Finally had my re-dress letter. 14 -21 days for the cheque. Going by some of the comments on here more like 8 - 10 weeks. Let's see what happens.

Most unhelpful. It's been over a year since I put my claim in. Was told today that my claim has been upheld but the office working on it now have a large backlog and nobody knows when it will be resolved. Not great news. Told to phone again in 4 weeks if I haven't heard anything.

The service they provide is dreadful I have tried on numerous ocassions to get My money back and I have now been told there is no time limit on this I have been waiting for 12 months for a claim to be resolved I have been informed that they accepted a year worth of work last august and the advisor told me that some claims had not yet been worked I was also put on hold for over 7 mins without the agent telling me what he was doing

We sent them a recorded claim letter on 24 May 2020, which has been (28-05-2020) duly received. They signed for delivery via the initials 'JS JD'. It is now July 20 and no response at all from them. This is disgraceful and we may have to seek advice from their regulator.

Like all companies that want your money...lie, drag their heels and need a whole year to look at a computer screen to see if they owe you any PPI. My advice, when this covid crap is over do not spend with any of these companies/banks/financial institutes that screw you over and keep your wealth to yourself!

If I could give no stars I would. Over a year since I submitted PPI claim, was told it had been upheld and had been passed on to payments. They then said they were 'waiting for ID' but this was something I had already sent. sent it again... again told that it had been passed to payments, that was 8 months ago. Now cant get through at all. Shocking. Financial Ombudsman next stop.

I placed a order with very.i was told my payment plan on the phone but my monthly statement was different so i queried this.i was told my call would be listened to it never has.i was tols the phone operator was new utter rubbish so i have got a payment plan going but also a black mark against my credit file. I will never shop there again.

Used a company in 2018 to claim ppi, nearly 2 years later and still nothing.
Shop direct we will NOT give up pursuing you and will take you to court if you don't sort your mess out, with your head office in liverpool says it all i suppose.

When will you keep your word?

One year ago today on the 14th of June 2019, I was informed by the “Compliance & Operational Risk Director” that Littlewoods/Vary (AKA Shop Direct), would be changing their nonsensical 28-day/13 payments a year charging system for monthly payments and that this change in policy would be fully introduced by late 2019.

An yet here we are one year on and ShopDirect are still charging people 13 times a year, SO WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO KEEP THEIR WORD?

Every other organisation in the country can charge people on a calendar monthly basis so why can’t they? As it isn’t rocket science!

As an aside the aforementioned professional (an I do use that term extremely loosely), also promised that if anyone is given one of their illegal £12.00 charges for being late or actually missing a 2nd payment request that falls in the same month that these fees would be suspended. So, if you have received such a charge do hold them to account on this and claim back those monies, as I am willing to wager that there will be thousands of you!

*AVOID* Shopdirect & Very at all costs..

Shopdirect, also known as The Very Group and Littlewoods, look to have lost all credibility and their reputation is now very much ruined looking at the recent reviews concerning customer care. To view this, please search 'Very' or 'Littlewoods' and take a look for yourself. My issues are with Very, but it appears the same issues occur for their other businesses! I have received little to no communication to actually make me feel as though my concerns are being listened to, aside from the same copy and paste response from employees who are obviously just trying to subdue to onslaught of negative reviews.

I have been unable to log-in to my Very account for an entire week and I feel as though nobody cares about my issue as I am told the same responses, to await a call back from 'technical support', await a call from a manager, and yet I have received no communication UNLESS I contact them myself first (kicking and screaming) and then I STILL receive the same responses. The issue is a simple account lock-out OR email issue and has taken over 6 days where I still am no better off - I am sure this can be resolved in minutes as I am an IT Technician myself!! There appears to be no escalation route for customer services and you simply get peddled the same rubbish. The technical support team must have been downsized extensively and obviously cannot cope with demand, so lets hope you don't have any issues!

You are better of not opening an account because if you do eventually have issues, don't expect much help from their support team who appear to be under-staffed, reading from a script and cannot use common sense to advise on the best course of action. They just go to the same old responses and I am frankly sick of being asked for my same information from different representatives.

I will be happy to remove or update this post once someone can prove to me that my concerns are being heard and get my issue resolved, in a timely manner.

no help during covid 19

haven't missed a payment with very in 3 years, explained that no income for 90days due to lock down so could do with some help till back to work was told account on hold, then recive letters saying im 2months in arrears and need to pay what will be 3 month's arrears as soon as im back to work, fortunately I'll be able to afford to pay once back to work but this company has been ZERO help during this crisis and treat you as if you are defaulting on the finance even after having explained to them that can not work due to vulnerable persons in house hold ,will NEVER recommend to anybody or be using them again,once off hold and back to work account will be paid and then closed

9 months later and still no PPI response!

I put my PPI application in in July 2019. Fast forward by almost 10 months and I’m still waiting for someone to reply with a definitive answer! I’ve had no response to emails, letters, phone calls, and now the phone line is down. We’ve got as far as confirming my identity, and that’s it. Shockingly bad customer service, I’m currently writing a letter to the CEO and will also make a complaint to the FSO and anyone else I can think of. Bored with you now Shop Direct, get your act together.

The products are a front for a finance company.

I'v been a customer of shopdirect (Very) for many years , and can honestly say I wouldn't be if there product range wasn't as exstensive as it is.
Their FLEX ACCOUNT is a license for them to print money, put together in such a way, customers are left clueless with regards to accrued interest and the breakdown of the payments they are making on their account.
I have learnt that the only transparent method of purchase is "buy now pay later", so long as you pay the ballance of the entire order by the stated date. This way you do not pay interest and the ballance does not transfer onto your flex account.
The way in which they administer flex account is purposely confusing and un-transparent, allowing them to charge interest on even small purchases, for many years after the initial purchase. Even their customer services team are unable to explain their accountancy model when answering customer queries.
In summary I would have to say that, no aspect of doing business with shopdirect is particularly pleasant, and I am surprised that the TSA and FSA aren't crawling all over them?

Liars

Only reason they got a one is that I couldn’t put zero. My claims management company found four PPI’s with them and very in August 2019. I filled out the paperwork and since then all I have had is changing stories, lies and excuses. All my claims have been upheld but they claimed in February they were only sorting emails from September....all ive had is four weeks it will be sorted and in November they said four weeks. Rang in February and told it’s summer. All my other PPI claims were resolved inside a month. Every time you ring different person different story and to be honest I don’t believe a word they say I’m seriously considering the FCA with them

Rude

Rude, obnoxious staff. Every one of the girls I spoken to, when i have called the VERY call centre has been on a another level of unworkable.

. Do not listen to what you say
. Eating whilst on the phone
. Put the phone down on you when they can't be bothered to have a discussion with you
. Every request I have asked of VERY they have never managed to do correctly, or in most cases just even complete it
. They never get in touch with you to give them updates.
. Lie on a regular basis, in order to end the call at the earliest convenience

I made a ppi complaint in Aug 2019

I made a ppi complaint in Aug 2019. Received a letter on 11 Nov saying complaint was upheld on one account but they had missed another account off my claim. I went back to them and each month they have fobbed me off. In Jan i was told it would be sorted by end of Feb. Rang today and have been told it will be Summer 2020. Some of the call centre staff are rude. The woman today just put the phone down on me. They were quick enough to take our money in the first place.

Waiting for Cheque 25th November....

UPDATE - 19th Feb Got my cheque today...

Just phoned Shopdirect as still waiting for my cheque my letter was dated 25th November.Been told that cheques were sent out on different days during last week by 2nd class post but all of the cheques up to 28th November have now been sent out.My cheque might not of been sent out till Friday so i should get mine any day this week....
