New rules make it not worth bothering with
They've sprung new rules on us to stop withdrawals until you've reached a tenner, and also penalties for inactivity. Not good
Terrible
Like others, I used to love this app but in recent years, the offers are poor and the introduction of deducting fees due to inactivity is unfair. There was no way warning informing me about the introduction of this process. Neither did I receive any emails in the 14 days prior to the £7 being deducted due to inactivity. I regularly check my emails and it simply wasn’t received; neither in my junk or main inbox. They’re therefore deducting fees outside their terms and conditions and will point blank refuse to refund you. This company has gone to the dogs, avoid.
They ruined the app
This used to be the best app out there until they ruined it with £10 minimum to cash out. Today I’ve had £4 taken from my account because I haven’t made a purchase recently. There’s no point in trying to save for £10 now if they keep taking money as it’s unachievable. I have stopped recommending the app to people now and instead I am warning others not to bother using it as it’s pointless now. Gutted as it was the best app out there but now it’s getting deleted.

Talk about ruining a good thing.
The app used to be great, I'd occasionally use a coupon or two and a couple of days after submitting receipts I'd receive the cash back straight into my account.
A while back they changed this so that you had to hit £10 cash before they'd send it to you and as someone who doesn't use coupons unless it's for something I'd be buying anyway, it takes a long time to reach that threshold since often discounts are for less than £1. (I assume they're holding everyone's money in an account somewhere and making a nice bit of interest off of it while we wait.)
That was annoying but I figured it was fine, sooner or later I'd hit the threshold and cash out. But NOW I just received an email that if I don't submit more cashback requests, they'll start charging me a fee on my saved up previous requests every month! I'm not going to be forced into buying extra stuff just to use coupons, so I'll be closing my account and hoping they reconsider their stance as I'm sure I'm not the only one really put off by this. I'll be submitting a note to MoneySavingExpert about this too as they usually recommend Shopmium and it's where I found out about it but these new terms might revise their recommendations.
Talk about ruining a good thing.

SCAM APP now deduct money from balance!!
I received this email - You have 14 days to submit a cashback request to avoid a monthly account management fee, which could be equal to your balance (with a maximum fee of £3.99 per month). Don’t wait! To keep your balance intact, simply claim any offer today. I did this yet they still deducted the fee from my account balance and completely refused to credit it or respond further.

Very happy user
Have been using the app for about 3 years now, very impressed with the offers available from a variety of stores.
Have discovered lots of new product I may not have bought without the incentive of cashback and now buy regularly.
I actually prefer the £10 balance because it's nice to have a larger sum go in the bank.
Had cause to contact customer help a few times and have always received quick replies, as with anything you have to read the small print and check the product matches. Cereal come in many weights from different supermarkets, for example.

My parents won a £250 voucher via a competition.
I was really surprised to hear when my parents called and mentioned she had won a £250 voucher through shopimum and a competition (thank you guys).
I regularly use the app, and they have great offers on to try new items and even some brand favourites, the customer service team always goes above and beyond to help when needed.
I do wish the minimum wallet balance was removed though my only gripe, but not enough to loose you a star.
Appreciate your app, and offers. Thanks guys.

Changing the payout threshold to 10.00…
Changing the payout threshold to 10.00 minimum I feel was bad for people using such an app. Usually people on this are in need of money sooner and Shopmium is just holding onto it.
Mjy use wasn't that frequent lately as I found the products to qualify were less everyday items. Not keeping an eye on this, I them found my balance got taken back by them for lack of use !! Standard unfriendly answers by customer service. Closing the account

Disappointing
I requested a withdrawal of £11.20 on Monday, 16th December. On Wednesday, 18th December, I received an email confirming that the payment had been processed and would appear in my PayPal account within three working days.
As of today, 1st January 2025, the funds have still not been deposited into my account. Additionally, I have not received a response to any of the two emails I’ve sent.
Shopmium used to be a great cashback app (started using it 6 or 7 years ago) but unfortunately, that no longer seems to be the case.

I have been waiting over 2 weeks to get my money that was verified on 16th December. They say it's a problem with Paypal, but Paypal say nothing wrong their end. Who to believe? I've been a member since 2021 but this is their Swansong.

I'm really frustrated with this app
I'm really frustrated with this app. I bought a lot of items in Morrisons as advertised and scanned the receipt. Was then told that they needed further proof and to provide the bank statement, which I have done, and now I have had no response. Very dodgy and disappointing.

Seem good until they aren’t
Seem good until they aren’t. Not to be relied on, if you have any issue they won’t go out of their way to rectify it no matter how loyal a user of the app you are.

New to this
New to this: thought that it made shopping interesting.
App won't work properly. Won't take passwords
Doesn't give promo codes
It takes bank details: is this a scam?
App says £5 for withdrawal but you guys say it's been made up to £10 - not on my app.
Emails are responded to but the instructions don't work.
Really angry.

Should be zero stars
Waste of time. Once you have accumulated £10.00 you can cash out however the team lie to you saying they have sent payment when they have not. Only by kicking up a real fuss did I get my payment. AVOID AT ALL COSTS NOT WORTH THE GRIEF

Used to be great, now it's not.
I've reviewed Shopmium previously at 5 stars, however the user experience has absolutely bombed, cashing out was very regular, as and when expected, they delivered, you now have to accumulate £10 minimum which can take time with poor offers these days, followed up with about a week long wait to receive payment once cashed.
It doesn't build much confidence in the company with lack of communication and then wanting to keep hold of your money for longer, proceed with caution.

Gone downhill
As others have said recently, Shopmium has really gone downhill!!! (Noticed they don’t care to reply on here anymore either). You now have to wait until you have £10 to withdraw funds and then you have to wait over a week for them to process the cash out.

£10 minimum payout has ruined Shopmium for me
The £10 minimum payout just doesn't work for me. I've lost track of the number of stores I have visited only to find that they don't stock the product, despite Shopmium saying they do, and I'm sure it has cost me more in time and petrol than the small savings I have made. I have now closed my account.

Offers not always valid
On 3 separate occasions, a product was showing on offer at a particular supermarket. The verify scanning screen showed a green tick confirming the product was on offer. It wasn't until I got home after purchasing the item, when it showed full price. I was then unable to claim back the money as it showed the offer had expired. If the system does not update, customers should be told this rather than paying full price for items showing on offer.

Don't bother, £10 Cashouts a Joke
Used to love this app but a £10 cashout limit is ridiculous, Hardly any decent deals now. It would take forever to be able to cashout, Time to ditch this app.
