I used to use them a lot previously but this time I made a mistake to trust them again. I bought a digital code had to wait a day to contact them because I didn’t receive it. They tell me A DIGITAL CODE is out of stock even though their website sells you the game and says in stock but still how can a code be out of stock. Asked for a refund immediately they said they have yet no confirmation email, my credit card provider has confirmed they haven’t processed the refund even though they said they have yet were very quickly to move the purchase off my account when I asked to be refunded. Without proof of purchase I would have been scammed. Fully disputing this but won’t use them again now in future.

In accordance with the conversation you had, with a member of our team, via our website livechat contact channel, the digital item you had ordered, was, out of stock, hence why no code was able to be provided via your Shopto account
We do not store/hold codes locally, they are provided, via automated external servers so, in the event that an item goes out of stock with the supplier or publisher of the item you have ordered, there may be a delay in being able to receive your code:if the item is no longer available, we will remove the item from our site, so as to avoid inconveniencing customers, so we can only apologize that, on this occasion, the supplier had not informed us, before you placed your order, that the digital item was out of stock, so they could not provide a code to ourselves, thus you could not receive the item via your Shopto account
As the code was not able to be provided, we have, as stated to you via that conversation, cancelled the order & processed a refund, depending on the specific payment method used when placing your order, the timescale for you being able to see the refund on your original payment method will vary, this timescale is not controlled by ourselves & we have no control over the time it will take, once we have processed the refund on our side, for example, some payment methods can take between 2 & 5 days for a refund to be visible on your side
Your suggestion of a scam is disingenuous, we do not operate any scams & have been trading for more than 20 years & having used us for previous orders, you know that, should you need to contact us, or have an issue, we will respond appropriately, to advise & assist you:we provided an order confirmation email when you placed your order, so there will never be any confusion or issue in the event of a digital item/code not being available, our team has, as stated, processed your return, immediately upon request
