😤😣😤 stress - ben on phone 4 an hohr

I was told I won ppi told I would have a cheque on the 24th October no cheque then the 25th November no cheque then told twelve weeks shop direct you are a joke just pay what we are all owed There should be a tv program about this don’t shop with them

Was told we had PPI, letter said within 21days. Then was told 7 weeks now told 12weeks. Unbelievable and reading everyone’s comments makes me think 🤔 when will we actually get the cheque.

I have been waiting over 12 weeks for a cheque to come to me, I have made numerous calls to them with different dates being given. I actually don’t think anyone on customer services have any answers they make it up. To me how can it be that know one can see when a cheque is sent out. Apparantly the finance team don’t talk to customers and they lie about managers calling you back. We are all being fed the same line so why hasn’t anything been done about this??? I have now took my claim to the Financial Ombudsman who say around a 6 week wait.

Finally received my cheque this morning, I hope this means that others here will soon have theirs. I am not going to change my rating as I believe Shop Direct have been appalling in how they handled this whole ppi thing. Its been an almost 4 month wait for me and many lies told, honesty and transparency would have gone a long way.

Absolutely shocking company, I have been waiting nearly 10 weeks,. And within this time I have been given 3 different dates that the cheque was meant to arrive only to be told yesterday that it hasn’t even been printed! They were quick enough to take our money but not the same giving it back.

**21/11/19 update. Rang for update, not telling them what I’d been told before. Now saying it’s 12 weeks wait and he’ll have to do a cheque trace to see what’s happening. Then told him I’d been told during my last call that my cheque had been printed and was waiting to be posted. He got very flustered and said he couldn’t see any notes for the day I rang. So it would appear I have now been lied to!!** Received a letter 20/9/19 saying payment would be issued within 14-21 days. Have since rang twice, told the first time it is 6-8 weeks wait and was then told this week that my cheque is printed & is in a batch waiting to be posted out. Still nothing received & into week 9 now. Really need this as purchasing a property and will be unable to do it without this. Please someone give me hope it’s going to materialise!!

I'm also waiting on a ppi claim since summer now was told it was successful by claims direct received paperwork about the amount I would receive I'm still waiting keep getting texts from the people who are dealing with it saying I'm behind on invoice but can't pay them till I'm payed.
Now I've been told the shop direct sent a cheque out in September complete lies have not received hence why I keep phoning the company dealing with it to chase them up.
Now they are saying they won't send another cheque straight out and now have to wait another 8-10 weeks not good enough I was banking on this money to give me a better and happy Christmas as I have not been well i think shop direct should be adding further compensation

Ongoing PPI complaint since February. Referred to Ombudsman .... Hurrah Shop Direct finally admitted I had PPI. Told at start of September i was owed almost £1000 and my cheque would be here within 21 days. Called them and was told it could be as long as 8 weeks!! Company as shoddy now as it ever was.

Would just like to share received my cheque this morning I have had to wait and been told every story possible and alot of phone calls so on the phone now as I was told I would be entitled to compensation for delay all those waiting don't give up hope

I have been waiting a year now - going through a claims company for PPI due from Shop Direct. Last indicated to Financial Ombudsman they were 1 month behind re PPI claims. Can't ever see me receiving anything really, I am so sick of filling out forms over and over again.

Like everyone else have now been waiting since august for a cheque
Emailed tried ringing getting texts saying two weeks its probably cost me more than cheque to be issued...
I fell behind due to illness on two payments and in that period alone recieved 12 letters and 14 phonecalls
Yet they cant even answer phones
Ombusman for me absaloutly disgracefull

I’m also going through the same scenario with shop direct and my PPI payment.
August I was told I’d receive 2 cheques within 21 days. Then it was 35 days to date it is 68 days.
Allegedly my cheques were printed on 23/10/19 and should have arrived. But where’s the proof they are posted. All these cheques could be sat in a crate. While we haven’t got the money it’s in their bank gaining interest.
FOS say they have 1000’s of complaints about this situation.
This is 2019 use faster payment straight into our banks

Absolute thief's and liars. You phone up and are told another lie about the state of your claim. Mine is over 10 weeks old now and I am told lies by different members of staff. Time to go to the FCA, my MP and I feel like visiting their CE Henry Birch. The more people that complain about them and tell their stories to Money Saving Expert and other public authorities that protect consumer rights then we can close these muppets down.

UPDATE ive recieved my check this morning about time I've just spoke to shop direct I've been waiting since August for my check they said they are 2 months behind in sending checks out and I should have it within the next 3/4 weeks we will see

Update my cheque came through today !!! Happy days . I originally received my letter September notifying me of the amount I would get .

Still waiting for PPI cheque refund from September, I would like to know an email address to complain to then as reading upon here I see no-one is receiving their refunds so I will go to the financial ombudsman. I would be interested if anyone does get their cheque if they could update on here.

I had 3 accounts with shop direct, but with a very severe illness,I had to stop work,and which Im still suffering from. So stress doesnt help, I defaulted and they were sent to a debt collector, I then discovered recently, I was paying PPI on these accounts which means this would of covered my monthly bill,with them, So it impacted on my credit rating,for no reason,and now trying to get PPI paid back, I was told 21 days, then 35 days,Its now 40 days and still no sign of the cheques,I asked if the amount due would pay off some of my balance at the debt company, or would it come to me,No one could tell me, Said I,d get a ring back, guess what no call, Having seen how many people have waited months for their cheques,guess I wont find out anything for quite a long time,If at all, its disgusting they put this on your account and dont tell you,you default due to illness,and they still dont tell you you,re covered,and then they wont pay you the PPI back,This is tantamount to theft,!!!!

Been awaiting Ppi refund since April 2019 said theyd cheques to old address then got told they had to do a cheque check which would take 21 days .Then got told they were 2 week behind back in july still no payment.Received a email stating they were running a month behind excuses excuses
