a smooth movement of what we regard as a large sum of money.
On the day of maturity Shawbrook rather triumphantly sent an email stating "Transfer Failed" due to incorrect information from the new provider.
Shawbrook had failed to associate the maturing account number with the new account number they had moved the maturing ISA into.
This is very poor administrative practice.

In addition on accessing her account a day after maturity, there was no statement showing the movement of the maturing ISA out of Shawbrook fixed into Shawbrook flexible and then transferred to the new provider. So NO PAPER TRAIL in case anything went wrong.
Fortunately the money has now arrived with the new provider.
This however did cause us stress, delay & the wasted time completing a 2nd ISA transfer with the new account details.
We will not use Shawbrook again.
Further to this the money is not with the new provider as the balance is showing zero despite the transfer amount being visible. Shawbrook said it would take x business days for the money to arrive with the new provider so Shawbrook is sitting on it...

Good for Fixed ISA

Good rates for fixed rate ISA account and you generally leave your money there for a year or whatever, and any changes made to reinvest are relatively straightforward. Access to account information would be much easier through an app, rather than the current clunky online login system.
