I would avoid buying from this company. Unreliable

I would avoid buying from this company as they are extremely unreliable. I have ordered a shower tray on the 6th of August 2022. I only heard back that my order is processed. My payment went through. However, there has been an extreme lack of communication with me about this order. I have emailed asking for an update on the 12th of august, I have not received any reply or even acknowledgement of my email. I have then sent the online message on their website on the 17th of august and again no reply. I then called on the 18th of august and I talked to someone who said the item will be delivered on the 19th of august. So I had the builders and everyone on standby to receive the delivery on Friday the 19th. No delivery arrived, and what is totally unacceptable is there was no communication to the fact that the delivery was not going to arrive, and when it is going to arrive. I called on Friday the 19th within the working hours and no one was picking up the phone even.
I do not trust that my order is being delivered, or that it will happen. I have a building works in my bathroom that cannot wait with no communication. The website said it would take up to 2 weeks, and we have gone beyond this. I accept there could be delays, but no communication and worse still, telling me false information about the delivery on Friday the 19th, is totally unacceptable. The company has lost my trust.
I have emailed to cancel the order and request a full refund.

Missing shower items

Despite emailing and phoning several times, no one has got back to me about the missing items that were not delivered. This is extremely disappointing as the person I spoke to 3 times on the phone kept promising to speak to the couriers and get back to me but never did. So I have a shower door that I can’t use because the support frames are missing. It’s how a company deals with problems that sets them apart from the rest. They may claim to be number 1 for showers but from my experience, definitely not number 1 for customer service which is a shame because the shower door was delivered on time and it looks like a quality piece of kit.

What a shower of sh.t this company is

What a shower of sh.t this company is, don’t even think of buying anything from them !
Nearly a month after being emailed to say that the shower screens I ordered have been dispatched but they still have not arrived. I have phoned them twice to be told that there has been several failed delivery attempts and all of the blame has been put on the courier, there has been no courier as we have been home all of the time. A total pack of lies !
If it was possible I would give them no stars at all.
Fortunately on this occasion I paid by credit card and will be getting a full refund due to their fraudulent behaviour. Tread carefully !

Dear Mr Tonkin,

I’m genuinely sorry and concerned that your order has not arrived in a reasonable timescale.

Your order was for stock items from our clearance section. These were booked in for shipping following your order on the 18th and were collected by our chosen logistics company, Nelsons Transport part of the Pallet Track network, on the 21st February. I have asked that a copy of this booking and collection be emailed to you today.

After speaking with you our sales advisors did chase the transport company to find out why your goods had not been delivered. Their response was that several delivery attempts had been made. We have to take this information in good faith but asked that they would contact you again to get make the delivery. The goods are currently sat in a depo close to your location.

Once again, this morning we have instructed the delivering company to contact you directly to explain the delay and to organise delivery should you still require the goods. If you don’t then please advise them of that and we will process a full refund once returned to ourselves.

I’m hoping this situation will be resolved to your satisfaction and once again apologise that the goods have not been delivered in a reasonable timescale.

Given the above information and providing we take the actions detailed I invite your response on Trustpilot and hope you could see your way to adjusting your review. As a company we acknowledge the mistakes we make but this was genuinely beyond our control. Our industry is literally on its knees and negative reviews like this are extremely harmful to our business.

Cowboy company avoid at all cost

I order a resin shower tray on 19/11/2021 few days later they rang me and said they don’t have stock, fair enough as I don’t need the tray urgently and said I will wait, so I waited and contacted them again on 3/1/2022 requesting an update but response and then email them requesting a refund no response, on the 7th January I rang them and asking why they haven’t refund me and respond to my email, the gentleman said there was no email received and will look into it, Email them again on 12th January same thing no response waited for another 2 days and rang them again requesting for them to refund again the gentlemen said he will look into it, I will need to contact my bank for refund now, AVOID this company.

I'm genuinely sorry that we were unable to fulfil your shower tray order. As you allude to there is a long lead time for this product detailed on the product page. You should have received a full refund as requested.

Unfortunately we are waiting weeks and months for some styles and shapes of shower trays due to a shortage in the UK of the resin chemicals that make up the trays. Manufacturers are choosing to make more high demand styles, I'm afraid the pentangle model you ordered is not one of those and the delivery date was pushed back on several occasions, beyond the lead time suggested. We can only apologies for this.

Furthermore, I'm sorry for the admittedly tardy communication. We're in one of the busiest periods of the year and despite genuinely not receiving your emails we should have responded to your recent phone request more quickly.

We are trying to keep everyone happy with supply in what are difficult trading conditions.

Superb service

Placed an order on a Friday night. Something went wrong with the system and I got an "order failed" email. Received a call Saturday morning advising it had been put right. You can always judge a good company by how they fix problems. Spectacular service. Really polite and friendly.

10 days since the order, no delivery or update

10 days since the order, the Item is apparently in stock and delivery according to their website takes 3-4 days. Granted there could be delays... but one would expect some communication about it, emailed 3 times, no response. Called multiple times, only getting through once and I was told its with the courier and that they will contact the courier and call me back.. Still waiting for the callback.

Can't keep waiting so I have asked for a refund via email; I doubt they will read it might just ignore it; a company that cannot respond to a new customer's emails are unlikely to give a **** about doing a refund in a timely manner so I have initiated a chargeback with my credit card provider.

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, THE TRUSTPILOT RATING ON THEIR WEBSITE IS FAKE 5 STARS, WE CAN ALL SEE THE REALITY HERE, WISH I HAD CHECKED HERE FIRST!

We're sorry that we were ultimately unable to supply your specific shower tray size. We advised you immediately at the time of order that there would be a delay.

In terms of the stock notification unfortunately our website can't differentiate between different sizes. Most are available but alas the size you ordered wasn't.

All our phone calls are recorded and you spoke to our advisors on two occasions.

The first time was to ask for an order update. We advised that we were waiting on the manufacturer to update us, then we could reliably advise you.

The second time requesting a refund, as is your right to do so. That was processed the same day. A chargeback wouldn't have been necessary or possible since the refund had already been processed.

Can I just point out that our website uses a code snippet supplied by Trustpilot. The star rating displayed reflects our account accurately.

Furthermore, just to add some background information. The global supply chain for goods in all niches has been disrupted due to the Pandemic, this will be an issue for months to come. Specifically for shower trays costs have increased by 20% and are set to double within the next 3 months. Getting hold of the resin component to make shower trays is problematic, hence stock is difficult to source and keep hold of in any great quantities.

Once again apologies we were unable to supply your goods but some of your comments are untrue and inflammatory.

Absolutely awful- will never order from here again

I ordered items well I advance of the delivery date to ensure I had them in time. After calling to confirm the delivery and assured it would be here, I booked in trades. The items never arrived! So paying tradesmen for a wasted day and then going back and forth with the company about whether the items would arrive or not, they ended up cancelling the order abs offering a refund. Nearly 4 weeks later, that refund hasn’t arrived and I had to pay out even more money to another company to get next day delivery for different items so that I could finish the project.

Absolutely terrible experience with this company and will never order from them again.

We are truly sorry for the unexpected delay and subsequent cancellation of your order. Your goods were to be shipped directly from the manufacturer and the information passed from them regarding this was done so in good faith.

As you will appreciate all manufacturers and suppliers are struggling with stock and the huge increase in demand. Global logistics of bathroom hardware is some months behind from recovery following the Pandemic. As such unexpected delays are unfortunately inevitable with some orders for the foreseable.

We ask that all customers, as per our terms and conditions, wait until goods have arrived and been checked before arranging trades persons.

With respect to your refund this was processed the following working day from cancellation (01/03/21), 2 weeks ago. A customer service representative has forwarded you the proof of this today (15/03/21). Although the funds leave our account immediately they can take 3-5 working days to land in your account depending on your banking institution. We advise you check your statement thoroughly and give your card company a call if they are not present.

We are genuinely sorry for the delay that led to cancellation of your order but invite you to update your review in respect of the refund having been processed as this is inaccurate and potentially harmful to our business.

Don't use communication skills..

Don't use communication skills... ZERO. After chasing my shower screen up a few times we finally got to the point of arranging a delievery date on Friday the 5th after I was told that someone had previously refused delievery for a shower screen we are desperate to receive...odd.We agreed to delievery on Monday the 8th I told the call handler if it was possible to put on the notes could it be am delievery as my wife had to take my daughter to the hospital at 5pm. He said he would put it on but wasn't guaranteed which was understandable. My wife sat in all day waiting I called up six times to ask if he had any better indication of what time it would arrive each time I was told he would ring up the driver and get back to me which as you can guess never happened everytime. I will be back on the phone again tomorrow but this time it won't be to chase my delivery it will be for a full refund including my postage costs. If not it will be trading standards who will be doing the chasing. Do not use!!!!

Please let us apologise for the no show of your delivery. We completely appreciate the frustration this will have caused you and your wife.

Of course, a full refund has been processed.

Larger versions of the item you ordered are delivered directly from the manufacturer. They have the expertise and experience to deliver large panels of glass.

This means we rely on their word to communicate delivery information to our customers. We passed on everything to you that was advised to ourselves. Going off the previous experiences with this supplier we had no reason to doubt that.

We have discovered that your item wasn’t out for delivery and was in fact out of stock. This is disappointing for us as well as you since we can’t afford to lose sales in what is a tough trading environment. We are a small business where negative reviews have a huge impact.

We are sorry the communication wasn’t accurate in this instance and accept responsibility for that.

Just generally we appreciate the patience many customers have exercised with delayed deliveries and out of stock items. As expressed within previous reviews the situation is unlikely to improve for some months.

Created a lovely new shower

Ordered bits from lots of online bathroom companies and got the shower surround from here. Have to say it looks a lot more expensive than it was. Really pleased.

Very poor

Very poor. Took more than 9 weeks to deliver when it said it was in stock online. Then the shower tray order was delivered and two days later the cubicle was delivered. When we opened the packages no waste had been delivered. Had to go to Screwfix 20 miles away to purchase a waste so that Plummer could get on with the job. Have been in touch with company twice and sent two emails for a refund for the waste, heard nothing from them and this was 6 weeks ago.

Firstly let me apologise for the missing shower waste. A refund for which has been processed today, 5/1/21.

This order was shipped directly from the manufacturer. As with any large company processing 1000's of orders, occasionally parts of the order can get separated. We are very sorry that the waste didn't find it's way to you, despite us chasing this up several times with the logistics company.

We are though disappointed regarding your comments about the delivery time scale. At the time of order and to this day there are messages on the specific product page and across the website regarding increased time scales for delivery. At the time of order we also gave you the opportunity to cancel the order and kept in touch to advise of further delays.

Unfortunately the reality is that manufacturers are struggling to import their goods from foreign factories and thus retailers across the UK are struggling with stock. Furthermore, because of that we are operating with a minimum of staff on reduced hours, which we acknowledge has impacted communications. This situation is unlikely to change for months.

While we acknowledge we could have responded sooner about the missing waste we feel the 1 star rating is harsh given the environment many small businesses like ours are trading in. We invite you to reconsider your rating.

Don't expect to get your order as indicated?

Our item was indicated as being in stock with a 3-4 day expected delivery. When I phoned to check (5th Dec) I was told the computer system was down and they would call back with an update....they didnt! I phoned again (11th) for an update and was told it was out for delivery on the 13th. I phoned mid afternoon on the 13th and was told it was out for delivery before 6pm. I was not provided with tracking info as indicated on the website, nor did they inform who the carrier was. The item wasn't delivered as promised, and we had waited in all day!

I wont say more than that, make your own decision as to whether or not to use this company.

Firstly, may we sincerely apologise for the delay in your order and accept that our communication to you could have been better.

We have added messaging to various pages across our website that customers should expect delays with their orders but appreciate you might not have seen those. The global supply chain for bathroom products like many other industries has suffered severe disruption. There is a lag with manufacturing and with distribution. This likely will not be resolved until at least the spring of 2021.

The bathroom mirror product you ordered is a popular item that currently we cannot reliably keep in stock or purchase in any great numbers. Your ordered was to be delivered direct from the manufacturer and our communications to you on dates for delivery were based on their advice, taken in good faith. Unfortunately, that supplier does not offer any kind of tracking that we can pass onto our customers as they use their own small transport team for delivery. We should have communicated this to you.

I understand the item was delivered on Sat 14th, nonetheless we are sorry you waited in on the 13th. Our reduced staff, on reduced hours are literally fire fighting to keep in touch with customers and chase suppliers in respect of stock.

Negative reviews severely impact our small business in a trading environment that is already challenging. We hope you are happy with your mirror and would appeal to you to revise your review rating.

Shower For Student HMO

Shower received in a few days and quality was better than expected for the price - instructions could have been better but that could have been us! We only fit cheap products since they need replacing every other year. Would buy from again.

Danny provided an unfailingly obliging…

Danny provided an unfailingly obliging customer service all the way from sales to after sales and was able to provide a complete replacement of a shower enclosure even though it was my mistake of ordering the wrong item in the first instance and i wasnt charged a single penny for redelivering the item .

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER!.
Sent the wrong item then persisted to lie to us about sending replacement. If they answer the phone they say they will call you back and never do. Have been waiting months for a replacement and are just stringing us along until we give up and accept that we will never see our money again. Untrustworthy! Dishonest! Unprincipled! Dishonourable!

I have ordered Phoenix elegance enclosed with tray three weeks ago and, the builder try to fit the tray came with waste water kits did not fit and it had a problem I phoned the company and explain the problem they promised me to replace it and they will send me another kit waited for three days and nothing arrived, I phoned twice and left message and no one call me back, the after sale service is very bad I will never recommend this company I have spent nearly £700 pounds and in top of that I had to buy another waste water kit

The shower waste you received is a standard 90mm product that is compatible with the shower tray you purchased. The shower tray and waste selected come together as a kit.

We are not privy to the plumbing a customer might have in their property. It is up to the customer or installer to ensure compatibility prior to purchase. Of course, customers are always welcome to return unused items in a saleable condition.

We ask all customers to contact us with any questions, prior to purchase if they are unsure of the product they require or compatibility.
